Modelování silové sítě pro datovou komunikaci / Modelling of Power Line Communication for data transmission

Thesis deals with problems PLC (Power Line Communication) communication. It is aimed at drawing up a suitable model for testing power network PLC communication. The reader is aware of at the beginning of work with the basic principles of PLC systems, distribution and use in communication networks. Another part of the work deals with different types of interference, which occur in power networks and ways to defend against such interference. For example, an appropriate choice of modulation and coding relevant. As a source of interference in the proposed model is used AWGN channel (Additive White Gaussian Noise). Conclusion of work is dedicated to design and build a model for PLC communication. There are three models designed with different OFDM technology. Models therefore vary between different levels of key mapping in OFDM (QPSK, 16-QAM, 64-QAM). It made a detailed description of a set of blocks that were used to build models. The behavior and functionality of the proposed models for broadband PLC communication was verified in the simulation program Matlab Simulink. Finally, it is shown the comparison and evaluation of results of each modulation.

The goal of this thesis is to build up the simulation model in the program Matlab Simulink and compare the attributes of the model with the real pendulum. The next step is to prove a regulation of the model in Matlab Simulink and find the way of controlling the real model by PLC on the basis of results found within the simulation.

The work is about designing a calibration station as an integral component of a company's existing product. The product is a robotic cell that automates the production of pallets. The purpose of the calibration station is to rectify an angular error that occurs on the pallet forks, which is mounted on the robot's tool, whose task is to lift and stack the pallets the robot cell manufactures. The company has theories as to why the angular error occurs and believes that there are a number of factors that influence. The purpose of the calibration station is to be able to calibrate the pallet forks when an angular error occurs and to correct all rotations and translations within an approved tolerance. Methods used to carry out the work are to study the problem and investigate how others have solved similar problems and to gather knowledge in the area of ​​calibration. The calibration station design and sensors are evaluated and discussed to determine which sensor and design will solve the task. Algorithms are programmed to find, calculate and correct angular errors that have occurred. The result of the calibration station that has been designed shows that it works for angular errors less than ten degrees in rotation and for translation in millimeters. After a calibration has been performed on the pallet forks, the result of the calibration falls within the requirements of the tolerances specified in the work. The work concludes with an evaluation of how the calibration station can be developed to perform better. / Arbetet handlar om att konstruera en kalibreringsstation som en ingående komponent i ett företags befintliga produkt. Produkten är en robotcell som automatiserar tillverkningen av pallar. Kalibreringsstationens syfte är att åtgärda ett vinkelfel som uppstår på pallgafflarna, som sitter på robotens verktyg, vars uppgift är att lyfta och stapla de pallar robotcellen tillverkar. Företaget har teorier om varför vinkelfelet uppstår och menar att det är ett flertal faktorer som påverkar. Kalibreringsstationens mål är att kunna kalibrera pallgafflarna när ett vinkelfel uppstår och korrigera alla rotationer och translationer inom en godkänd tolerans. Metoder som används för att genomföra arbetet är att studera problemet och undersöka hur andra har löst liknande problem samt samla kunskap inom området kalibrering. Kalibreringsstationens design samt sensorer utvärderas och diskuteras, för att komma fram till vilken sensor och design som skall lösa uppgiften. Algoritmer programmeras för att hitta, beräkna och korrigera vinkelfel som har uppstått. Resultatet för kalibreringsstationen som har konstruerats visar att den fungerar för vinkelfel mindre än tiotal grader i rotation samt för translation i millimeter. Efter att en kalibrering har utförts på pallgafflarna hamnar resultatet av kalibreringen inom kraven på toleranserna som angivits i arbetet. Arbetet avslutas med en utvärdering hur kalibreringsstationen kan utvecklas för att prestera bättre.

Within the era of the fourth industrial revolution the steel production industry is faced with demands of lower environmental impact and more cost-effective production are some of the challenges faced. To achieve more sustainable and efficient manufacturing processes companies try to digitalize and automate their production to a greater extent. Creating more robust, energy-efficient and adaptable solutions to increase the competitiveness of their company. This master thesis is about reverse engineering an existing solution for vibration measurements used at Alleima Strip. The goal was to create a new in-house solution for vibration measurements according to local programming standards using an ABB AC500v2 CPU paired with a FM502-CMS module. Using vibration measurements as a health indicator Alleima Strip hopes to progress their way of working with maintenance towards being more condition based. The result is a solution for vibration measurements customized for Alleima Strip. The report contains suggestions for improvements of the developed solution as well as ideas for future work.

This degree thesis is based on an assignment from BEOMAT in Storfors. BEOMAT is a company that constructs and sells clay pigeons to both the national and international market. Our main purpose with this paper is to find a solution/system that can replace the expensive and space demanding Olympic trap facility. Our solution will replace fifteen clay pigeon throwers with one automatic thrower who simulate all throwers together. The system will be provided with an appropriate control system for mass production therefore this system needs to be user-friendly so no previous knowledge is required. Totally 405 different throw coordinates will be stored in the programme in nine different subprograms. According to the Olympic-rules the throwers should coincidence within certain specified conditions, this will be solved with an randomizer in the programme. The equipment needs to be able resist all outdoor weathers since it is going to be installed outside. The software has to be enabling to update so the thrower can be reprogrammed or updated for any specific requirements, regulatory reforms etc. In addition, the reader gets an insight into general aims and problems we encountered and resolved during along the way. Thereafter various forms of clay pigeon shooting are presented to give the reader a general picture of how the sport is executed. Finally we describe our actions, the selection of the equipment and also a little about the programming of both PLC and display. The PC control system that was assembled on the clay pigeon shooter earlier did not was a good solution with our requirements. The old system was replaced with PLC model EC-4P-221-MRAD1 with an external steering display. / Examensarbetet har sin utgångspunkt i ett uppdrag från BEOMAT i Storfors, ett företag som konstruerar lerduvekastare och levererar både nationellt och internationellt. Syftet med det här arbetet är att ersätta den dyra och utrymmeskrävande olympiska trappanläggningen som finns i dag med ett system med endast en kastare som är automatiserad och kan simulera alla kastarmar. Systemet ska förses med ett lämpligt styrsystem för masstillverkning som även ska vara användarvänligt så att inga förkunskaper krävs. Totalt skall 405 olika kastkoordinater finnas lagrade i programmet grupperat i nio olika subprogram. Enligt OS-reglerna skall kastarna slumpa inom vissa bestämda villkor. Detta löses med en slumpgenerator i programmet. Utrustningen behöver tåla utomhusklimat för att den ska kunna vara monterad utomhus året runt. Programvaran behöver vara uppgraderingsvänlig så att kastaren kan omprogrammeras eller uppdateras vid eventuella specifika krav, regeländringar etc. Vidare får läsaren en inblick i allmänna målspecifikationer samt problem som uppkommit under arbetes gång samt hur dessa problem lösts. Därefter presenteras lite allmänt olika former inom lerduveskytte för att ge läsaren en överskådlig bild av hur lerduveskytte utövas. Slutligen beskrivs återgärder och val av utrustning samt lite om programmeringen av både PLC och display. Den tidigare styrningen med en PC visade sig vara osmidig och ej uppfylla de kravspecifikationer som ställdes. Detta system ersattes av en PLC av modellen EC-4P-221-MRAD1 med en extern styrdisplay.

<p>En av Glimek AB:s mest förekommande maskiner är SD-180 som används för degavvägning. Den finns i flera olika varianter. Den enklaste har enbart start- och stoppknapp och en potentiometer för att ställa hastigheten och en mer avancerad variant har en operatörspanel där olika möjligheter till inställningar finns.</p><p>Konstruktionen på denna maskin hade inte uppdaterats på många år och behövde en uppdatering av användargränssnitt, programvara och elkonstruktion. Arbetet har framförallt koncentrerat sig på användargränssnittet till panelen.</p><p>En del av arbetet var att undersöka om det var möjligt att utesluta PLC ur konstruktionen och använda en mer avancerad programmerbar frekvensomformare. Eftersom det blev problem med lanseringen av programvara till frekvensomformaren och enbart en mindre bra fungerande demoversion fanns tillgänglig så var detta tyvärr inte möjligt.</p><p>I arbetet har olika varianter på operatörspaneler utretts. Exempel på flödesdiagram till PLC har också gjorts.</p> / <p>One of Glimek AB's most common machines is the dough divider, SD-180. It is available in many different variants. The simplest has only a start- and stop button and a potentiometer to set the speed. A more advanced version has an operator panel with various options.</p><p>The design of this machine had not been updated in many years and needed an update of the user interface, software and electrical construction. The thesis has mainly concentrated on the human machine interface.</p><p>A part of the work was to investigate whether it was possible to exclude the PLC from the design and use a more powerful and programmable frequency inverter.Unfortunately problems arose with the release of the software for the frequency converter. Only a demo version of the software where available and it was not possible to this study because of that.</p><p>Different variants of human machine interface have been investigated. An example flowchart diagram to the PLC has also been made.</p>

O trabalho enfoca a automação predial, procurando analisar, comparativamente, a utilização de tecnologias convencionais e equipamentos empregados na automação de processos industriais. Através de um estudo de caso, efetuou-se uma descrição dos principais sistemas prediais possíveis de serem automatizados em um edifício, efetuando-se uma avaliação comparativa entre os sistemas convencionais e os baseados na automação de processos, permitindo o uso mais eficiente dos insumos prediais, além de aumentar o conforto e a segurança de seus ocupantes. Verificou-se um grande potencial de aplicação dos sistemas de automação de processos industriais, para implementação alternativa nos sistemas de automação predial. / This research focuses building automation, analyzing comparatively the use of conventional technologies and other equipments commonly applied in industrial processes. Through a case study, a description of mainly building systems that are feasible to be automated in high technology buildings has been made, including a comparative evaluation of mainly building systems based on conventional systems and automation process, allowing the most efficient use of building resources, beyond to increase the users’ comfort and security. It was verified a great potential for applications of industrial processes automation systems, as an alternative implementation in building automation systems.
