January 2016 (has links)
The reading proposal shows how The Chandelier can be read as a lyrical novel, an account aesthetically prepared in order to adumbrate as Lispector creates poetics about an uncertain exile, based on elements of experience of the writer and her family and therefore guided by the precepts of biographical criticism. Dealing with elements of experience as a reference for her literature justifies the mention of parallels with the novel In Exile by Elisa Lispector. Differing from the traditional ideas related to the condition of exile, which is notablein Claricean fiction, through the character Virginia, is the representation of exile treated literary, a particular view that converts aesthetically in poetics. In this respect, such poeticsareneither complete nor exhaust the romance of 1946, but extend it under various aspects, for the exercise of writing and work with the language that Clarice Lispector will pursue in the novels to follow, The Besieged City and The Apple in the Dark, 1949 and 1961, respectively, works that will be on the reading horizon and dialogue ofThe Chandelier in this work. The way thatClaricean fictionapproaches the idea of exile is not direct, but there is an oblique reference that can be traced in features that reveal the dialogue between the fictional and cultural, fiction that appears in the lines of your text and the experience of the Writer and her family. A cultural trait will be added both in the composition as in the reading of the novel, reaching the word itself, exiling it also. In fact, when analysing the poetics of exile...
