Krtičková, Adéla January 2014 (has links)
This thesis deals with home births and legal issues related to this topic. There is no specific regulation of home births in the Czech law, but it's possible to use Czech legislation for the interpretation of this issue, especially the legislation of medical law, civil law and criminal law. The issue of home births is recently very actual topic, which can be proven by the current extensive jurisprudence of the Czech and foreign courts, which belongs by the way to major sources of this thesis. In addition to describing the situation in the Czech Republic, I tried to point out some differences between the Czech and foreign law, I tried to outline some changes in the new Czech Civil Code and I also tried to provide some reflections on future trends in the issue of home births in the Czech Republic. The aim of my thesis was to highlight the conflicts of the guaranteed rights contained in the supreme law of which frequent disputes of society are going on, and to provide a possible solution of this situation. The issue of home births include the conflict between the right to protection of life and health, and the right to private and family life, both guaranteed by constitutional law. The right of privacy includes the right of women to freely choose the place of birth for their children, including the...

Odlasová, Ludmila January 2013 (has links)
English Abstract This diploma thesis consists of nine chapters and focuses on the criminal law aspects of the crime - the murder of a newborn baby caused by mother. The first chapter contains an introduction to the topic, mainly the brief historical excursion and analysis of current legislation. The next chapter is devoted to the general discussion of the privileged state of facts. The following passage of my thesis deals with the characteristics of state of facts of newborn's murder crime. The characteristics specifically are: a subject, a subjective aspect, an object and an objective aspect. In the chapter about the subjective aspect (the psychological state of the mother character as a type of crime) I devote more attention to the theme of crime and the problematic term "distress after birth." I'm trying to define the duration of the distress caused by childbirth. In the chapter about the object of the crime, called Newborn's life as the object of a criminal offense, I mainly devote to the material object of an attack. I try to present the different views on the problems of determination of the human's life beginning. The sixth chapter (called Newborn's death as a result of mother's treatment) deals with various ways of murderous treatments, which are supplemented by the casuistry. In this section I also...

Výsledky plodnosti po inseminaci a embryotransferu u skotu / Fertility Results in Beef Cattle: Insemination v. Embryo Transfer

KOČOVSKÁ, Michaela January 2015 (has links)
This thesis focuses on the fertility and fertility results in a monitored breeding herd of Limousin beef cattle. It includes a brief discussion of calf birth weights, their viability, and the time of calving. Taking this information into account, the main objective of this thesis is to present concise and accurate information regarding the age of purebred and crossbred heifers when they are first included in the reproduction process. The thesis also aims to evaluate the pregnancy success rates for insemination, embryo transfer, and natural breeding. Finally, the thesis tracks the calving difficulties experienced by cows and heifers after artificial reproduction methods and natural breeding. The conclusion includes calf birth weight figures and identifies the weight difference between newborn bulls and heifers. The results were evaluated using basic statistical characteristics. The collected data was analyzed according to the breeding method used and taking into account whether a cow or a heifer was involved. The age of purebred heifers during their first breeding is 26.1 months. The age of crossbred heifers included in the reproduction process as embryo recipients was 22.6 months. In the case of natural breeding, the crossbred heifers were first included at the age of 28 months due to the seasonality of the breeding season. The pregnancy success rate for first breeding by insemination is comparable to that for embryo transfer 62% and 63% respectively; in the case of natural breeding, the success rate is 92%. The highest number of easy births was determined for natural breeding (95%), followed by insemination (89%), and embryo transfer (only 61%). The birth weight of heifers was 2 kg less than that of bulls, and thus the number of easy births was higher. The average birth weight in 2014 was 41 kg. The top calving time was between midnight and 4:00 am (30% of the breeding cows).

Alternativní komponenty v KD drápkatých opic jako prevence vzniku makrosomie, diabetes mellitus a porodu mrtvých mláďat / Alternative components in feeding rations for marmosets and tamarins as prevention of macrosomia, diabetes mellitus and stillborn young

Polívková, Martina January 2016 (has links)
This thesis evaluates the suitability of food rations in zoos keeping Callitrichidae considering the prevention of macrosomia, diabetes mellitus and stillborn young, and where needed, suggests a change in feed rations. The feed rations of Callitrichidae in zoos differ greatly and problems can occur with greater amounts of fat and sugars and often also insufficiency of calcium, which can lead to obesity and further health complications. When performing this thesis, all food rations of the pygmy marmoset (Cebuella pygmaea), the silvery marmoset (Mico argentatus), the cotton-top tamarin (Saguinus oedipus), the emperor tamarin (Saguinus imperator) and the golden lion tamarin (Leontopithecus rosalia) was weighted during five days in the Olomouc zoo, the Plzeň zoo and the Jihlava zoo. The values of the rations were set based on table rates of the individual components stated in the program ZootritionTM (V2.6) and the final values compared with the recommendations stated in EAZA Husbandry Guidelines 3rd edition (2015). It was found that changes are needed especially with consideration to the food specialization of the different species, presently all species of Callitrichidae are fed the same rations regardless of their food priorities in the wild. The recommended changes to rations included changing a part of the ration to a ready mixed foodstuff for Callitrichidae to save time and enable a stable ration with good values of calcium and protein, and feed the animals mainly with vegetables rather than fruit, considering the closeness of vegetables to the fruit available in the wild.
