Através do trabalho etnográfico procura analisar os modos pelos quais se conjugam e se embatem as políticas culturais de semelhança e diferença, com uma abordagem que se estende desde a esfera das relações privadas, passa pelo universo do associativismo e, por fim, atinge as políticas nacionais e transnacionais. A dissertação pretende também dar a conhecer a experiência contemporânea desses migrantes portugueses e seus descendentes, refletindo sobre seus principais discursos identitários: invisibilidade, irmandade, ambivalência identitária e luso-brasilidade. Com esse intento, realiza um mapeamento das tensões e dos interesses, dos sentidos e dos significados - que estão por trás de diferentes interpretações e reações desses sujeitos às políticas portuguesa e brasileira - investigando suas correspondências com distintos posicionamentos ideológicos, localizações sociais e trajetórias de vida / Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to understand how the identity reconfiguration and portugalidade reconstructions develop between the Portuguese and luso-descendants of São Paulo. Through the ethnographic work this paper intends to analyze the ways by which the cultural policies of sameness and difference are combined or confronted, with an approach covering from private relationships, going through the uni verse of the associations and, finally, reaching the national and transnational politics. The paper also intends to reveal the contemporary experience of these Portuguese migrants and their descendants, reflecting their main identity speeches: invisibility, brotherhood, identity ambivalence and luso-brasilidade.
