Plurimidialidade e arte / Plurimediality and art

Maria Gabriela Capper 03 September 2015 (has links)
This dissertation seeks both to study and perform certain artistic processes that take place after modernism and with manifest differences in relation to it. In such contemporary art forms, the sensitive components are organized as to blur more and more the borders between artistic specificities. Concepts such as Rosalind Krauss' expanded field, Florencia Garramuño's inespecific art, Dick Higgins' intermedia, Hélio Oiticica's almost-cinema and Ricardo Basbaum's mixture are, among others, highly important to the research, both as objects of study and paradigm for creation. Composed of at least three distinct media (sound, word and image) which, assembled together in a montage, merge into a single work of multiple means between the media, the videos or visual arrangements I present in this paper bear plurimediality as their main feature

Od autonomie k post-autonomii? Případ Autonomního sociálního centra Klinika / From Autonomy to Post-autonomy? Case of Autonomous Social Center Klinika

Böhmová, Ludmila January 2018 (has links)
The focus of my thesis is on the process of transformation of the leftist movement from autonomous to post-autonomous. Specifically, I am interested in the transformation of the Czech squatting movement and the case of the Autonomous Social Centre Klinika. I ask whether it is possible to consider the case of Klinika an example of post-autonomy in Czech context, and which dimensions of the transformation can we identify there. In the theoretical part I define the concept of autonomy and how the autonomous movements understand it. By defining the characteristics of the autonomous movements alongside with theoretical literature, I then identify five dimensions of the transformation from autonomy to post-autonomy. Because the transformation is influenced by both internal and external facts, it is important to me, to firstly understand the neoliberal mode of thinking, its difficulties and other facts, which can determine the transformation. Crucial for research are the data I collect from the semi-structured interviews with respondents, who have been selected based on their experiences with squatting in Czech context.

Revoluční améby: politické přetváření jako umění vzdoru v současném Německu / Revolutionary Amoebas: Political Versatility as the Art of Resistance in Contemporary Germany

Kuřík, Bohuslav January 2015 (has links)
This dissertation is interested in what kind of self and techniques of resistance are acquired in order to be a revolutionary in the contemporary West. While I was conducting an ethnographic research between 2008 - 2015 following young activists from Germany in urban spaces of demonstrations, riots, direct actions, jails, the Internet, universities, housing projects, parent's homes in Germany as well as during solidarity trips to Mexico, Argentina, Israel/Palestine, Denmark or Italy, it was discovered that a concept of political versatility may be helpful here. Young revolutionaries are what I call revolutionary amoebas. Revolutionary amoebas acquire capacities to discuss at universities or public debates, write texts, talk, but they manage to argue beyond the discourse by throwing stones or burning cars in riots, organizing direct actions, smashing corporate properties, beating neonazis, attacking ultranationalists, or actively defending themselves against the police. As citizens of advanced liberal democracy, they enter public discussions of contested opinions, persuade people with their critical arguments and a few of them even vote, but they as well explore the political terrain considered illegal. Many of them know how to get funded from the state, The EU,...
