Zavedenie nového športu padel v Českej republike / The introduction of padel in the Czech Republic

This thesis aims to describe the proposed implementation process of the introduction of padel in the Czech Republic and to draw up a business plan to build the first padel centre in the Czech Republic called Padel centre Prague. The main analytical method is a detailed financial plan on which economic indicators of implementation of this investment project are quantified. Leading procedures for detecting data are questionnaire surveys, telephone query and also an estimate, which is used mainly in the analysis of the financial plan. The estimated average payback period for this investment is 3.2 years, while the real recovery of funds spent on the construction of padel centre should occur during the fifth year of its operation.

Main focus of this thesis is social responsibility in professional football clubs of Europe. The theoretical part first of all describes the concept of corporate social responsibility with the most important characteristics and then explains some specifics of sport in economic terms. In the last part of the theoretical part offers an introduction of international and European football associations. In the practical part, the author describes and reviews the socially responsible activities of these organizations, followed by a comparison of European football leagues from the same perspective. Major part of practical part is focused on the most successful Czech football club AC Sparta Prague. Based on current activities and on a survey of club´s fans, a set of recommendations has been created for future socially responsible activities of the club.

The goal of this Masters Thesis is to analyse economic value added generated by non-financial companies listed on Prague stock exchange. Main goal is not only to calculate the amount of economic value added, but also to compare results of two economic models used to specify Re (Minimal required return of companys own capital), necessary to calculate economic value added. Next goal is to analyze link between economic value added and stock price. Correlation between this two parameters would be a sign of possibility to predict future stock price in dependance on generated economic value added. For this Masters thesis, It is important to have all balance sheets, P/L statements and stock market data for all selected corporations. All these informations were exported from database Thomson Reuters Eikon available on University of economics in Prague.

This thesis deals with the current situation of unconventional vehicles in public transportation in Prague. It includes historical excursion with a detailed overview and outlook for the future with proposals for improvements and expansion of these means of transport. Representatives of the category of unconventional vehicles in Prague are three cableways (to Petřín, to Mrázovka and in the zoo) and five ferries (Lahovičky - Nádraží Modřany, Kotevní -- Císařská louka -- Výtoň, Lihovar -- Veslařský ostrov, V Podbabě -- Podhoří a Sedlec -- Zámky). All five lines of ferries, as well as a funicular to Petrin, are fully integrated into the metropolitan transportation system.

The objective of the thesis is to determine the market value of the company VAFO PRAHA Ltd. as of 1. 1. 2012. VAFO PRAHA manufactures and sells pet food, in the Czech republic and all over the world. The thesis is divided into following parts: strategic and financial analysis, generators of value, financial plan and business valuation. The valuation is based on the EVA Entity method and as a support an EBITDA multiple was used. The final value spread is determined by the alternative scenarios of the EVA Entity method.

This diploma thesis traces the development of the Capital City of Prague`s regional and municipal governmental bodies from 1918 to 1960. The work consists of five main chapters. The first chapter outlines the state of Prague`s municipality prior to 1918. The second chapter spans from 1918 (the birth of Czechoslovakia) to 1938 and the signing of the Munich Agreement. The third chapter covers the period of the Nazi occupation. The fourth chapter draws focus to the post-war developments in Czechoslovakia. The final chapter depicts the processes of public administration during the communist totalitarianism between 1948 and 1960. The objective of diploma thesis is describe important events in development of Capital City of Prague. The work also pays attention to individual representatives of Prague`s municipal politics. The diploma thesis Printed Municipal Bulletins in Prague-We st District and Beroun District deals with municipal printed bulletins as a specific kind of media. Municipal bulletins provide information about political, economic, cultural, and sport events in respective areas. They have a very important role in distribution of local news. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first part offers the definition of municipal bulletins and other important terms, and a description of legal aspects of their publishing. The second part analyzes results of a questionnaire research, which was conducted with publishers of municipal bulletins in Prague-West District and Beroun District. The purpose of this research was to obtain complex information on the number of municipal bulletins that are currently published in the districts. The research focused on organizational, economic, technical, and personnel background of publishing of the municipal bulletins. This important part of the research also attempted to obtain information about the level of pluralism of provided by the bulletins. The third part contains results of in-depth interviews with persons who are in charge of publishing the bulletins. This diploma thesis focuses on the history of the faculty of theology in Prague from its foundation in 1347 until the outbreak of the Hussite revolution. This thesis first maps the assumptions of the establishment of general teaching in Prague and the founding act of Pope Clement VI. and Emperor Charles IV. Subsequently, the beginnings of teaching at the faculty of theology and its institutional development until 1419 are described. Special attention is paid to the issue of the papal establishment of the faculty, the organization of studies and the role of the Archbishop of Prague as the university chancellor. The internal difficulties of the faculty and the placement of the faculty of theology in the context of the history of Charles University are not neglected either. Methodologically, the work is based on a comparison of literature, and analysis of sources.

The student will compile a thesis about the period of dogmatic socialist realism in czech architecture in 1950s. The student will start with a definition of this style, will try to reconstruct a theoretical resources and fundamental parts of socialist realism and then determine the pre-stages in the architecture before the second world war. The attention will be focused on influnces and imports from The Soviet Union including the journeys of czechoslovakia architects there between 1920s-1930s and in 1950s. Own architecture production of dogmatic socialist realism in Czechoslovakia will be shown on chosen buildings in Prague (hotel Jalta, hotel International…). From this selection the student will determine its specifications and if it is possible to infer them based on the comparsion with the other buildings in Czechoslovakia.
