REVITALIZACE BÝVALÉ TOVÁRNY ČKD V PRAZE , VYSOČANECH / REVITALIZATION OF ČKD FORMER FACTORIES IN PRAGUE, VYSOČANY

Formánek, Jakub January 2019 (has links)
Prague and other cities in the Czech republic are currently struggling with a housing crisis, which causes raising of prices of houses and apartments. For many people it is an unapproachable goal to own a place. Suburb living projects are a slightly cheaper option, although they increase transportation demands and it is not a sustainable option in general. The city government is trying to support transformations of industrial areas - former factories or abandoned buildings – called brownfields. Vysočany district has changed a lot recently. Former industrial areas are demolished and replaced by new residential or administrative buildings. All the development projects have one thing in common – the absence of something that connects them into urban structure. The aim of this project is to desing a new construction instead of former CKD factories, which are not used anymore. Three new urban blocks nearby Kolbenova street are trying to respect other buildings around (if possible) and create a standard for future development. Also, they support the effort of the city council to create a lively boulevard on Kolbenova street. The project is designed as a polyfunctional unit to remain active during the whole day. The concept comprises urban residental blocks, administrative buildings and public spaces.

The dissertation be about use the opportunity of 3D modelling geological settings for definitions engineering geology zoning. The model area represents the map sheet 6 - 8 Kralupy nad Vltavou in scale 1:5 000, which is built by rocks (pre-Quaternary) and soils (Quaternary cover) divided into eleven engineering geology zones. The results of modelling are showing at the map appendices, which are engineering maps all of nine the individual roof (surface) of zones, including the 3D section in the direction of x axis and also five of the 2D maps of roof of selected zones with the 3D schematic models. The integral part is the map of documentation points and their database on DVD. Three dimensional modelling presents a benefit mainly therefore the solutions, where are visible the spatial geological settings including the thickness individual layers, respectively zones. These display options can have practically used at designing underground buildings, e.g. tunnels, where would it mean shortening time the preparation of the project. Modelling of the zones also shown a possibility of distinction the mistakes at some archive hole. Palmovka - trhlina v městské struktuře / Palmovka: A Rupture in the Urban Structure

Platil, David January 2019 (has links)
The topic of this diploma thesis is the landscape, specifically the urban landscape of Prague's Palmovka and its various dimensions. In a social anthropological and culturally geographical discourse, the landscape is a complex, multidimensional and multi-layered concept that opens up interesting research questions and imaginations. In this discourse, the landscape is not only a summary of the material aspects of the natural environment around us, but it is also a field of political negotiations, power tensions, experiences, representations and generally interactions between itself and man. From this point of view, the author explores the landscape of Palmovka, which is itself a multi-layered and complex in a view of the diversity of urban structures, historical memos, unrealized visions of development and long-term search for unified concept by various actors during political negotiations that would give this inner city landscape a face. This negotiation is also related to observable processes changing both the physical and social dimension of Palmovka based on efforts to regenerate the area. These processes also include the gentrification which means the migration of young and mostly university-educated people to the older parts of the inner city. Therefore, mainly on the basis of field...
