Based on the Appreciative Inquiry method, group dynamics were organised and conceived as encounters between inmates and the prison staff. Starting from these meetings, week after week and along the interactions, the study set its purpose: to find out what are the goals and other benchmark standards to behave into the prison. Then, thanks to the data analysis, the issue about the prisoners rehabilitation (ressocialização in portuguese) was highlighted as the most relevant one. What appeared central to the discussions was the use of this expression as a keyword by the prison unity so that this one could implement the legitimacy of its action. Nevertheless, since the end of the empirical activities, it has been appointed that the meaning of this word as a goal for the prison in question has not been discovered yet. Therefore, in the frame of this research, the notion of rehabilitation in jail is going to be explored and discussed factually, that is to say, by the people who are experiencing the daily life in this place. Indeed, rather than a guide for action concerning everybody in the unity, rehabilitation has been understood more as language convention between the different profiles of persons. This way, as a deal, it may enable the prevention of open conflicts into the institution in question. / La recherche en présence relate l’expérience d’une analyse inductive ayant pour objet d’étude un univers carcéral en particulier, celui de l’Unité 1 du Complexe Pénal de Ribeirão das Neves au Minas Gerais (Brésil). Partant de l’implémentation de dynamiques de groupe inspirées de la Démarche Appréciative, mettant en contact détenus et professionnels, ce travail eût premièrement pour objectif de décanter, au fur et à mesure des interactions, les finalités et les normes de référence pour l’action au sein de la prison. Ensuite, à partir de l’analyse de ces données, une problématique majeure s’est imposée autour du thème de la réinsertion. Au centre des énoncés, la réinsertion est un mot-clé sur lequel l’unité pénitentiaire souhaite fonder la légitimité de ses actes. Pourtant, au sortir des activités de recherche, nous ne savons toujours pas ce à quoi ce terme se réfère en tant que finalité de l’organisation. Par conséquent, dans le cadre de cette étude, il conviendra de s’interroger sur ce qu’est factuellement la réinsertion dans la prison et ce, notamment pour ceux qui vivent au quotidien. En effet, plus qu’un véritable guide pour l’action de tous, la réinsertion a plutôt été comprise comme une convention de language entre les différents profils de personnes peuplant la prison, permettant ainsi de prévenir l’explosion de conflits au sein de l’établissement. / O presente estudo relata a experiência de uma análise indutiva tendo como objeto de estudo um determinado universo carcerário, o da Unidade 1 do Complexo Penal de Ribeirão das Neves em Minas Gerais no Brasil. Partindo da implementação de dinâmicas de grupo inspiradas pela Abordagem Apreciativa, colocando em contato internos e profissionais, em primeiro lugar, esse trabalho teve o objetivo de decantar, ao longo das interações entre as pessoas, as finalidades e as normas de referência para a atuação na prisão. Em seguida, a partir da análise desses dados, uma problemática significativa se impus em torno do tema da ressocialização. No centro dos enunciados, a ressocialização é uma palavra-chave sobre a qual a unidade penitenciária deseja fundamentar a legitimidade dos seus atos. Entretanto, fechando as atividades de pesquisa, não se sabe ainda ao que esse termo se refere como finalidade da organização. Por conseguinte, no quadro desse estudo, convirá interrogar-se sobre o que é factualmente a ressocialização para os que vivem no dia-a-dia na prisão. De fato, mais do um guia para a atuação de todos, entendeu-se aos poucos que a ressocialização constitui uma convenção de linguagem entre os diferentes perfis de pessoas povoando o cárcere, permitindo a prevenção de conflitos abertos no seio do estabelecimento.
