Para a realização deste trabalho, foram utilizados os microdados, referentes ao município de Juiz de Fora, do Censo Demográfico de 2000, realizado pelo IBGE, e documentos produzidos pela Prefeitura de Juiz de Fora, entre os anos de 1998 e 2006, referentes ao processo de planejamento urbano da cidade. Acreditamos que este estudo poderá fundamentar não só a formulação de políticas públicas que garantam os direitos dos idosos, mas também daquelas direcionadas para o aprofundamento da democracia e a ampliação da cidadania da população municipal. / The central proposal of this study is to know the profile of the aged population in Juiz de Fora - MG, privileging the social-economic characteristics, the space distribution and the access to the urban equipment and social resources of the city, having as analysis axle the process of social-space segregation. For the accomplishment of this work, it was used the microdata, of Juiz de Fora, the Demographic Census of 2000, carried through for the IBGE, and documents produced for the City Hall of Juiz de Fora, between 1998 and 2006, referring to the process of urban planning of the city. We believe that this study it will be able to not only base the formularization of public politics that guarantee the rights of the aged ones, but also of those directed for the deepening of the democracy and the magnifying of the Juiz de Fora’s population citizenship.

One tried to understand the representation of the elderly and of aging through different historical periods, outlining an overview of aging in different societies, thus obtaining a framework of the issues present in today's clinic. Grounded on these studies, I have mapped out contemporary scenes, as they show the social representations of old age in fragments from the media (soap operas, films, Internet, newspapers, magazines and literature). Naturally, an expressive number of my patients has been exposed to this media universe. Therefore, this study has been based on five of my patients, who took part in an institution s therapeutic group for five years. I observed, during the therapy sessions, that the clinic for aging (term coined by me) was lacking in studies that could contribute to the understanding of this phase of human development with its very specific and singular characteristics. It was then necessary to map out the biological and psychic aspects, as well as to discriminate them, once the processes of aging and falling ill, although sometimes seen as intertwined, not always are. Finally, the clinic for aging acquires a new specific aspect with the presentation of the clinic cases mentioned, which served the purpose of illustrating the psychic issues experienced / Essa tese teve como objetivo verificar por meio da bibliografia psicanalítica fundamentalmente na matriz teórica freudiana caminhando para autores da psicanálise contemporânea quais questões e aspectos necessitavam de maior atenção no processo do envelhecer. Buscou-se aqui entender a representação do velho e da velhice percorrendo diferentes períodos históricos, traçando um panorama do envelhecimento em diferentes sociedades obtendo, dessa maneira, um quadro das questões presentes na clínica contemporânea. A partir desses estudos mapeei as cenas da contemporaneidade, pois elas nos mostram as representações sociais da velhice por meio de fragmentos da mídia (novelas, filmes, Internet, jornais, revistas e literatura). Naturalmente parte expressiva dos pacientes atendidos por mim esteve atravessada por tal universo midiático. Logo, este estudo foi realizado com base no atendimento de cinco pacientes e um grupo terapêutico (atendido numa instituição) ao longo do período de cinco anos. Pôde-se perceber que a clínica do envelhecimento (expressão cunhada por mim) no decorrer desses atendimentos carecia de estudos que contribuíssem para a compreensão dessa fase do desenvolvimento humano, dotada de características singulares, muito especificas. Foi então necessário mapear aspectos biológicos e psíquicos, bem como discriminá-los, pois o processo do envelhecimento e do adoecer embora possam parecer mesclados nem sempre caminham juntos. Finalmente a clínica do envelhecimento ganha um contorno específico com a apresentação dos casos clínicos mencionados que tiveram a incumbência de ilustrar as problemáticas psíquicas vivenciadas

In the Brazilian case, projections indicate that within twenty years it will be the sixth most-aged country in the word. The object of study of this research is to analyze the evaluation of the programs, projects, services and activities of the health care of the elderly from the indicators of accessibility, quality and effectiveness. This research aims to establish whether the programs , projects, services and activities of the health care of the elderly produce positive impacts in these users from the perspective of quality of life. For both, the research sought to evaluate the health car of the elderly, developed by Specialized Center for Health Care of the Elderly (CEASI), In The City of Natal/RN. In methodological terms, this process is investigative typified as a search field of character with the adoption of evaluative tools and techniques quali-quantitative using the chip cadastral institutional , the questionnaire with the professionals and semi-structured interviews with 40 (forty) elderly, users CEASI. The data collection occurred between the years of 2006 to 2007. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics of reading and analysis of content categorization by topic. The results showed that 100% of the elderly interviewed seeking programs and curative health services, 90% are carriers of chronic diseases, 87,5% have problems of access to services of CEASI, both to personal, especially difficulty of mobility and financial and institutional order, especially the bureaucracy and geographic location of the centre. . In inconclusive terms, it shows that although the proposed program of work of CEASI inset itself in the perspective of the rights of senior citizens, the achievement of universality and accessibility is far from effective. It was found that despite the existence of social legislation to guarantee the rights of the elderly, there are significant parcels of the group who are excluded, especially their rights to health care. Evidence itself as elements constraints in this table: the lack of clarification and ignorance Aging of his health/disease , as well as the existence of structural determinants that hamper access, quality and effectiveness of health care. / A avaliação da assistência à saúde do idoso torna-se uma necessidade premente em face da explosão demográfica deste segmento populacional em escala mundial e no caso brasileiro, projeções indicam que dentro de vinte anos será o sexto país mais envelhecido do mundo. O objeto de estudo desta pesquisa consiste na análise avaliativa dos programas, projetos, serviços e ações de assistência à saúde do idoso a partir dos indicadores de acessibilidade, de qualidade e de efetividade. Esta pesquisa objetiva verificar se os programas, projetos, serviços e ações de assistência à saúde do idoso produzem impactos positivos nesses usuários a partir da perspectiva da qualidade de vida. Para tanto, buscou-se avaliar a assistência à saúde dos idosos, desenvolvida pelo Centro Especializado de Atenção à Saúde do Idoso (CEASI), na cidade de Natal/RN. Em termos metodológicos, este processo investigativo se tipifica como uma pesquisa de campo de caráter avaliativo com a adoção de instrumentos e técnicas quali-quantitativas mediante o uso da ficha cadastral institucional, do questionário junto aos profissionais e da entrevista semi-estruturada junto a 40 (quarenta) idosos, usuários do CEASI. A coleta de dados ocorreu entre os anos de 2006 a 2007. Os dados coletados foram analisados através da leitura estatística descritiva e da análise de conteúdo por categorização temática. Os resultados revelaram que 100% dos idosos entrevistados procuram os programas e os serviços de saúde curativa; 90% são portadores de doenças crônicas; 87,5% apresentam problemas de acesso aos serviços do CEASI, tanto de ordem pessoal, sobretudo dificuldade de locomoção e financeira como de ordem institucional, especialmente a burocracia e a localização geográfica do Centro. Em termos conclusivos, comprova-se que embora a proposta programática de atuação do CEASI insira-se na perspectiva dos direitos dos cidadãos idosos, a concretização da universalidade e acessibilidade está longe de ser efetivada. Verificou-se que apesar da existência da legislação social de garantia dos direitos dos idosos, há parcelas significativas desse grupo que se encontram excluídas, sobretudo dos seus direitos à assistência à saúde. Evidenciam-se como elementos condicionantes a esse quadro: a falta de esclarecimento e o desconhecimento do idoso do seu estado de saúde/doença, bem como a existência de determinantes estruturais que dificultam o acesso, a qualidade e a efetividade da atenção à saúde.

Fundamental Psychopathology - from the point of view of its dedication and comprehension of pathic phenomenon as a constituting art of the individual offers us, a long with the psychoanalytical metapsychology and clinical practice, a rich material that assists us in the comprehension of the psychological aspects of natural aging and senility. Senile dementia present themselves as a psychopathological phenomenon, typical of this phase of life, that hot only affect the patient, but also all those around him. Therefore, the goal of this paper, besides amplifying the knowledge of this symptomathological picture, is to consider the psychopathological as a fertile and therapeutical ground, able to supply, through transference, a healthy meet among the several psychic moments and the nature of the agind body / O ser humano vem atingindo idades cada vez mais elevadas. Civilizações ao redor do globo estão submersas em um irreversível processo de envelhecimento populacional o que afeta não só as diversas culturas como, também, nos coloca diante de questões mais singulares e mais subjetivas a respeito do trabalho psíquico intrínseco à passagem da fase adulta para a fase senil da vida. A Psicopatologia Fundamental a partir de sua dedicação a compreensão do fenômeno páthico como constituinte do sujeito nos oferece, juntamente com a metapsicologia psicanalítica e a prática clínica, uma riqueza de materiais que nos auxilia na compreensão dos aspectos psicológicos da senescência e da senilidade. As demências senis se apresentam como um fenômeno psicopatológico típico desta etapa da vida e que afeta não só o paciente, mas todos aqueles com quem convive. This thesis deals with the comparison of the European Union countries, in particular their schemes of pension and living standard of pensioners who use these schemes in confrontation with the economic standard of these countries. After a theoretical introduction, where various aspects of operation and theoretical construction of the pension system are introduced, there follows a brief outline of the situation in each country, completed with comparison of the values of indicators relating to the pension systems. The middle part of this thesis is devoted to the process of population aging, as the main cause of the current need for reforming the pension systems and the adequacy of extending the age for retirement. The last part of this thesis is devoted to determining the sequence of the states of the European Union by the standard of living of people in retirement age and confronting these results with the information on economic standard of these countries.
