Camera based texture mapping: 3D applications for 2D images

Bowden, Nathan Charles 29 August 2005 (has links)
This artist??s area of research is the appropriate use of matte paintings within the context of completely computer generated films. The emphasis of research is the adaptation of analog techniques and paradigms into a digital production workspace. The purpose of this artist??s research is the development of an original method of parenting perspective projections to three-dimensional (3D) cameras, specifically tailored to result in 3D matte paintings. Research includes the demonstration of techniques combining two-dimensional (2D) paintings, 3D props and sets, as well as camera projections onto primitive geometry to achieve a convincing final composite.

Equivalence Transformations for a System of a Biological Reaction Diffusion Model / Equivalence Transformations for a System of a Biological Reaction Diffusion Model

Yan, Zifei January 2012 (has links)
A biological reaction diusion model has gained much attention recently. This model is formulated as a system of nonlinear partial dierential equations that contains an unknown function of one dependent variable. How to determine this unknown function is complicated but also useful. This model is considered in this master thesis. The generators of the equivalence groups and invariant solutions are calculated.

Geometric properties of outer automorphism groups of free groups

Taylor, Samuel Joseph 01 July 2014 (has links)
This thesis examines geometric aspects of the outer automorphism group of a finitely generate free group. Using recent advances made in understanding mapping class groups as our primary motivation, we refine methods to understand the structure of Out(F_n) via its action on free factors of F_n. Our investigation has a number of applications: First, we give a natural notion of projection between free factors, extending a construction of Bestvina-Feighn. Second, we provide a new method to produce fully irreducible automorphisms of F_n using combinations of automorphism supported on free factors. Finally, we use these results to give a general construction of quasi-isometric embeddings from right-angled Artin groups into Out(F_n). / text

Užsiėmimų tvarkaraščių projektavimo sistema / Schedule projection system

Jociūtė, Dovilė 30 May 2005 (has links)
That project’s purpose is to create the Schedule Projection System. Tere is given information about analogous Schedule Projection Systems in Lithuania and other countries. It was used “fall” model for that system’s creating control. The program was created in Microsoft Visual Basic environment and it uses OLE interface for comunicating with Microsoft Exel program. Schedule Projection System runs in any computer with x86 architecture, Microsoft Windows operating system and Microsoft Office pack. Systems documentation: Projection methodology and technology analysis. Requirements specification. Detailed project’s plan. System’s working documentation: System functional description. System manager. System installation document System administrator document After program’s revise and testing procedures the system was evaluated like specious for exploitation.
