Os sentidos do envelhecer na preparação de cuidadores formais de idosos: uma estratégia de promoção de saúde / The senses of aging in the formal caregivers\' preparation of senior: a strategy of promotion of health

Paulin, Grasielle Silveira Tavares 17 June 2011 (has links)
The changes come of the aging contribute for many seniors need somebody to aid them in daily activities. Of that need the ransom of the seniors\' formal caretaker\'s illustration appears, that in many cases pass us under an inattentive glance and without the due qualification, resulting in so much waste for the senior as for the caregiver, that also needs cares. It was aimed at to identify and to analyze the senses of aging, the support sources to the senior and the process of administration of the self-care according to the formal caregivers\' glance of senior. It is treated of a qualitative research with a sample of 18 formal caregivers with age group among 25 to 45 years, that participated in the National Program of Qualification of Caregivers of Dependent Seniors developed by ministry of Health and Ministry of the Social Development, in the cities of Blumenau and Rio de Janeiro in the year of 2009. It was used for collection of the data a semi-structured interview, the technique of the focal group and as tool for it analyzes of the data the software Atlas.ti 6.0. Para interpretation of the information was used as methodological referential analyzes it of speech, of head office pêcheutiana. In relation to the formal caregivers\' profile, there was prevalence: of the sex feminine, low education and remuneration, time of exercise of the occupation from 1 to 3 months, most possessed experience she foresaw with the family seniors\' care, they presented as reason of if they turn caregivers the satisfaction and the talent, they demonstrated larger difficulty to work with the themes: death, persistence, insanities, schizophrenia, loss of memory, control of the feeding, oral hygiene and relationship with the senior\'s relatives. They described as self-care activities: physical and related activities the corporal and a esthetic image, periodic consultations, healthy feeding, leisure activities and adaptation of the sleep, and as the accomplishment of pleased activities was outstanding the work as caregiver, the presence of social nets, spirituality and taking care of the children, of the house and of dear people. With relationship to the senses of aging was observed that the age can be seen as an event that generates a \"discomfort\" while for other this is positive and she becomes a space where the desire can continue existing even in conformity with the inevitable changes. It was noticed that the family is turned off at the present time of the care to the senior and as the administration of the self-care, the caregivers presented care conducts with itself, being some of them stimulated by the program that they were participating, being many adopted of form prescritiva demonstrating that the lifestyle is still understood by the population and for the professionals of health inside of the established vision in the hegemonic model medicate. It is ended therefore, that the formal caregivers are prone to think the aging for the fact of they take care of seniors, what turns urgent the creation of a politics of preparation of human resources in the geriatrics area and gerontology that qualify these caregivers in the care to the senior and mainly in your kindred self-care that this social actor is capable to leave of the invisibility and he can think and to manage your aging in a healthy way.
