Protokol pro sběr biofyzikálních parametrů vegetace v terénu / Field protocol for in-situ biophysical parameters collection

Šudová, Markéta January 2019 (has links)
Field protocol for in-situ biophysical parameters collection Abstract The main aim of diploma thesis is to design a unified protocol intended for collecting of in-situ biophysical parameters of vegetation based on an up-to-now published literature as well as on my own experimental measuring. The key for measuring of high- quality field data, that are suitable for a subsequent validation of remote sensing products, is an implementation of unified rules as well as all the phases of data collecting, a recommended preparation before the very measuring, the choice of a sampling scheme and a processing of measured data. Based on an accessible literature the current methods of LAI data measuring were evaluated and the basic protocol parameters were defined. For designing of a proper parameterization of this protocol an experimental field measurement was carried out. A determination of a suitable number of partial measurements within ESU is given by a relationship between the number of partial measurements and MSE value. The sampling schemes stated in a literature as well as my own designed sampling schemes are subsequently tested in order to determine a suitable sampling scheme. Based on achieved MSE values the most suitable sampling scheme that was later verified in field measuring was evaluated. Based on a field...

An evaluation of the necessity to use structured protocols to conduct forensic interviews / by Adriana van Deventer.

Van Deventer, Adriana January 2012 (has links)
Child sexual abuse cases are particularly important in ensuring that victims and falsely accused individuals are protected and perpetrators are successfully convicted. Recent and continuing increases in the number of children who allege that they have been victims of sexual abuse have emphasized the need for evaluating the competence and credibility of young witnesses. This research focussed on evaluating the use of a structured, evidence-based interview protocol which can determine whether legal action is required and whether the investigation process is legally sound and scientifically validated. The empirical investigation focused on obtaining data by conducting focus groups. This is called group interviewing, and is considered a qualitative method. An exploratory research design was used to gain insight into the use of the forensic interview that is relatively new and unstudied in South Africa. Two different focus groups were held, one of which consisted of participants with post graduate training in conducting a forensic interview using evidence-based protocols. In contrast, the other focus group participants had no post graduate training, but nevertheless conducted interviews with abused children. It was evident that the social workers who had post graduate training in forensic interviewing and employing a structured evidence-based protocol perceived it to be an indispensable tool. The social workers without post graduate training showed limited knowledge of the structured forensic interview. The outcome of the findings proved the necessity of having a structured evidence-based protocol to conduct forensic interviews. If a forensic interview is used, it is possible to obtain a single, objective, clear picture of the details of the alleged abuse – who abused the child, when and how often, how it occurred and where. The forensic interview can lead to the successful investigation and prosecution of criminal offences that depend on obtaining reliable information from child victims and witnesses. / Thesis (MSW (Forensic Practice))--North-West University, Potchefstroom Campus, 2013.

Naivní a instruovaný popis hlasu / Naive and instructed description of voices

Průchová, Tereza January 2018 (has links)
This thesis deals with the description of the human voice from the forensic phonetic perspective. At the beginning of the theoretical part, some important cases from the history of this field are mentioned, as well as the attitude of judges to the voice as evidence. The main tasks of forensic phonetics are then briefly presented. The remainder of the theoretical part is devoted to summarizing the existing knowledge from the field of audiovisual perception and comparison of voice description and face description, including several concrete examples of systematic approaches to obtaining these descriptions, both for professional purposes and for the needs of investigators in practise. The aim of the practical part is to compare the initial uninstructed, naive description of the voice of selected speakers, obtained from the respondents in a simulated police questioning, followed by an instructed systematic description according to the interrogation protocol, which uses the layman's formulation of the individual questions instead of the original phonetic terminology, and illustrative sound samples to make it easier for the respondents to understand the protocol and to give a more detailed account of the heard voice. The first part of the results analysis is devoted primarily to the naive testimony of the...

Protokol sexuality ve vybraných zařízeních sociálních služeb v Jihočeském kraji. / The protocol of sexuality in chosen organizations of social services in Southern region.

TALICH, Jan January 2012 (has links)
Sexuality protocol regulates rights and obligations of social services providers, their employees and users. The aim of the diploma thesis was to confirm or disprove an existence of sexuality protocols or documents with an identical meaning in chosen social service facilities in the South Bohemian Region, to analyze found documents and to realize interviews with selected social workers. The diploma thesis contains a theoretical and research parts. In the theoretical part the author deals with a definition of a human sexuality, sexual norms and functions, as well as a person with a disability in terms of his rights for the sexuality, characteristics of their development and ultimately social services in the context of a fulfilment of human rights of the person with a disability to experience his sexuality. The research of the diploma thesis consisted of a preliminary research and the research itself. The preliminary research was realized as a public inquiry investigation. The researched was designed with a regard to the infrequent and unexplored topic, a qualitative form with an application of methods of content analysis of documents and interviews, more precisely using a technique of depth semi-structured interviews. Based on the performed research 4 sexuality protocols or documents of the identical meaning were analyzed in the target group of the social services providers. The analysis showed a diverse representation of coherent themes in the found protocols in comparison with a model sexuality protocol, which has been described in the professional literature. Further the author shows considerable differences in an internal structure of the coherent themes in the documents themselves which leads to a distorted reporting, particularly in a field of the parenthood for people with mental and multiple disabilities. Based on the analysis of the model document, the author proposes a fixed structure of the various protocol topics for an objective and balanced form of the protocols. The experience of the social workers with the sexuality protocol can be summarized in three basic lines: an indispensable cooperation of the management and direct care workers in developing the sexuality protocol, a sense of the securing in the work with a sexuality of the users as a benefit of the protocol for the employees and a change of an approach to the users in terms the organization and employees.
