Den här uppsatsen syftar till att undersöka hur media framställer Malmö stad i samband med bombdådet på Rättscentrum natten till den 1 december 2014. Detta sker genom en diskursanalys av sex svenska kvälls- och dagstidningar. Uppsatsens teoretiska utgångspunkter är Stanley Cohen's Moralpanik samt Ernesto Laclau's och Chantal Mouffe's Diskursteori. De sex kvälls- och dagstidningar som valts ut är de allra första rapporteringarna om bombdådet i Malmö. Under analysen har tidningarna analyserats utifrån sex olika diskurser. Dessa diskurser är: Bombdådet påRättscentrum i Malmö stad, undran om vem/vilka som ligger bakom dådet, polisstyrkan, vittnenas talan samt första bombdådet. Resultatet visar bland annat att tidningarna konstruerar rapporteringarna på ett sätt som framkallar och får publiken att reagera. Tidningarna använder även ett antal begrepp och fraser som skapar bilen av Malmö som en otrygg stad. / In this study, the main focus has been the medias construction of Malmo in conjunction with the bombing of the judical center the night of 1 December 2014. This is done through a discourse analysis of six swedish tabloid newspapers, evening and daily newspapers. The thesis uses the theoretical points from Stanley Cohen, Moral panic, and Ernesto Laclau and Chantal Mouffe's discourse theory. The six tabloid newspapers are the very first reports that indicate the bombing in Malmo. The tabloid newspapers has been analysed by sic different discourses. These discourses are: Bombing of the judical center in the city of Malmo, the wonder about who/what is behind theattack, police, witnesses' statements and the first bombing. The results shows that the newspapers constructs reports in a way that provokes and will make the audience react. The newspapers also uses a number of terms and phrases that create pictures of Malmo as an unsafe city.
