1 ABSTRACT This diploma thesis deals with interactive book for preschool children and their benefits and risks. In the theoretical part it is discuss the definition of interaction and interactive book, and its brief history. It provides a overview of the categories of interactive books available in internal bookstores. Finally it is put into context of interactive book characteristics of a pre- school child (developmental specifics, reading literacy, relationship to a book, the role of an adult). The research part of this work examines by method of content analysis of texts of two international empirical studies and questionnaire research between parents and teachers. Results show the benefits and risks of an interactive book for preschool children. Among the most frequently cited benefits were the development of eye-hand coordination, speech, thinking, and fantasy development. Opposidly, the most frequently cited risks were the quality of the book, child's attention on the physical handling of moving parts rather than on the story, and the interconnection of the illustration / moving elements with the story of the book. Rozvoj čtenářské gramotnosti: Edukační model na bázi metody Podvojného zápisu / Progress in Reading Literacy: Education Model based on Double-entry Diary method

Ronková, Jolana January 2015 (has links)
In this study, I analyse current studies to discover the common Double-Entry Diary points which result in reading literacy development and find the essential data which support this theory and describe the state of reading among Czech children from eight to fifteen years of age. Although reading literacy is a well-recognized feature of academic writing, little research has been undertaken as to its models. Because the purpose of reading is using the texts as efficiently as possible, teachers should use methods which allow a variety of active strategies. What we need is a sustained coordinated effort. In my study I focus on fourth-grade primary schools learners who have mastered the technique of reading and are ready to improve their understanding of the text and get an idea of what is hidden beyond the text. Its goal is to familiarize the reader with the reasons for effective education using the Double-Entry Diary method, which originated in the Reading and Writing for Critical Thinking International Consortium. This paper focuses on the issue of theoretical analysis of previous research and literature. It presents specific educational practices and deals with the consequences that lead to practical usage of this method. The research analysis indicates much strength in this teaching method. This...

Läsförståelse ur ett lärarperspektiv : En intervjustudie om lärares syn på undervisning i läsförståelse i årskurs 1–3

Breuer Thapa, Hajnalka January 2022 (has links)
Godkännande datum: 2022-01-16

Didaktická interpretace novely Romeo, Julie a tma pro SŠ / Didactic interpretation of the novella Romeo, Julie a tma for secondary school

Stollová, Anna January 2021 (has links)
The submitted diploma thesis deals with the didactic interpretation of the novella Romeo, Julie a tma in high school. The aim of the first part is to collect and evaluate professional literature on literary historical and theoretical aspects of the selected work and its context. Attention is also paid to other works that the author published before this novel (Plným krokem, Občan Brych) or thematically related to it (Kulhavý Orfeus). The next part of the work deals with the interpretation of the text and its position in literary education, the concept of which is defined in the framework of educational plan for gymnasium. At the same time, this work tries to reflect how the concept is reproduced in school educational practice. The practical part is then devoted to the interpretive analysis of the novel, processed according to the model of the Czech Book Seminar (Seminář České knižnice), grounded on the areas of analysis (based on the structure of oral Czech language and literature Maturita exam). Deriving from the interpretive analysis, the actual proposal of the didactic situation for gymnasium is presented. It is grounded on direct work with literary texts, with the individual phases of teaching, which are based on the phases of the reading process (phases before reading, during reading and after...

ALIGNMENT OF INDONESIAN CURRICULUM WITH PROGRESS IN INTERNATIONAL READING LITERACY STUDY (PIRLS)

Mulyani, Petra Kristi 01 June 2021 (has links) (PDF)
Progress in International Reading Literacy Study (PIRLS) was used to measure Indonesian fourth grade elementary school students’ reading comprehension in 2006 and 2011. Indonesian students scored among the lowest of the participating countries with a score of 405 in 2006 and 428 in 2011, with the PIRLS average scale score being 500. These results raised questions about the alignment of the Indonesian curriculum with PIRLS. Alignment research between the PIRLS 2021 frameworks and the Curr13 language standards and textbooks (the current Indonesian curriculum) was conducted to provide Kemendikbud (Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture) with a prediction of students’ performance in future PIRLS. The alignment research was mixed methods research with an exploratory sequential design (a three-phase design). The first phase was qualitative data collection and analysis. Alignment instruments were developed using the components of Webb, NAEP ESSI, and HumRRO alignment models. The second phase identified features to be tested, where I revised the alignment instruments, guidelines, and codebook based on the first phase and created a new table. The revised instruments were then used to align Curr13 and PIRLS. The third phase was quantitative calculation using Webb's quantitative criteria (categorical concurrence, depth-of-knowledge consistency [DOK], range-of-knowledge correspondence, and balance of representation) and descriptive statistics. After the three phases, the interpretation used both the qualitative and quantitative data. The results found inconsistencies between Curr13 and PIRLS frameworks. There was no categorical concurrence between PIRLS frameworks and Curr13 unit assessments. Curr13 language standards and unit assessments did not include one PIRLS framework, evaluating and critiquing content and textual elements. This resulted in the absence of DOK for this framework. One PIRLS framework mostly covered by Curr13 language standards and unit assessments was interpreting and integrating ideas and information. DOK and balance of representation were achieved in this framework. Two PIRLS frameworks on comprehension processes (focusing on and retrieving explicitly stated information and making straightforward inferences) aligned to Curr13 and had a balance of representation but weak DOK. Meanwhile, Curr13 unit resources mostly aligned to one of two reading purposes in the PIRLS framework, acquiring and using information, but was weakly aligned with the other one, literary experience. The implication of research findings was to support Kemendikbud in predicting students’ performance in future PIRLS participation by examining the inconsistencies between Curr13 and PIRLS. Recommendations were provided for the elementary school teachers, students, parents, publishers, policymakers, local governments, and other elementary school stakeholders to be familiar with and understand PIRLS. The role of AKSI should also be maximized. In addition, the concept and practice of curriculum alignment should be introduced and enacted into the educational system in Indonesia.
