Bortoli, Janaina Pieruccini de 27 January 2010 (has links)
Submitted by Ana Guimarães Pereira (agpereir@ucs.br) on 2015-09-30T18:27:12Z No. of bitstreams: 1 Dissertacao Janaina Pieruccini.pdf: 2666169 bytes, checksum: e60a2e4e2c88193b4c7fe7f6b91aa396 (MD5) / Made available in DSpace on 2015-09-30T18:27:12Z (GMT). For eleven classes, students of a class belonging to the 5th year had contact with folk tales from other activities scheduled to work the specific of the gender. The results show that intentional mediation by teacher is essential for assisting the student in the meaning of literary work. It‗s important add that narrative competence is a process that depends largely on the experiences with reading, because the measure that subjects understand the language game, specific of the story, they qualify their the form of narrating. Fantaisies de l'écriture, du livre, de la bibliothèque et de la lecture / The Taste for writing and reading in the french fairy tales of the 17th and 18th centuries. The dream world of writing, book, reading and library

Gaubert Benoit, Céline 29 September 2017 (has links)
The study of the fairy tale over the years 1690-1789, when the genre was in fashion in France, shows that, from its inception, the subject matter grew up with elements of realistic literary practice which were largely reshaped by imagination. The first storytellers (1690-1704) set up the literary genre according to a complex poetics allying the orality of naive times with literacy, which is the mark of a social and cultural practice of the story. The contributions of the forthcoming storytellers are imitations, parodies or are tinged with Orientalism. All the writers are affected, but to varying degrees: Perrault, Choisy and Fénelon are less inventive in this respect than Madame d’Aulnoy, Pétis de la Croix or the Chevalier de Mailly. The wonderland reveals its mysteries and the secret of its metatextual layout through more or less fleeting scenes of book reading or writing conjuring up a magical library.

The children´s literary prose: object of pleasure or pedagogical utilitarism?

The study, centered in the dialogic discourse (bakthinian and peircean) and the theory of intertextuality, it aims to reflect on the dual function of children s literature in the classroom: to instruct and amuse, to delight and teach, investigating the relationship between the quality of children s text and the methodology that is dispensed by the textbooks, its potential to arouse the reader reactions of sensible knowledge of the world or simply to serve as an educational tool-utility in carrying out diverse activities of the superficial nature on the read text (fill in forms, reading limited to scripts built of peripheral issues about the content of the text, copies, grammatical notes unrelated of the poetic message constructed by literary language in texts). We opted for Qualitative Research, defining it as a method of data collection for the case study, the Document Analysis. The objects of analysis are selected by the researcher Textbooks, among the examples listed by the guide of the National Textbook Program (NPDB) 2010. We found, with this investigation, that the literary text is treated, in the researched textbooks, as utilitarian object, as a monossemic discourse, unlinked from the real, human and social world.

Obraz ženy ve vybraných dílech K. Hotakainena, H. Raittily a J. Seppäläho v perspektivě literárního feminismu / Portrayal of woman in selected works of K. Hotakainen, H. Raittila and J. Seppälä from the perspective of literary feminism

Turčanová, Eliška January 2020 (has links)
The topic of this master's thesis is the representation of women in the selected works of Finnish male authors from the perspective of the feminist literary criticism. The thesis examines the selected prose works of Kari Hotakainen (novel Na domácí frontě, orig. title 2002), Hannu Raittila (novel Canal Grande, orig. title 2001) and Juha Seppälä (novel Švihadlo, orig. title 1990), as these three writers form an element opposite to a strong generation of Finnish female writers of the 1980s. I will analyse how these selected authors portray women in their works and how the position of female characters in comparison to male ones can be characterized. The aim is to describe the problematics regarding the portrayal of women in modern Finnish literature from the male perspective. The basis originating from the first, theoretical part, which focuses particularly on feminism and its manifestation in literary criticism, will serve as a stepping-stone for the following feminist research in the practical part of the thesis.

Literárně didaktický potenciál Čapkových Apokryfů / Literary-didactic potential of Capek's Apocryphs

Michálková, Lucie January 2014 (has links)
The main aim of this thesis is to show the didactic potential of the Apocryphal Tales by Karel Capek as well as to suggest the possible ways to include it in the high school literature education. The theoretical part of this thesis mainly deals with the author - Karel Capek and the concept of the Apocryph. These theoretical chapters study the Apocryphal Tales in detail, especially, focusing on the origin of the book and the existing editions, content and formal analysis, author's work with the intertexture and artistic progress used by Karel Capek. The special part is dedicated to the possible reasons of underestimation of the Apocyrph within author's other works. The practical part targets the didactical potential of the Apocryph. There are described the possibilities of the work with all the texts and possible ways how to work with the idea of Apocryph. The crucial part shows the detailed analysis of the didactical potential of seven selected texts integrated with extended commentary to the structure of this chapter. Another very important part pursues the verification of didactical potential of one of the Apocryph in the framework of secondary school education. This part contains the commented version of the preparation for the high school lecture and its concluding reflection that comments on the...

Teorie petrifikovaných světů na příkladu antiutopické a dystopické literatury / The Theory of Petrified Worlds on the Example of Anti-utopian and Dystopian Literature

Pavlova, Olga January 2019 (has links)
In my dissertation Theory of Petrified Worlds on the Example of Anti-Utopian and Dystopian Literature, I deal with anti-utopian and dystopian literature, which has been largely neglected by Czech scholarship. After the introduction to the issue I deal with the detailed analysis of the novel We by Yevgeny Zamyatin, after which I devote my attention to the theoretical definition of terms, including the historical mapping of previous research. I focus on the historical context of the emergence of the genres, including a deeper analysis of its beginnings, i.e. the development of utopian literature from Plato to William Morris and Herbert George Wells, and in detail describe the emergence of anti-utopian literature primarily as an opposition to utopian tendencies and its evolution into dystopia. A major part of the work deals with a specific semiotic analysis of the characteristic and constitutive features of the genres of anti-utopian and dystopian literature of the 20th and 21st centuries. This includes, among other things, the closed and petrified world of the novels, which gave the name to the presented theory, the strict division of society, the existence of newspeak, the characteristics of the main and secondary characters, as well as the social and political context of the analysed works. In...

The role of literary texts in tourism destination management, place creation and marketing : a case study on Concarneau in Finistère, Brittany, and the Simenon Novel, The Yellow Dog

Mansfield, Charles January 2015 (has links)
This doctoral thesis approaches literary tourism initially from an historical perspective in order to define the phenomenon through a review of the existing academic literature in the field. The forms of literary tourism are analysed to provide a typology and from this the value of literary tourism is explained both from the visitor's point of view and the destination manager's. Current theories underpinning the existing literature on literary tourism, including Bourdieu's concept of cultural capital are reviewed. To extend the current state of research and to answer the research questions a case study of successful urban literary tourism is identified, in this case in Brittany, France. The uses of French literature in literary tourism are reviewed to provide a sound basis on which to examine French texts and tourist destinations. Novel methods of field research are developed to formalise and to make reproducible the methodology for this study and for future work drawing on, and seeking to combine both literary theory and ethnography. Following a pilot study on the French Riviera the full discovery instruments are designed and applied in fieldwork on the case destination, Concarneau, using the detective novel, The Yellow Dog, which is set in Concarneau. Analysis of the findings from this provide a new contribution to the field of literary theory, in the area of reader interpellation, and answer the research questions in the form of a new set of recommendations for DMOs and tourism stakeholders. From the empirical study that used Web 2.0 social media, only available since 2013, an analysis of which novels do stimulate literary tourism is presented for the first time. Out of the research process new methods have been evolved, and are presented in the conclusion, for the DMO to synthesise and leverage digital resources. This provides DMOs with interpretation processes for its managed heritage to use with its local stakeholders in hotels and in tourism businesses. Finally, an innovative conceptualisation of what constitutes tourism knowledge is proposed.
