Notre thèse propose de réexaminer la question du style dans les improvisations de John Coltrane. De nombreux travaux mettent en lumière des changements stylistiques abrupts et certaines étrangetés, mais l’œuvre coltranienne est globalement considérée comme le résultat d’un seul style en constante évolution. N’y aurait-il pas, au contraire, plusieurs styles dans l’œuvre de John Coltrane ? Si le style est ce qui permet de « marquer la différence », comment interpréter cette labilité stylistique ? Dans le premier chapitre, nous nous interrogeons sur le style et l’analyse stylistique dans le jazz. Dans le deuxième chapitre, nous dressons un panorama des travaux analysant le style de John Coltrane, et de ceux nous permettant, par une mise-en-série, de réaliser une analyse stylistique. Dans le troisième chapitre, nous nous attachons à explorer la période précoce méconnue de l’œuvre coltranienne et à prouver qu’on y trouve également des mouvements stylistiques importants. Dans le quatrième chapitre, nous effectuons une synthèse de nos travaux et de ceux existant. Nous démontrons l’existence de plusieurs styles et discutons des antagonismes et des étrangetés stylistiques relevés. Pour finir nous formulons l’hypothèse d’un lien entre les phénomènes stylistiques observés et le vécu « d’enfant de remplacement » de John Coltrane. Nous faisons appel à la psychologie d’orientation analytique pour discuter ce dernier point. / Our Ph.D. ambitions to re-examine the question of style in John Coltrane’s improvisations. Numerous works on the subject put forth abrupt stylistic changes as well as some oddities, but Coltrane’s works are globally considered as the result of a single style, that would have evolved through time. Why not consider a collection of different styles, that, as a whole, would build up his art? If his style is what asserts an artist’s singularity, how could this lability be taken into account? In the first chapter, we question the notion of style and the very notion of stylistic analysis. In the second chapter, we present an overview of the various works analysing the style of John Coltrane and of those which have enabled us to propose a stylistic analysis through comparisons. In the third chapter, we cast a light on the – often neglected – early years of Coltrane’s career and demonstrate that even at that time, important stylistic changes can be traced. In the fourth chapter, we propose a synthesis of our study and the other existing works. We demonstrate the existence of a set of styles and discuss the antagonisms and oddities which were previously underlined. To finish, we suggest the possibility of a link between the stylistic phenomena we studied and the status of Coltrane as a “replacement child”. We carry out this discussion in a psychoanalytic perspective.

It was considered the nature of the link that would structure between the mother and the replacement child, or rather, the son who was born to soften the pain for the loss of another son and the methodology used was the case study. John Bowlby´s Attachment Theory explains the process of making and breaking of affection bonds, as well as the characteristics of these links. The way each person constructs his/her internal working model, based on the kind of attachment that was developed in early childhood under the influence of the caregivers, determines the way each one will face the difficulties that life brings. The study led to the understanding that mothers with ambivalent and insecure attachments would be more likely to seek a new pregnancy to relieve the pain of loss. The link with the replacement child might be imbued image and influence of the dead child, causing, in some cases, damage to the child's identity / Este trabalho buscou o entendimento do luto materno e os aspectos que possibilitariam complicações nesse processo. A partir dele considerou-se a natureza do vínculo que poderia se formar entre a mãe e o filho substituto, ou melhor, o filho que nasceu para amenizar a dor pela perda do outro, tendo como metodologia o estudo de caso. O referencial teórico apoiou-se na Teoria do Apego de John Bowlby, que esclarece a formação e o rompimento dos vínculos afetivos, assim como as características destes vínculos. A maneira como cada pessoa constrói seu modelo operativo, baseado no tipo de apego que desenvolveu na primeira infância, sob a influência dos cuidadores, determinará o modo de enfrentamento das dificuldades que a vida trará. O estudo possibilitou a compreensão de que mães com apegos inseguros ambivalentes estariam mais propensas a buscar uma nova gravidez para aliviar a dor da perda. O vínculo com o filho substituto pode estar impregnado pela imagem e influência do filho morto, causando, em alguns casos, danos à constituição da identidade deste filho

The aim of this thesis is to map the work of a psychologist in facilities for children requiring immediate help (FCRIH). The partial aim of the thesis is to compare the work of a psychologist in FCRIH with the work of a psychologist in school facilities of institutional and protective care. In the theoretical part the thesis deals with the system of alternative care for children and describes the various forms of care. After that the theoretical part focuses on FCRIH itself, especially the legislative framework of these facilities. The following chapter is focused on children in FCRIH and thus defines the work of a psychologist in these facilities in terms of the content of his work. The last chapter of the theoretical part focuses on psychological care in FCRIH and school facilities of institutional and protective care in order to compare them. The practical part was processed qualitatively through online questionnaires for directors and psychologist of FCRIH and subsequently semi-structured interviews with FCRIH psychologists were conducted. The research has mapped areas of psychologist qualifications, psychological work in facilities with an emphasis on psychologist collaboration with other employees, changes following the introduction of Quality Standards, and compares the work of a...
