This project arises from the need to reactivate the gastronomic boom that has been lost, where one of the main factors is the lack of investment, reflecting the need for projects that promote gastronomy.
The selected district will be Ancon, since it combines three important factors that make it an attractive destination, not only for tourism, but also for gastronomy.
Factors such as:
1.The great cultural heritage it has
2.The diversity of natural resources it possesses due to its proximity to the sea
3.Ancon is a beach by excellence
All this translates into a gastronomic market with an architectural emphasis on flexibility, generating spaces capable of adapting over time.
This project has a triangular terrain with three fronts, which will share the block with a building to be maintained that is the Fire Department.
It will consist of three levels, with a permeable volumetry developed around a central courtyard.
The first level will consist of a small gourmet market. A second level with restaurants overlooking the FAP club and a third level totally open becoming a gastronomic terrace.
An important criterion in the design process will be the architectural history of the area, where Republican architecture prevails, from which specific elements will be taken that are typical of the time, such as the use of «Teatinas» / Trabajo de investigación

Republican period as part of the social, economic and political context of the
modernization process of the newly founded state, focusing on the case of the ismet
PaSa Girls& / #8217 / Institute in Ankara.
Firstly, the education of woman in general and the Girls& / #8217 / Institutes in
particular are scrutinized in order to analyze the changes in the social role of women
in the context of modernization in the Early Republic. Secondly, the relationship
between women and the built environment is examined with reference to the
changes women experienced in this context. The architectural context of the period is analyzed to examine the buildings of the Girls& / #8217 / Institutes as contemporary
examples of the creation of a modern built environment in Turkey. Lastly, the
building of the ismet PaSa Girls& / #8217 / Institute is examined in detail, by also making
comparisons with other contemporary school buildings in Ankara. The building,
which was constructed as a modernist school building by the foreign architect Ernst
Egli in the center of Ankara, is evaluated as the representation of modern women
and modern architecture for the new nation-state. So, the aim of this study is to
assess the ismet PaSa Girls& / #8217 / Institute in Ankara as the example of contemporary
educational institutions as well as of contemporary architecture in Turkey,
corresponding with the attempt of the new nation-state towards modernization.

The thesis aims to reveal the decisive influence of the tension that stems from the contemporary searches for cultural identity on the architectural production of the early Republican Turkey. It attempts to demonstrate the conceptual and practical strategies that were devised in contemporary architecture for the resolution of the cultural tension by examining the architectural attitudes and practices of Sedad Hakki Eldem and Bruno Taut in the late 1930s and the early 1940s.
In the first part, &lsquo / cultural identity&rsquo / is examined from within the general discussion of &lsquo / modernity&rsquo / , where the relevant phenomena, such as &lsquo / nationalism&rsquo / and the &lsquo / nation-state&rsquo / , are discussed.
In the second part, the contextual developments and the architectural production of the early Republican period are examined through the theoretical discussions held in the previous part.
In the third part, the architectural attitudes and practices of Sedad Hakki Eldem and Bruno Taut are examined and analyzed as to reveal the conceptual and practical strategies in the resolution of contemporary cultural tension.
In the conclusion, the significance of the architectural attitudes of Sedad Hakki Eldem and Bruno Taut is re-stated in terms of their contextually sensitive efforts for the disband of the cultural tension in the light of the recent cultural theory.

The social transformations beginning by the end of the nineteenth
century and the political and economic changes of the Early
Republican Era (1923-1938) and the Transition Era (1938-1950) had
important effects on Turkish architecture. The effects of the & / #8216 / new& / #8217 / and & / #8216 / ideal& / #8217 / life accelerated by the establishment of the new
democratic nation state brought rapid changes and transformations
to all aspects of life including housing. This study deals with the
housing discourse in Yedigü / n magazine which was published weekly
during the single party era of the Republic. It was published weekly
from 1933 to 1950 and was followed by a wide portion of the
society, as an important popular magazine of the era. Its effort to
present articles, pictures and news on housing and decoration for 17
years, with only short interruptions, makes it necessary to
investigate these popular architectural products. In this study, it is
claimed that the visual and the written material of Yedigü / n
magazine, related to house, is part of the theme of what is called
& / #8216 / ideal home& / #8217 / . The investigation and analysis of the & / #8216 / ideal home& / #8217 / 2
discourse in Yedigü / n magazine as a whole is useful in improving
one& / #8217 / s understanding of the modernization practices of the newly
established Republic of Turkey. Two methods are used in order to
understand the visual and written materials in the magazine: the
first one is the Visual Analysis Method described in the book
& / #8216 / Reading Images: The Grammar of Visual Analysis& / #8217 / by Gunther Kress
and Theo van Leuween. The aim by using this method is to decipher
the relationship of the representative medium with the reader, treat
the material as a whole. The second method is the analysis of the
whole material in the context in relation with the architectural,
political, social and economical events of the period, to investigate
the construction processes of the discourse. Therefore, this study
aims at understanding the action-reaction potential of the tools of
the & / #8216 / ideal home& / #8217 / discourse of the Yedigü / n magazine, by deciphering
the visual and written material. Some results of the thesis show us
that / both Arkitekt and Yedigü / n magazines follow the agenda of the
foreign publications in a similar way / the foundation for a sort of
& / #8216 / collective union& / #8217 / namely & / #8216 / housing cooperatives& / #8217 / was set, by keeping
individual home acquisition constantly on the agenda / problems of
the new and modern life were tried to be addressed by Yedigü / n
as well as in the current architectural publications / these home
presentations may be judged as & / #8216 / a catalogue of idealized ideas& / #8217 / or
& / #8216 / two dimensional advice manual& / #8217 / , for early Republican Era home
icons.
