Logique de l'implicite. / Logic of the Implicit

Chalabi, Fares 15 June 2017 (has links)
Logic of the implicit is a research that compares different metaphysical systems and aims at extracting the form of philosophical argumentation proper to each of these systems. The study is carried on Parmenides, Plato, Aristotle, Descartes, Spinoza, Leibniz, Hume, Kant, Hegel, and Nietzsche – Deleuze. The approach consists in following as close as possible the fundamental texts of the above cited authors, an approach aimed at summarizing their argumentations and showing points of encounter or divergence in their way of producing their ontological positions. What is at stake then is to read these texts from the point of view of the construction of their arguments, and then to extract the constructive tools that characterize the philosophical way of doing things. The content is only considered from the point of view of its relation to these argumentative forms. Logic of the implicit, through these different case studies, proposes itself as a project of abstract philosophy, because it aims at extracting the elements and relations that are proper to the ontological argumentation. The attention is focused on showing the existence of general styles – such as the approach by choc or by distinction –, on certain elements recurrent in all the systems – such as the smallest difference, the double point, the extensive or comprehensive qualifications –, and at last on the relations – explication, implication, and complication. It is argued that the implicit occupies a central place in the metaphysical argumentation to the extent that it is from that place that any explanation is possible and thus any knowledge.

Medietidningarnas AI-porträtt : En kvantitativ innehållsanalys av hur AI skildras i tidningarna Resumé och Dagens Media / The media newspapers AI portrait : A quantitative content analysis of how AI is framed in Resumé and Dagens media

Granrot, Emil, Victor, Alida January 2024 (has links)
The purpose of this study is to examine how AI is framed in Swedish news media oriented toward media and communication. This is achieved by studying the magazines Resumé and Dagens Media´s articles about AI. This study examines which frames can be found in the articles and if the magazines manage to fulfill recommended guidelines created by UNESCO on how journalists should report on AI. The frames that are examined are social progress, Pandora´s box, economic development/competitiveness, outcome frame and temporal frame. It is also examined how often AI replaces a task.  The UNESCO guidelines that are examined are the limitations of AI, the human labor behind AI, country, other voices, suggestive images and environmental aspects. The theoretical frameworks the study is built upon are framing theory and technological determinism. The study´s results show that Resumé and Dagens Media tend to portray AI as something desirable by describing the consequences of using AI as something the reader will benefit from. AI is also portrayed as a technology that will, completely or partially, replace tasks within the media industry. The variables that derive from the UNESCO guidelines generally occur less. The result shows that the magazines portray AI as a technology that can evolve by itself, cannot be controlled, have few limitations, does not get much critique, does not affect the environment, and can be equated with a human being. Therefore, the theory technological determinism is applied by the magazines, especially the types that are called justificatory and normative.

Concept of Interactive Video in Job Application : A qualitative research that tests the concept of interactive video and job seekers’ ability creating interactive video resumes.

Karlsson, Viktor January 2019 (has links)
Interactive video seems to currently be an unpopular field of research. Video resumes however is an increasing trend when applying for jobs and sending out resumes. During this thesis, employers finds interactive video as a new, fun and exciting way of interacting with a resume that simplifies the recruitment process. Also, job seekers find creating interactive video as resumes as an extra nudge in to a company and a better way of marketing themselves for employers. However, conflict occurs between employers and job seekers regarding an interactive video resume. As it simplifies the recruitment process, job seekers have to put down more work when creating an interactive video resume while applying for a job. It is shown in this thesis that there are factors that should be investigated, for instance a platform aimed at interactive video resumes seems not have been developed yet as well as what interactive features an interactive video resume should contain. Job seekers find it difficult if creating such resumes took too long, being unaware of how to display interactive visual elements and which aspects to talk about while recording themselves. This thesis explores the possibility of employers and former recruitment personnel using an interactive video resume as well as job seekers’ ability of creating an interactive video. The main aims of this thesis are to find guidelines of what an interactive video resume mainly should contain and what job seekers thinks of creating and using an interactive video when applying for jobs.
