The purpose of this community needs assessment was to explore the unmet health needs in some of the communities of Riverside County, to discover which populations are most adversely affected by these unmet needs, and to determine what barriers hinder individuals from getting their needs met. United Way of the Inland Valleys, in cooperation with Kaiser Permanente of Riverside conducted this study as part of their community based needs assessment.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the implementation of the "Key Components" as identified by the Department of Justice (1998) into the Riverside County Dependency Recovery Drug Court Program.

Three psychosocial dynamics were assessed for their effect on role satisfaction among grandchildren: (1) the impact of expanding a household on a limited fixed income, (2) health issues of the grandparent as they apply to stamina, and (3) the interaction with their existing social structure to include grandchildren (adjustments, prioritizing, and social isolation). Sampling included a population of 33 custodial grandparents (age=55 and older; male and female; various ethnicities) and selected from a Grandparents Raising Grandchildren support group in Idyllwild, California. The instrument of this quantitative and qualitative study was an adaptation from the County of Riverside, Department of Mental Health, Children's Department Personal Satisfaction Survey. Survey answers were based on a Likert scale model. Responses from the surveys indicated that the custodial grandparents are satisfied with their roles. However, there are sufficient data to suggest there is a need to increase quality of life and custodial role satisfaction.

This exploratory study sought to identify factors which motivate individual participation in volunteer services for the Long-Term Ombudsman Program of the Volunteer Center of Riverside County.

This project includes a promotional campaign for the Inland Empire / Riverside County Philharmonic as well as the preliminary market analysis for the campaign. The market targeted was well-educated twenty to forty year olds in Riverside, Temecula and Corona.

Poorly preserved fossil wood collected throughout the terrane had been the basis of a Cretaceous age assignment. New age constraints come from paleomagnetic data which fail the fold test at both regional and local levels. These data indicate that the paleomagnetism was produced by a post-folding metamorphic event. The resulting paleomagnetic pole at 58.9°N, 114.6°E falls on the North American apparent polar wander path very near a pole from the Callovian Summerville Formation. These data imply that Callovian is a minimum age for the metamorphism and that the proto1ith is older.
