The principal objective is shown the transformation of these reasons on essentially lyrical elements, since this long poem is seen by some segments of literary criticism as an epic and separated from the intimate style caecilian. Based on Iliad, the first chapter discusses the limits of literary genres, addressing three factors: past history, the configuration of the heroic characters (especially Tiradentes) and the heterogeneity-plurality of voices. The theoretical framework has the postulates of Hegel and Staiger, Benjamin, Lukács and Bakhtin. The second chapter aims to show the cohesion between the Romanceiro da Inconfidência and the lyrical poetry caecilian generally. For it focuses on three resources: the intimacy, time and poetic images, through of theories of Collot, Saint Augustine, Paul Ricoeur, Jorge Luis Borges, Alfredo Bosi and Bachelard. / Este estudo se propõe a analisar os componentes épicos existentes no Romanceiro da Inconfidência, tomados pela poeta Cecília Meireles como motivos para reviver o episódio da Inconfidência Mineira, acontecido no século XVIII. O objetivo principal é demonstrar a transformação desses motivos em fundamentos essencialmente líricos, já que essa obra é vista por alguns segmentos da crítica literária como uma obra épica e apartada do estilo intimista ceciliano. Tendo como referência a Ilíada, de Homero, o primeiro capítulo discute sobre os limites dos gêneros literários, abordando três fatores: o passado histórico, a configuração heroica dos personagens (principalmente Tiradentes) e a pluralidade-heterogeneidade de vozes. O suporte teórico conta com os postulados de Hegel e Staiger, Benjamin, Lukács e Bakhtin. O segundo capítulo tem o intuito de mostrar a coesão lírica entre o Romanceiro da Inconfidência e a poesia ceciliana de modo geral. Para isso, enfoca três recursos: o intimismo, o tempo e as imagens poéticas, à luz das teorias de Collot, Santo Agostinho, Paul Ricoeur, Jorge Luiz Borges, Alfredo Bosi e Bachelard.
