The Taiwan semiconductor industry west bound research ¡X take seals the industry as the example

Zhu, Shi-Zhong 27 July 2006 (has links)
From year 1974 that Taiwan established the ERSO and introduce the high technology industry developing in Taiwan, it got a good result up to now, one of these high technology industry is the semiconductor industry included the Foundry and package assembly industry, these industries was leading in word, also become a model for the developing and new industry developing country. China after their revolution for opening progress that they also want to develop their high technology industry, so also included the semiconductor package assembly, and they try to copy the Taiwan success experience to China. In the past few year, because the trend of world globalization, Taiwan semiconductor package assembly industry also have some impact by this world trend, so the Taiwan semiconductor assembly industry have the idea go to west developing in China, but Taiwan government have different opinion, so from the ¡uNo haste , be patient¡v¡B¡uProactive liberalization with effective management¡v change to ¡uActive management , effective opening¡vmore tighten China investment policy, until to the year 2006/4/27 that Taiwan government finally agreed the semiconductor package assembly industry can be invests in China, this is why cause that want to find out the comparison between Taiwan semiconductor package assembly industry and China semiconductor assembly industry development and competitive before opening and after opening. This time using the Secondary Analysis Approach , that to collecting the data of the China & Taiwan, than using the SWOT Analysis Approach to compare the both sides semiconductor assembly industry internal & outside factor and also uses the Dr. Michael E. Porter diamond model 4 kinds factors (production, requirement, related industry and supporting industry) to make comparison. The analysis result is that Taiwan semiconductor assembly industries have well competition than China. After Taiwan semiconductor assembly industry go to China investing the weak point will become to a supporting. The conclusion is that Taiwan semiconductor assembly industry must go west to invest in China for low level product and high level product must keep in Taiwan. This kind combination is best and can create the win win policy between government and industries. This year 2005 that Taiwan semiconductor assembly industry total production amount is NT$214,000 million still world number one, but China in Year 2005 is¢D34,491 million the gap become small. We expect in the near future that China semiconductor assembly industry will instead Taiwan become to world number one.

Diversification of Hospital-A case study of Hospital J

Liou, Wen-Chin 23 August 2005 (has links)
The troublesome Taiwan medical care system is at the brim of bankruptcy. The system was forced to control the growth of its pay to hospital, thus jeopardize the industry. Hospitals have to formulate strategies to respond to the environment changes, and to reshape themselves to be a ¡§future hospital¡¨. This dissertation is about the way for hospital management through diversification. Hospitals which I interviewed have positive attitudes to diversification, they think that it provide synergic effect for their business. Among the cases that I studied, diversification are made based on the hospital¡¦s core competences and always related to health care or medicine. Companies are always changing their business model to survive, learning more to reinforce their core competence, extending their competitive advantages to emerging industries, and so must the hospitals do. A SWOT analysis based on hospital J has been made, followed by feasibility study on the following questions: What are our advantages compared to competitors? What resources do we need for diversification? What resources can hospital J provide? Dose diversification generate synergic effects or decrease the hospital¡¦s value? What can we learn through diversification? The candidate businesses that I proposed for diversification are highly related to hospital J¡¦s core business and can be conducted by its existing human resources.A future core business is likely to be created through the extension of existing competitive advantages. Diversification by extension of related core business can be done through joint-venture, strategic alliance or synergistically merging. Diversification to less core business related area are arranged by co-operation with non-hospital company or recruiting new employee who have experience in the new field. There must be evaluation prior to diversification, hospitals diversify their businesses with different competitive advantages have different scenario. I hope that this dissertation can be a valuable reference to hospitals those have already made their diversification and those are under their way for diversifying their businesses.

Marketing analysis for future strategic plan

Mousarezaei, Mahsa January 2016 (has links)
Today’s climate issues such as increasing temperatures and extreme change in weather pattern are one of the greatest threats. Therefore there is a united agreement that something needs to be done for reducing the causes of global warming and climate change. Businesses have accepted the fact that they need to take some actions so that they can help, although still some think that environmental solutions are time consuming and costly. (Shah, 2015) Realizing the climate issues and the fact that greenhouse gases remain in the atmosphere for a long time, Sweden started an environmental protection agency in 1967. Since then Sweden has a strong reputation as one of leaders and environmental pioneer worldwide. The government provides various opportunities for environmentally friendly technologies developments within the country and abroad. (Sweden.se, 2016) The case company is one of high technology Swedish companies that are trying to provide air treatment solutions for industries. They mostly work within food frying factories, waste handling and biogas industries. Their solution is highly beneficial technologically as it reduce industrial pollution as well as transferring the heat and purified water from the recovery process back to the system. Consequently they help companies to save costs through low energy consumption and to be environmentally friendly. However, due to economical globalization and other competitors, especially in Sweden, their high technology is not a guarantee for financial and competitive advantages. Marketing strategy and strategic marketing plan is the necessity for their success in the market within Sweden and internationally. This paper is the fundamental base in strategic planning of marketing by analyzing the current situation of company in the market through SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat) analysis. Through SWOT analysis I have highlighted the strength points which the case company needs to focus on when introducing their product to customers and compete with the competitors. On the other hand the weaknesses were also analyzed and I have came up with a few suggestions that might help in this case in order to take advantage from their opportunities to improve weaknesses. The result of SWOT analysis clear that their products have a great opportunity in the market due to the high technology they have and they need to have better marketing strategy to introduce their technology and capability to the market.

Otgonsuren, Narantsogt 16 June 2008 (has links)
Over the past 50 years, the success of SME development in Taiwan has played an important role in the economic growth, and even today, many developing countries are interested in learning from Taiwan¡¦s experience. In fact, SME development in Taiwan has made remarkable contributions to the expanding of foreign trade, the strengthening of market competitiveness, the boosting of national income, the creation of jobs opportunities, the balancing of regional development, and the influence on social stability. In this study, we first studied the key success factors in Taiwan¡¦s SME development through the review of related literature. Then, we attempted to find that the majority of scholars and experts had a common view of Taiwan¡¦s SME key success factors, which are concluded as social culture and psychology factors, historical and economic factors, and government policy factor. Secondly, we intended to make questionnaires from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Mongolian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and SME owners. The main purpose is to research for the opinions of three different parties on SME development in Mongolia, such as government roles, present situation, future development strategies, and opportunities to learn from Taiwan¡¦s experience and successful development factors. Here were 120 responses received at the end of this survey. The data were analyzed by SPSS software using descriptive statistics, one way ANOVA, Pearson¡¦s correlation, and factor analysis. The results showed that there were significant differences between the three organizations. In addition, this research tried to make an effort to suggest future SME development strategies in Mongolia on the basis of external and internal environment analyses using a SWOT model. Finally, on the basis of above results, we proposed several policy recommendations for relevant organizations that get lessons from Taiwan¡¦s experience and revealed some key success factors in SME development into the ground of Mongolia.

Pan, Khang Aun January 2001 (has links)
This thesis attempts to explore and analyses environmental training (ET) in Malaysia, Singapore and the United Kingdom. It discusses the relationships of ET with environmental education, human resource development, learning, training and strategic planning. The main goal of the research was to assess which were the most commonly used ET protocols or 'best practices' that can be used and adapted in a variety of organisations. The research was based on a detailed literature survey and drew on the results from a postal questionnaire survey of 94 different organisations of varying size, age and having a variety of quality accreditations. The respondents were mostly from the 36-45 age group, males, first degree holders, specialised in business administration, middle managers and had spent 1-5 years in their organisation. A total of 28 variables were analysed using Chi-Square and Spearman Correlation and are discussed in the text. The 'best practices' of ET in organisations surveyed were identified as: those possessing environmental policies and training policies; conducting training needs assessments using a combination of methods such as discrepancy, democratic, diagnostic and analytic; including ET in their human resource development plan; delivering ET by external consultants and involving trainees in their environmental management system. In addition, these organisations delivered at least 1-5 ET courses per year, used in house courses and lectures, conducted ET evaluations and are committed to ET in the near future. From the 'best practices' identified by the research and face to face interviews with the staff of the Department of Wildlife and National Parks, Peninsular Malaysia, a SWOT analysis, Objective Oriented Project Planning and a Logical Framework (LOGFRAME) were used to formulate a strategic human resource development plan for the Department.
