Study of the Relationship Among Internet pornography, Sexual Attitude and Behavior for the Senior High School Students

Chen, Chih-Hao 30 August 2007 (has links)
The purposes of this study are illustrated as follows: to investigate the current situation of demography, internet pornography experience, sexual attitude and behavior among senior high school students, to exam the difference and correlation of those students¡¦demography which is represented on internet pornography experience and sexual attitude, and to try to find out the variables of pornography experience and population, which could be used to predict senior high school students¡¦ sexual attitude in such environment which internet pornography overloads. The data gathered from questionnaires are analyzed by statistical methods such as frequency distributions, mean deviation, reliability analysis, factor analysis, chi-square test, t-test of dependent sample, ANOVA of dependent sample, Pearson¡¦s correlation, and the multiple regression. Results and discussion are summarized as follows: 1. There are 63.7% senior high school students have touch the internet for 5 years, and the degree increase by the years that they touched. They usually talk and make friend on the internet(78.7%) . 2. There are 71.1% senior high school students have touch the internet pornography, and that is they main way to connect the pornography. They touched it for vagary, and they touched it for one hour a day, in nine in the night to twelve in the noon. They touched it at their home. 3. The senior high school students¡¦ sexual attitude is between agree and disagree. 4. There are 10.5% students have sexual behavior, which gather 15 to 17 years old. The contraception they usually took is condom. 5. Sex, school, talking about sexual issues with friend have significant different to internet pornography experience. 6. Sex, grade, school, the school location have significant different to sexual attitude. 7.Internet pornography has different to sexual attitude. Without connecting internet pornography, connecting less time, and taking disagree option, the sexual attitude are more guard. 8.Internet pornography experience and sexual attitude have lower negative correlation. 9.Internet pornography has different to sexual behavior. The more connecting, the more frequency, and the more time cost the students have, their sexual behavior are deeper. 10.Internet pornography experience and sexual behavior have lower correlation. 11.Population and internet pornography information to sexual attitude can validly predict 12% senior high school students¡¦ sexual attitude. Population and internet pornography information to sexual behavior can validly predict 12.6% senior high school students¡¦ sexual behavior.

Chou, Chi-Ting 01 July 2011 (has links)
This study explores whether the third-person effect caused by the Pap smear advertisements appear & if they turn viewers into actions. The degree that the advertisements effect on third-person effect is focused, as a reference for the government when they¡¦d like to make more effective advertisements, instead of putting all the slogans & appeals together. The result shows: Advertising appeal¡]positive / negative¡^ & direct / indirect wording influences third/first-person effect ,while sexual attitude of audience doesn¡¦t. Because of the privacy of pap smear test, the research didn¡¦t find the relation between third/first person perception & behavior intention.

The influence of sexuality education on the sexual knowledge and attitudes of adolescents in Busan, Korea / Hyesook Lee Kang

Kang, Hye Sook January 2005 (has links)
Adolescence is a period of physical, emotional, and social development that represents the transition from childhood toward adulthood. Adolescents therefore experience intense and vigorous physical changes and an increased awareness of their own sexuality. They are also in a physical and mental period of preparation to become a social being, and have a natural curiosity about sexual matters. To satisfy their sexual curiosity, they obtain sexual information mostly from their friends and from lascivious media, especially websites on the internet. Consequently, they obtain incorrect knowledge and distorted sexual views. Moreover, adolescents in Korea, especially in the middle period of adolescence, are much more tolerant and open about many aspects of sexual attitudes and behaviour. They now engage in sexual relations at an earlier age as a result of the weakening of sexual morals and materialism in Korean society. They are exposed to sexual risks such as unwanted pregnancy, abortion, STDs, and HIV/Aids. It is therefore important for adolescents to be educated on sexual matters, and to protect themselves against sexual risks. They should have accurate sexual knowledge to make critical sexual decisions, and to form positive sexual attitudes to enhance sexual behaviour. The purpose of this study was to investigate the sexual knowledge and attitudes towards sexuality of adolescents in Korea, so as to compile a comprehensive programme in sexuality education and to evaluate the influence of the comprehensive sexuality education programme on the knowledge and attitudes of adolescents in Korea. The Randomized Solomon four-group design was used as the method of this study. The selected sample consisted of two groups for the experimental group and two groups for the control group, from two randomly selected co-educated middle schools in Youngdo-gu in Busan, Korea. The experimental group was exposed to the sexuality education programme, while the control group received reading matter similar in content to the sexuality education programme, to reduce the Hawthorne effect. A questionnaire was compiled by the researcher to evaluate adolescents' knowledge of and attitudes towards sexuality. A comprehensive sexuality education programme was compiled based on the literature. The sexuality education programme consisted of fifteen sessions of 45 minutes each. A session was presented each week for fifteen consecutive weeks. A questionnaire was used to collect data on two occasions: one week before the programme was presented and again two weeks after the end of the programme. The data was analysed by means of a frequency analysis, t-tests and correlations by using the SPSS/PC Window 10.0 programme. The results of the research indicated that the effect of the sexuality education programme obviously increased the sexual knowledge adolescents and brought about a positive change in their sexual attitudes. It is therefore recommended that the sexuality education programme for adolescents with its comprehensive content should be presented in an interactive style to learners by a skilful sexuality education educator. The recommendations of this study focus on adolescents as the object of education, the sexuality education programme, the educator and general recommendations. / Thesis (Ph.D. (Nursing))--North-West University, Potchefstroom Campus, 2006.

A Survey Study On Turkish Pre-service Counselors: Their Sources Of Sexuality Information, Perceived Competence, Needs To Obtain Information, And Attitudes Toward Sexuality

Topkaya, Nursel 01 December 2006 (has links) (PDF)
The purpose of the present study was fourfold: First, to understand pre-service counselors&rsquo / primary sources of sexuality information / second, to examine pre-service counselors&rsquo / perceived competence level of providing sexuality related information to their clients / third, to identify pre-service counselors&rsquo / need to obtain more information on sexuality related topics, and finally, to assess pre-service counselors&rsquo / attitudes toward sexuality. Demographic Data Form, Sexuality Information Form, and Turkish version of the Sexual Knowledge and Attitude Test for Adolescents (SKAT-A) - Attitude Section were used as the data collection instuments. The data were gathered from 552 undergraduate students, recruited from three State universities that offer Psychological Counseling and Guidance undergraduate program in Ankara, Turkey. The results of the study revealed that mothers and peers were cited as the primary sources by pre-service counselors. School/teacher, educational materials, and TV/movie were also mentioned as the important sources of information in relatively a few sexuality related topics. Moreover, female and male pre-service school counselors&rsquo / perceived competence level of providing information to their clients was higher among students who are about to finish their education compared to those who are at first or second year of his/her education in many sexuality topics. The findings also yielded that the majority of the females primarily need more information regarding sexual activities, whereas the majority of the males mainly need more information regarding society, culture, and sexuality. The results of MANOVA demonstrated that freshman and sophomore students reported more conservative masturbation, conventional morality, and homosexuality attitudes in comparison with either of the junior and senior students. Furthermore, female pre-service counselors held more liberal homosexuality attitudes than male pre-service counselors. The results indicated no significant differences with respect to gender and mother education as well as gender and father education of pre-service counselors and their masturbation, conventional morality, pornography, and homosexuality attitudes. Additionally, results showed that pre-service counselors who received previous sexuality education endorsed more liberal masturbation, conventional morality, and homosexuality attitudes as compared with pre-service counselors who did not receive any education.

The Effects of a College Human Sexuality Course on Students' Sexual Knowledge, Attitude, and Behavior.

Smith, Jolene A. 12 1900 (has links)
Using an experimental-comparison group design, data were collected at the beginning and end of a semester to assess the effect of a human sexuality course on students' sexual knowledge, sexual attitude, and sexual behaviors. Data analysis by t-tests showed statistical differences between the experimental and comparison group only on sexual knowledge scores ( p < .001), with the experimental group scoring higher. T-tests showed statistical difference between males and females in sexual attitude (p< .001) and sexual behavior (p< .001) with women scoring higher than men in the experimental group, and also when experimental and control groups were combined. Although not statistically significant, women scored higher in sexual knowledge than males.

Escalonamento psicofísico da atitude sexual como ferramenta de investigação de violência sexual / Psychophysical scaling of sexual attitude as an investigative tool of sexual violence

Nunomura, Tiliê Naomi 28 September 2018 (has links)
Its study, yet, is marked by conceptual, legal, epidemiological, theoretical and methodological difficulties. Among the various ways of understanding and examining sexual violence, attitudes are commonly investigated, mainly by employing Likert scales. However, psychophysical scaling by Thurstones methods possess characteristics typical of interval scales, which gives it advantages over ordinal scales. The major goal of the present research was to build a scale of psychological distances of sexual descriptors for each experimental group through the Case V of Thurstones Law of Comparative Judgment. One hundred and thirty two participants, divided in three groups control, survivors (female victims of sexual violence) and inmates (male sex offenders) evaluated eight sexual words (tickle, smell, touch, kiss, nude, grab, rub, and moan) by the forced choice method of pairwise judgment. To each word pair was presented randomly, subjects were asked to choose the one with the higher sexual content. Results indicated that the descriptor touch, smell, and tickle were constantly judge as having the lowest sexual content amongst the three groups. Literature abou linguistic aspects of the used stimuli was nou sufficient to explain the choice of one word over another, reinforcing the idea that the judgments were differential according to the variables and the group to which the participant belonged. Thus, men judged the descriptors as having similar values, making the scales amplitude smaller, which indicates lower discrimination and the need for less sexual content for the words to be perceived sexually. Inmates showed the same pattern of results, but in a accentuated manner. Women, on the other hand, had good discrimation of the sexual descriptors and exhibited higher scale amplitude. For the survivors, the pattern of results was the same as for the women, with few variations. The found differences between groups may be due to attitudes toward sexuality and sexual violence, and to the way women and men process sexual information, being permeated by gender social issues
