Informationsbehovet hos kvinnor med gynekologisk cancer

Bondesson, Johanna, Persson, Johanna January 2009 (has links)
The aim of the study is to compile literature regarding information needs among women with gynaecological cancer and their partner. The review is based on SBU´s (1993) sevens steps for a systematic procedure. The databases used for literature searches were CINAHL, PubMed and The Cochrane Library. Ten scientific studies of both quantitative and qualitative designs were included in the review. The result of the systematic literature review indicated that women with gynaecological cancer were in need of information regarding treatment, prognosis of the disease, psychological and physiological effects of the treatment. The women also required more information regarding sexual function that may occur after treatment. The women wished for an opportunity to include their partner or a relative in discussion about their disease.
