Slovensko-srbský bilingvizmus vo Vojvodine (Slovačko-srpska dvojezičnost u Vojvodini) / members of ethnic minorities (as is the case ofSlovaks in Vojvodina). Whether a bilingualSlovak from Vojvodina will use one language(Slovak) or the other language (Serbian)depends on the communicative situation and theinterlocutor (if he/she is bilingual ormonolingual). Linguistic competence in bothlanguages is not the same with all Slovak-Serbian speakers and in their communicationthere is a lot of code-switching.This research in brief included thefollowing questions: 1) what forms of Slovak-Serbian bilingualism in Vojvodina are there; 2)where are these two languages uses in parallel;3) at what level is the competence of Slovak-Serbian bilingual speakers; 4) what are theattitudes of Slovak-Serbian bilingual speakersregarding their linguistic competence in one orthe other language. The general aim of theresearch was to present a detailed andcomprehensive picture of Slovak-Serbianbilingualism in Vojvodina.Tirova Zuzana 05 September 2016 (has links)

slovačko-srpskih govornika nije uvek ista i u
njihovoj komunikaciji često dolazi do mešanja
kodova.
slovačko-srpskih dvojezičnih govornika i
4) stav slovačko-srpskih dvojezičnih govornika
o svojoj jezičkoj kompetenciji na jednom ili
drugom jeziku. Opšti cilj istraživanja bio je
detaljnije i sveobuhvatnije sagledavanje
slovačko-srpskog bilingvizma
u Vojvodini
/
The topic of the research in this PhD
thesis is Slovak-Serbian bilingualism in
Vojvodina. Bilingualism is a frequent
occurrence in the world so Slovak-Serbian
bilingualism in the contemporary multilingual
Vojvodinian setting is quite natural. There are
several forms of bilingualism, one of which
includes natural bilingual speakers who are members of ethnic minorities (as is the case of

Slovaks in Vojvodina). Whether a bilingual
Slovak from Vojvodina will use one language
(Slovak) or the other language (Serbian)
depends on the communicative situation and the
interlocutor (if he/she is bilingual or
monolingual). Cultural Specifics of Management in Multinational Companies / Kulturní specifika managementu multinacionálních firemKřečková Kroupová, Zuzana January 2002 (has links)
Nowadays the world is becoming increasingly economically connected, and cultural diversity of employees is gaining importance as a crucial competitive advantage. Cross-cultural communication ability is becoming a key management skill in multinational firms and is equally important for other employees who are exposed to other cultures in the workplace. This work mainly focuses on cultural specifics of management in multinational firms. The goal of this thesis is to discover how different national cultures influence management of people, particularly work relationships, management tools and organization structures. The author discovers this through cultural dimensions that she updates for the Czech Republic and Slovakia for her work using methodology of Fons Trompenaars. The author tests three hypotheses: about the development of preferences of cultural dimensions in time, differences in preferences of cultural dimensions of Czechs and Slovaks and differences in preferences of cultural dimensions based on people's gender, age and the number of years spent abroad. The work also presents mapping of changes of attitudes in specific work and personal situations of Czechs and Slovaks over a period of time. The work additionally analyzes the influence of economic factors on work attitudes and preferences of cultural dimensions and identifies areas of potential conflicts between the cultures of Czechs and Slovaks in the workplace. It also compares results with other researches about cultural dimensions and cultural standards. The work concludes by presenting culturally specific recommendations for management of Czechs and Slovaks.

Češi a Slováci v zemi helvetského kříže: československé krajanské spolky ve Švýcarsku ve druhé polovině 20. století / Czechs and Slovaks in the country of helvetian cross: czechoslovak expatriate clubs in Switzerland in the second half of the 20th centuryDörner, Petr January 2015 (has links)
This thesis deals with the development and activities of compatriot organizations of Czechs and Slovaks in the 20th century that were associated in the Union of clubs of Czechs and Slovaks in Switzerland. The first clubs, which did not last long, were established in the 1860s. The origins of more stable organizations date back to the beginning of the twentieth century, when clubs such as Czechoslovak Beseda Slovan in Geneva and Czechoslovak Beseda Svatopluk Čech in Zurich were established. These organizations expanded after the big emigrant wave caused by the Warsaw Pact invasion of Czechoslovakia. This period between the years 1968 and 1990 is the main objective of the following research. The thesis is divided into four chapters. The first one introduces some basic notions needed for the thesis and puts the existence of compatriot clubs in Switzerland in a broader context. At the same time, it deals with the most important emigrant waves from Czechoslovakia with emphasis on those emigrants that left for Switzerland. The second chapter deals with the very development of compatriot movement in Switzerland before the critical year 1968. Furthermore, this chapter is divided into various sections on the basis of selecting important turning points in the development of compatriot organizations, such as...
