A viuvez é apontada como uma das principais causas dessa condição, portanto a idosa viúva é, e será parcela significativa da população envelhecida das próximas décadas. Conhecer como a mulher no processo de envelhecimento após tomar-se viúva desenvolveu sua sociabilidade foi o objetivo dessa pesquisa, realizada com 8 viúvas acima de sessenta anos que freqüentavam programas de Terceira Idade da cidade mineira de Passos. A viuvez, ao longo da história, tem sido um fator adicional de restrições à mulher, favorecendo práticas sociais excludentes, ampliando as desigualdades de gênero existente nas diferentes sociedades. Por meio das entrevistas semi-estruturadas e posterior análise de conteúdo, percebeu-se que as mulheres sujeitos desse estudo foram influenciadas pelas mudanças de comportamento e mentalidades do século XX, no entanto ainda vivenciam preconceitos sociais referentes a condição de viúva. Essas idosas na reorganização do seu cotidiano, após o período de "luto" que determinaram para si, sentem-se "livres" para praticar suas escolhas, intensificar a participação social, por meio de atividades religiosas e sociais diversificadas, assumindo ou ampliando papéis, independentemente da qualidade da relação conjugal, familiar e social anteriormente existente. Há valorização das relações familiares interpessoais, afetivas e expectativa de equidade nas relações gênero. / Abstract: The studies on aging made in the last decades have been revealing different aspects of that life cycle, among them, the prevalence of the women's survival and the condition of being alone. The widowhood is pointed as one of the main causes of that condition, therefore the aged widow is, and will be, the significant parcel of the aged population of next decades. To know as the woman in the aging process after turning widow developed her sociability was the objective of that research, accomplished with 8 widows above sixty years that frequented programs of Third Age of Passos' mining city. The widowhood along the history has been an additional factor of restrictions to the woman, favoring excluding social practices, enlarging the inequalities of gender existent in the different societies. Through the semi-structured interviews and subsequent content analysis, it was noticed that the women subject of that study were influenced by the changes of behavior and mentalities of the century XX, however they still live social prejudices regarding widow's condition. Those elderly ones in the reorganization of her everyday, after the "mourning" period that determined for itself, feel "free" to practice their choices, to intensify the social participation, through religious and social activities diversified, assuming or enlarging papers, independently of the quality of the relationship matrimonial, family and social previously existent. There are valorization of the interpersonal family, affective relationships and expectation of justness in the gender relationships. / Doutor

Poker / Resumo: A presente pesquisa tem como objetivo refletir sobre a participação social exercida nos Conselhos Comunitários de Segurança (CONSEGs), entidades que buscam atuar no campo da Segurança Pública. Os objetivos compreendem os limites e possibilidades na relação dos representantes da sociedade civil e poder do Estado, através da participação dos atores sociais frente às questões relativas à segurança pública. Por meio, da pesquisa participante e das análises documentais produzidas nos Consegs observou-se, as tensões e intervenções no controle da criminalidade e a participação política dos componentes da entidade ao representar a população. Assim como, a configuração sóciopolitica em que essa representação aparece e a sua estruturação, enquanto meio, voltada as prioridades relativas a segurança. Verificou-se como se estabelecem as relações constituídas nos Consegs, e as buscas por legitimidade na relação dos atores sociais com os órgãos de segurança e a busca de implementação de políticas públicas na cidade de Marília. / Abstract: The present research has as objective to reflect on the exerted social participation in the Communitarian Advice of Security (Consegs), entities that they search to act in the field of the Public Security. The objectives understand the limits and possibilities in the relation of the representatives of the civil society and to be able of the State, through the participation of the social actors front to the relative questions to the public security. By means of the participant research and of the produced documentary analyses in the Consegs it was observed, the tensions and interventions in the control of crime and the participation politics of the components of the entity when representing the population. As well as, the sóciopolitica configuration where this representation appears and its estruturação, while half, directed the relative priorities to the security. It was verified as if they establish the relations consisting in the Consegs, and the searches for legitimacy in the relation of the social actors with the agencies of security and the search of implementation of public politics in the city of Marília. / Mestre

Pretende-se, para tanto, indicar formas de participação e controle social na política de assistência social e identificar o conteúdo ideo-político objetivado pelo assistente social nos momentos de discussões e deliberações desse conselho. Um dos pontos relevantes desse estudo situa-se na abordagem da direção sócio-política da participação do assistente social na proposta de gestão democrática da política de assistência social, advinda da descentralização político-administrativa do Estado Brasileiro, nos anos 1990. É um estudo de abordagem qualitativa, que adotou como procedimento de coleta de dados a revisão de literatura, pesquisa documental e pesquisa de campo - observação direta das plenárias de 2008/2009 e entrevista semi-estruturada, com cinco assistentes sociais que se vincularam ao CMAS como conselheiro governamental, conselheiro não governamental, assessor técnico, secretário executivo e observador. Esse trabalho aponta que o potencial originário que justificou a luta pela criação das instituições democráticas, dentre elas o conselho, encontra vários limites no processo de busca da sua concretização. Tais limites são desde natureza conceitual da categoria participação da sociedade civil, à dimensão técnico-político de construir uma nova e progressista direção social às políticas públicas. Além disso, esses limites suscitam reflexões sobre a necessidade de se repensar as práticas representativas na sociedade, bem como a condição e direção das lutas sociais e institucionais pelo controle da construção da vida societária. (Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: This paper aims to analyze the inclusion of social workers in the Municipal Council of Social Welfare of Uberaba / MG (1996/2009). It is intended for both, state forms of participation and social control in social welfare policy and identify the contents ideo-political objectified by a social worker in times of discussions and deliberations of this Council. One of the relevant sections of this study lies in the approach towards socio-political participation of social workers in the proposed democratic management of social welfare policy, coming from the political-administrative decentralization of the Brazilian State in the 1990s. It is a qualitative study, which adopted a procedure to collect data and the literature review, desk research and field research - direct observation of the 2008/2009 plenary and semi-structured interviews with five social workers who have joined the CMAS as a government adviser, nongovernmental advisor, technical advisor, executive secretary and observer. This work shows that the potential origin that justified the struggle to create democratic institutions, among them the board, finds various limits in the search process of their implementation. Such limits are provided conceptual nature of the class participation of civil society, the technical-political dimension of building a new and progressive social direction to public policies. Moreover, these limits give rise to reflections on the need to rethink the representative for the company as well as the condition and direction of social and institutional struggles for control of the construction of societal life. In this context, the social worker, as a professional and intellectual integration has privileged, as the Social Service has historical link with public policies.
