The Diploma thesis deals with the design solution of multi-functional machining centre, especially with one of its parts – the design of the slide ram and vertical feed incl. the choice of convenient tool heads for the slide ram. The introducing part deals with the numerically controlled machines and centres generally, especially with the portal-type ones. It contains description of individual machine parts including examples of accessories from product plans of domestic and foreign producers. The second part of the Diploma thesis contains calculations and design solution of the slide ram and feed including the choice of the most suitable accessories applicable for this purpose. In the final phase the model of the slide ram has been introduced in the imersion virtual reality and integrated in the complete machine design. The Diploma thesis has been elaborated using the relevant technical literature.

This paper deals with design of tool deflection compensation system for milling spindle C1, provided by company TOSHULIN, a.s. A simplified simulation model of the spindle supplemented by compensatory elements was built by using programs ANSYS, MD ADAMS, Matlab/Simulink. As action elements there were use three piezoactuators each controled by PID controler. Efficiency of this compensation system was verified based on performed simulations.

This essay will treat the Gotlandic textile production during the Viking period (790 AD–1150 AD) by studying the three grave fields, Barshalder in Grötlingbo parish, Broe in Halla parish and Ire in Hellvi parish. The focus of the study are the textile related objects, spindle whorls, weaving tablets, needles and needle cases found at the grave fields. The study will mainly examine the spindle whorls since differences in the weight and diameter can tell us about what type of yarn or thread that was produced and in extent the textiles that were produced. The results will be catalogued, and a correspondence analysis will be done in hope it will show patterns in the material. The study will also look at if there are differences between the three grave fields and in extent on the island.

Although the design principles of the Switched Reluctance Machines (SRMs) are available in different fragments in numerous bibliography positions, there no exists the complex design procedure of whole drive system taking into account the SR Machine, control system and supply device as well. The hybrid design method for SRM drives with application of new analytical calculation methods, finite element method and simulation models is proposed in this thesis. The calculation/design system is characterised by important effectivity and reliability. The new possibilities in analytical determination of saturation effects and core losses under various modes of control, including sensorless method, are also taken into account. The correctness of the proposed design algorithms are verified by laboratory tests made on three motor prototypes manufactured in industry for concrete application. This dissertation provides the elements indispensable for more accurate and complex analysis and design of drives with switch reluctance motors. The elements of electrical motor and control system design as well as the considerations on the choice of supply device and controller subsystems are jointed in the thesis for final receiving of the design tool for considered industrial drive system.
