Lessa, Luís Gustavo Frediani [UNESP] 13 May 2011 (has links) (PDF)
Made available in DSpace on 2014-06-11T19:31:34Z (GMT). The main objective of this study is to assess the spatial distribution of sediment yield produced by the initial part of Rio Pardo basin, Botucatu - SP in the period 1994/1999 using the hydrologic model SWAT (Soil and Water Assessment Tool). Planimetric maps and satellite images were handled through the GIS program SPRING 5.1.6. Application of the SWAT hydrologic model requires data entry into the spatialized and tabulated forms, which were made with the aid of an interface between the model and Geographic Information System (GIS). The model was calibrated and the accuracy of the calibration was done by statistical analysis using the Nash Sutcliffe Efficiency Coefficient (COE) and the deviation of the simulated data in relation to the observed data (Dv). A scenario was simulated according to the determinations of the Brazilian Forest Code, which was compared with the use of the land featured in the basin. The results of the simulation model calibrated for the streamflow showed a COE = 0.70 and Dv = 8.32%. A COE ranging from 0.70 to 0.80 generally indicates a good adjustment and Dv values above 5%, indicate a greater dispersion of the simulation in relation to the observed data. The average annual production of sediment from land cover in the basin was diagnosed 33.866 t ha-1 and the average annual production for the proposed scenario was 2.273 t ha-1 for the period, showing that the implementation of Scenario Forest Code served as a measure mitigation to control the rate of sediment production, which decreased by 93.29% during the six years of study

Utvärdering av plattformar för tunga Java-klienter

Lindelöw, Björn January 2006 (has links)

Monarchy and Effective Governance: The Success of Middle Eastern Monarchies and the Arab Spring

Westberg, Michael 08 August 2017 (has links)
The purpose of this thesis is to examine the outcomes of the 2011 Arab Spring from the perspective of regime types within the Middle East and North Africa. The intense year of protest that spread throughout the Arab world had disparate effects between countries which this paper investigates. Utilizing an institutional approach, I separate the Arab world into monarchic and republican systems relying on data provided by the Arab Barometer II and III. Theoretically, I suggest, and find evidence to support, that monarchies were more resistant to the Arab protests because desires for change were not as strong within these countries because of the historical arrangements within these countries.

Liferay Portal z pohledu vývojáře / Liferay Portal from developer´s perspective

Herain, Vít January 2015 (has links)
The topic of this thesis is Liferay Portal, which is a technology based on Java programming language and portlet applications. The technology is not well known among developers despite of the fact that the usage of this technology is quite common in the commercial sphere. The main aim of the thesis is to create a suite of procedures and hints in order to facilitate portlet development for beginners, who are planning to use technologies Spring framework and AngularJS. The secondary objectives include defining the paradigm related to portlet development, analysing portal specifics and its benefits, describing the Liferay Portal from different viewpoints, to compare Liferay to competitive solutions and finally creation, de-velopment and documenting of the application composed of 2 portlets. The main functio-nality of these portlets is Personal Financial Management. Aims were achieved by obtaining information from the community of developers and from sources listed in the bibliography. Information obtained in the area of development was empirically verified using the developed application. There is a proposed procedure in the thesis in case of using the AngularJS technology in the area of portlet development and common issues related to this usage. The thesis consists of theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with portals as such, mentions the market share, Java Portlet Specifications (JSR-168 and JSR-286) and defines the portlet development paradigm. The practical part of the thesis documents basic procedures necessary for portlet development with the option of using of AngularJS fra-mework and finally it documents the developed application from perspectives of the design and usage. The added value of this thesis is the intelligible guide how to start with development of portlets for Liferay Portal. The most important benefit is the guide created to simplify the usage of the AngularJS framework on the client side of the portlet (in the browser), becau-se usage in the common manner is not possible. The outcome and also the benefit is also the created application, which can be used in order to manage user´s expenses and incomes and which has already been used by the author for this purpose.

Moderní Java frameworky pro tvorbu webových aplikací a jejích porovnání / Modern Java web application frameworks and their comparison

Koščejev, Anton January 2009 (has links)
The goal of this work is to propose a method of comparison and subsequently compare several of the most used Java web application frameworks in the design pattern context. The work describes fundamental design patterns and the compared frameworks, including the patterns implemented by them. Next there is offered a form of evaluation that splits into several criteria and subcriteria, and several sets of weighs representing different scenarios of decision. Frameworks are evaluated and the evaluation is substantiated. Besides the creation of the set of criteria and analysis of individual frameworks, there was an application developed using each of the frameworks, which allowed for a better evaluation by the author. This evaluation is therefore contributive also due to the actual test of the individual frameworks.

Vplyv islamu na ústavné usporiadanie štátu: prípadová štúdia Egypta / Influence of Islam on the constitutional structure of the State: A Case Study of Egypt

Hudecová, Dominika January 2013 (has links)
This diploma thesis address the problem of Islam in Egypt's constitutional arrangements after the change of government caused by the Arab Spring. The main research question is whether Islam was used by political forces affect the new constitutional arrangement of Egypt and if so in what way. The task is to confront the idea that the influence of religion in Islamic society is disappearing . In addressing the research question was the method of analysis of the available literature and information. By performing analysis of the literature , we found that Islam has clearly still a significant impact on Egyptian society, it is used as a tool of political mobilization and mainly Islamic- oriented political parties push Islam into the state structures. The main finding of this work is that secularism as seen in the European sense, is applicable in Egypt only on condition separating Islam from politics and performing only the basic thought form within the state is built

The emergence of the Internet represented an information revolution, opening a space for the flourishing of discussions that break with the dominant powers, and for the spread of groups that do not have their place of expression in traditional media (TV, radio and press). An example of this are the “new evangelicals”, identified in the report of the magazine Época of August 2010 as a movement emerging from various segments of the Brazilian Evangelical Church in response to the growth of Neopentecostalism and to the institutionalization of religion. Through digital media, these Christians denounce and criticize the scandals of the Brazilian Evangelicalism and they propose a return to the “pure and simple gospel”. This religious and mediatic phenomenon motivated the realization of this research, whose objects are the major Brazilian “Protestant” blogs, so called because of the religious movement from which they come (Protestantism), as well as for its critical and reformist character (to protest). The main purpose of this study is to understand how is the appropriation of the new communication technologies by individuals and/or groups within the evangelical circles, which have counter-hegemonic features. This work also contributes to the analysis of some relevant additional issues: 1) the complex roots of Protestantism in Brazilian soil and its main branches; 2) ruptures and continuities in the flourishing of reformist religious phenomena; 3) the current “spring” of the social movements, and the use of the internet as an alternative media, of resistance and counter-hegemony.
