The goal of the diploma thesis is to describe the issues of structural and regional policies of European Union in the Czech Republic and to create general knowledge about running of drawing financial resources from EU funds for a particular project from an applicant´s perspective. The theoretical part deals with the origins of European Union and formation of regional policy of EU. Afterwords it is focused on the formation of regional policy in the Czech Republic and the project cycle. In practical part the project cycle is applied on a particular project Enlargement of nursery schools in Jihlava – Nursery school Nad Plovárnou 5, Jihlava from setting the targets, applying for the grant and up to the realization of the project itself.

The aim of diploma thesis is to create the business plan for investment in technological equipment for midsize company, which operates in the jewelery manufacturing industry. The various options for financing the investment are considered in this thesis, including the possibility of drawing subsidies from EU structural funds. By using the methods of evaluation of investment was chosen the most effective way of funding and formulated my own proposals and recommendations.

This thesis is focused on the enterprise information systems innovation or more precisely on the implementation of the Enterprise Resource Planning system in concrete SME. The second main objective of this thesis is to explicate the possibilities of IS/ICT development cofinancing from the state budget and EU Structural Funds and also to present experience gained during this process in specified company.

Non-governmental non-profit organisations (NGOs) constitute an important actor and partner in implementing gender equality and formulating gender-related public policies. Their functioning and thematic portfolios are for the most part influenced by existing possibilities for funding, which have been significantly transformed by the Czech Republic joining the European Union. This research project aims to determine how EU frameworks established in the area of gender-related policies and financial resources derived from them have been influencing the thematic portfolios of gender- focused NGOs in the Czech Republic. It is divided into two sections. First, it discusses the theoretical basis of the research, introducing the problematics, identifying main gender-focused themes and embedding them within the EU agenda while defining aspects of their practical implementation through mechanisms of the structural politics of the EU. Further, the research paper concentrates on describing the means through which gender-related topics have been treated on the national level, how they are being defined and how the EU setting is being translated into the national context through the offered funding opportunities. This thesis deals with public procurement within Operational Programme Education for Competitiveness during the period 2007 2013. The introductory part of the thesis contains a brief description of Operational Programme Education for Competitiveness and its implementation into targets of regional politics. The following parts are dedicated to the public procurement in general and then in a specific envoronment of Operational Programme Education for Competitiveness. The fundamental part of the thesis illustrates process of supervision of the public contracts (ex-ante and ex-post), results of the checks and most frequent mistakes revealed during checks with a brief analysis of their causes and suggested steps to eliminate them in future. Next part of this thesis is aimed at ineligible expenditures caused by mistakes in public procurements. The final part contains a closer look at area of public procurement in the frame of current programming period 2014 and 2020.

The diploma thesis solves a problem of finnancing tourist trade projects of financial resources of European Union. The system of financial help is one of the most discussed topic after enter Czech Republic to EU. The mechanism of financing project is a little bit difficult, it offers many opportunities of development. A point of this diploma thesis is analysed present situation in Central Bohemia region with a view of tourist trade, it means if there is a development of tourist trade and what kind the financial resources are allocated. The financial help in the part of tourist trade is represented by Common Regional Programm 2004-2006 and Regional Operational Programm NUTS II Central Bohemia 2007-2013. The analysis of four part of Central Bohemia region was made in the diploma thesis due to their influence of development to tourist trade and allocation of financial projects. After that, there were recommended new proposals to improve situation.

The aim of my thesis on the topic „Regional and structural EU policy – economic and legislative aspect“ is a description of all important aspects of Regional policy EU and the performance of regional policy in the context of a specific project.

The aim of thesis ,,Development of selected small towns with using available support programmes" is to evaluate the present situation of selected small tors and a proposal for their further development by using available support programmes. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on explanation of all concepts of these small towns and the practical part includes a analysis of received subsidies and their total evaluation and other potential projects for the development of selected towns with using available support programmes.
