The graduation theses on Structural funds provides an overview of structural funds in its theoretical part, clarifies scope of the European Union regional policy, as well as objectives and instruments for the programming periods 2000 {--} 2006, 2007 {--} 2013.A chapter devoted specifically to the Czech Republic and the EU funds is included, as well as the chapter on ``How to acquire a grant?{\crq}q The main part of the theses elaborates themes on the European social fund and on operating programs for both programming periods. It provides assessment of the national projects titled ``Find your job in the South Bohemian region{\crq}q and ``Back to employment in the South Bohemian region{\crq}q.

Tha aim of my thesis {\clqq}Programmes of support for small and medium-sized enterprises and their application in a chosen company{\crqq} was to analyse subsidy opportunities for small and medium sized enterprises. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on explanation of all concepts of these enterprises and the practical part summarises possibilities of subsidy acquisition. The main sources of subsidies in the chosen enterprise were Operation Programme Enterprise and Innovation and Programme for Countryside Development. In the next section of the practical part I analysed a project of Josef Pavelec {--} Dřevovýroba company {--} and its situation with and without a subsidy.

The aim of this thesis is to determine the public awareness about the possibilities of financial support from the EU funds on enhancing the quality of environment with the special emphasis on waste water and the WWTPs in the Czech Republic. It was studied, whether the attitudes and the public awareness play a role in the construction of WWTPs. Whereas the weight of public opinion in decision-making also testifies the extent of public decision making power on the outcomes of decision making about environmental management, the goal of this work is also to verify the degree of public involvement into the public decision making processes.

Práce popisuje právní aspekty upravující čerpání finančních prostředků ze Struktrurálních fondů Evropské unie. Dále se zabývá zmapováním úspěšnosti či neúspěšnosti českých fyzických a právnických osob při čerpání ze Strukturální fondů Evropské unie v porovnání s úspěšností či neúspěšností osob (fyzických i právnických) ze srovnatelné země a zjištěním na jaké projekty byly nejčastěji čerpány finanční prostředky ze Strukturálních fondů Evropské unie.

The main objective of this thesis is to evaluate the impact of Structural Funds of the European Union on social-economic espects of the Local Action Group Třeboňsko and to describe the means and rules for obtaining support from structural funds ? in particular the conditions for drawdown of subsidies from the Leader programme. I contacted representatives of municipalities with a questionnaire survey and asked about satisfaction with the implementation of structural funds, sukces in drawing, purpose for used resources, their vision for the future. Findings are summarized in the tables nad graphs. Results of the survey evaluated and processed. Custom design changes and recommendations.

Diploma paper is related to South Bohemia region. Diploma paper analyses aktual situation of South Bohemia region and development plans and their contribution for rural areas in South Bohemia region for the interval of years 2004 - 2006. In diploma paper are alalysed Operational plan Rural development and multifunction agriculture, Horizontal plan of rural development a Program of regeneration of rural areas.

This thesis deals with the real estate business, focusing on brownfields and the possibility of its funding from the EU structural funds and national resources. It introduces the reader not only with the theoretical foundations, the clarification of the notions of brownfields and their history, but also with its practical aspects, e.g. which financing options are available and how an entrepreneur can apply for such aid. In these times of financial crisis and lack of access to bank loans this thesis brings comprehensive overview of alternative real estate financing options using public support in order to return the beneficial aspects of brownfield site development and to boost the investment environment, which brings significant benefits to the community. Finally, it gives examples of successful projects recently carried out in Czech Republic.

Subject of this thesis are the issues concerning financial subsidies from the EU funding instruments. The thesis focuses on education, science and research, and briefly describes their current situation in the Czech Republic. The main possible instruments financing these areas are the Structural Funds and the Community Programs. In the second part, there is given detailed instructions on how to prepare an application for a grant. The instructions are more amenable to the Operational Programs administrated in the Czech Republic, but its principles and structure of the project cycle can be used for any project or application.

Thesis is focused on regional policy of the European Union (known as cohesion policy). The goal of the regional policy is to reduce regional disparities among the member countries of the European Union. Therefore, regional policy has an important role among other policies of the European Union. In the period from 2007 to 2013, regional spending account for 36% of the EU budget. The recent enlargement to 27 Member States has dramatically increased disparity levels across the EU. The new Member States have lower levels of income per head and employment rates than other EU countries. This thesis is divided into two parts. The first part characterizes development of the regional policy, its principles and financial instruments. The second part describes enlargement of the European Union to 27 member states, its impacts, reform of the regional policy and the time period from 2007 to 2013. Different views on impacts of the regional policy together with short case study are added. The goal of this thesis is to evaluate the convergence process among the old and new Member states.

The goal of this thesis is to describe the theoretical bases about the issue of financial support funded by the European Union in the years 2007 - 2013 and to show their practical use in a project implemented by the organization PROSTOR PRO, o.p.s. which is called "Zero grade in working life". The next part deals with the program period 2014 - 2020 where the most attention is dedicated to the field of youth unemployment. It is within this very period that the company PROSTOR PRO, o.p.s. is going to implement its next project. The recommended field of focus for future projects is based on established and supported areas as well as questionnaire surveys.
