Komparační studie čtyř romských životních příběhů / Komparační studie čtyř romských životních příběhů

Ryvolová, Karolína January 2015 (has links)
The objective of this thesis is to do a comparative analysis of four Romany life-stories in prose from different parts of the world and identify features which may justly be called characteristic of Romany writing. The comparison of Victor Vishnevsky's Memories of a Gypsy, Mikey Walsh's Gypsy Boy and Gypsy Boy on the Run, Andrej Giňa's Paťiv. Ještě víme, co je úcta and Irena Eliášová's Naše osada yields valuable insights into how Romany writers construct their identity and to what extent their current work relates to the existing literary genres. Because of Romany studies' multidisciplinary nature, the extensive introduction lays the theoretical foundations for the analysis. I proceed from the characteristics of Romany studies in general in part 1.2 to the way it was practised during my undergraduate years in Prague as opposed to the Western tradition (part 1.3). Using a case study of the schism Romany studies are currently facing in the Czech Republic, in part 1.4 I attempt to illustrate the more general epistemological challenges the field has been grappling with between essentialist/primordialist and radical constructivist views. As there is a definite scarcity of theoretical literature conceptualising Romany writing, in part 1.5 of the introduction the existing body of work is assessed and found...

In the introductory clause is presented theoretical outline of the male friendship concept of male friendship in the culture of the Italian Renaissance and also some key aspects of the portrait genre. The work is divided into chapters by topic: for example, "Portrait and Antique", "Portrait and Remembrance", "Portrait and Poetry". Some particularly interesting moments were extracted into separate excursions as profile portraits of two men, the subject of a mirror in a portrait genre, the communication possibilities of images. Artworks analyzed in the present research are not classified into a classical model of chronological "development". The pictures are interconnected with theoretical thinking, which is also conditioned by the artwork itself. For each painting, existing researches have been gathered and comprehended. There are also new iconographic interpretations of some of the presented works. For research have been abundantly used literature of period, theoretical writings and poetry. Odborové svazy: opora fosilní ekonomiky, nebo subjekt sociálně-ekologické transformace? / Trade unions: support for a fossil economy, or a subject of social-ecological transformation?

Patočka, Josef January 2020 (has links)
Both the theoretical outlines of a solution to the climate and ecological crisis, as well as concrete efforts at environmental reform and energy transformation, often run into the ambivalent role of organised labour, particularly trade unions, in todays growth-oriented, fossil-fuel based economy. On the one hand, trade unions often already formally endorse the ideal of sustainability, on the other hand, in concrete environmental conflicts, they often the side with "jobs" against climate and environmental protections, and thus serve as a support of the growth-oriented fossil economy. The concept of a just transition, embodying the attempts at creating a framework in which the interests of workers and climate protection can be reconciled, thus also becomes ambivalent, serving often as a basis for arguments against more ambitious decarbonization. The aim of this thesis, drawing on the theoretical framework of critical political ecology, is to explore the possibilities of solving this dilemma in the case of Czech trade unions. On the basis of interviews with their various representatives, it will try to answer the questions: 1) what political strategy is shaping the policies of Czech trade unions in the sphere of climate and energy policy, 2) how do these trade unions see their role in the proces of a...
