Coding in a discrete multitone modulation system

Bengtsson, Daniel, Landström, Daniel January 1996 (has links)
Discrete Multitone (DMT) modulation is a multicarrier technique which makes efficient use of the channel, maximizing the htroughput by sending different numbers of bits on different subchannels. The number of bits on each subchannel depends in the Signal-to-Noise Ratio of the subchannel. The performance of a DMT system can be further increased by using powerful coding techniques. This thesis investigates an implementation of coding for a DMT system. The coding techniques considered are Ree-Solomon coding combined with interleaving, and Trellis Coded Modulation. Wei's 4-dimensional 16-state coder combined with trellis shaping is the suggested trellis code. A single encoder is used which codes across the tones of each DMT-symbol. At a bit error probability of 10 -7 the suggested codes gain 3-6 dB over uncoded transmission. Hardware complexity and algorithmic aspects of coding are covered, as well as simulations to verify it.

Utvärdering av kravhanteringsmetod : Täcker Stjärnan viktiga delar av kravhanteringsprocessen i ensystemarkitektonisk kontext ? / Evaluation of requirements management method : Does Stjärnan cover key demands of the requirementmanagement process in a system architectural context ?

Lindell, Viktor, Bahceci, Özgur January 2017 (has links)
Detta resultat framkommer ur vår analys där vi genom en matris visar huruvida Stjärnan uppfyller de kriterier Bass-modellen efterfrågar / In today's IT operations, procurement of a new IT platform is a way of developing a business and its business. Platforms can be purchased or built by the company itself. If the company decides to buy a standard system, there’s a huge range of standardized platforms to choose from. However, many standard systems do not provide desired results for the business or remain unused in some cases. It is therefore important to carry out a task in which you correctly identify and describe an activity's needs to avoid the procurement of a standard system that does not produce results. By using methodologies, companies get a kind of framework they can work from and in this age there are many different requirements such as Rational Unified Process (RUP) or ISO / IEC 25000 called System and Software Quality Requirements and Evaluation (SQuaRE). One of these requirements is Stjärnan, which is a popular method of use in Sweden. Stjärnan is initially based on the internationally recognized method RUP. Stjärnan has taken parts of RUP and scaled it down to create a method adapted to Swedish operations. Stjärnan is generally used to capture and structure the work of crafts in a system development project. We have evaluated Stjärnan in a system architectural context to see how well adapted it is to Swedish operations. We have produced a requirement specification in our process, which is a practical part of the evaluation we carry out. In our evaluation we have used an evaluation model we chose to call the Bass model. This model measures how well a method meets criteria within the process. The empirical report is based on interviews and mail correspondence as well as document collection. This has been done to answer our question "Does Stjärnan cover key parts of the requirements management process in a system architectural context?" The result of our report shows that Stjärnan covers important parts of the requirement management process in a system architectural context. This result emerges from our analysis, where we show through a matrix whether the star meets the criteria the Bass model demands

Open Data Initiatives : Understanding Management in an Uncertain Ecosystem

Shehzad, Murtaza January 2017 (has links)
The thesis tried to understand how renowned open data initiatives work, and give an attempt to investigate the relations between actors in an open data ecosystem. This was with ambitions to understand managerial approaches open data initiatives have adopted, to develop an understanding of actions and relations; where, how and whom initiatives support and facilitate. This is understandably of concern as not all open data initiatives reach a point where they have managed to bring about valuable impacts. The underlying assumption here is that it is difficult to visualise where and how open data can be beneficial, as such governmental open data initiatives remain stagnant with a limited understanding of strategies to adopt. The method of approach has been semi-structured interviews with international governmental open data officials. The findings suggest that open data management remarkably consist of approaches that are user-orientated and aim for governmental data management capacities. These two measures combined can instigate greater interaction between data users and publishers, which subsequently uncovers degrees of uncertainty and aids in building an open and digital system. Furthermore, the initiatives focus heavily on building awareness and consequently demonstrating value. It is crucial for open data initiatives to build momentum in activities through informing, teaching and engaging data users and publishers. Their end target is to demonstrate value for both sharing and using data. Certain risk is still inherent in opening up data, with that it is recommended to start small and safe - to build on small projects, observe outcomes, and then take directions. / open data initiative; ecosystem; complex; uncertainty; stagnant; change management; simple order-generating rule

Internetröstning i Sverige : En möjlighet med blockkedjan?

Hellner, Filip, Norman, Samuel January 2017 (has links)

Haddad, Silwan January 2017 (has links)
A company that does not exist on the Internet will not survive and will lose its current customers.  The purpose of this study is to create a website for a foodstore that uses a community to support the food business to survive. There are a number of problems to be solved in terms of communication between the customers and the supermarket Årstaberg life. Using an agile manner, the work created a web portal to Årstaberg livs. Where previous studies and theories is a basis to show the way to a useful design suggestions of a web portal to support other activities.  Qualitative method was used to develop the requirements needed to make the web portal useful. There will be developed a specification, using the creation of a design proposals using a CMS tool. To ensure that the web portal will be made that two users tests to finally get a web portal.
