Bakalauro darbe analizuojamas šeimų, auginančių neįgalius vaikus, požiūris į vaiko negalę, šeimos narių tarpusavio santykių ir gyvenimo šeimoje permainos, gimus vaikui, turinčiam negalę. Tema aktuali, nes tyrimai susiję su šeimomis, auginančiomis neįgalius vaikus, tik neseniai pradėti Lietuvoje. Mažai žinoma, ką išgyvena tėvai, bei kiti šeimos nariai, kai šeimoje gimsta neįgalus vaikas, su kokiomis jų ugdymo, lavinimo bei savo laisvalaikio praleidimo problemomis jie susiduria. Tyrimo tikslas – ištirti tėvų emocinių išgyvenimų pobūdį ir patirtis, gimus neįgaliam vaikui. Tyrime dalyvavo 18 motinų, auginančių vaikus, turinčius vienokią ar kitokią negalę. Struktūruoto interviu metodu tirta, kokios tėvų, auginančių neįgalius vaikus reakcijos bei lūkesčiai, prieš gimstant ir gimus neįgaliam vaikui; neįgalūs vaikai: jų pomėgiai, galimybės, charakterio bruožai; tėvų požiūris į neįgalaus vaiko mokymo ir auklėjimo perspektyvas bei planai, susiję su jo ateitimi; šių tėvų darbo bei laisvalaikio organizavimo galimybės; brolių/ seserų, visuomenės požiūris į neįgalų šeimos narį; situacijos šeimose, tėvų tarpusavio santykiai neįgalaus vaiko atžvilgiu. Atlikta interviu turinio ir atvejų analizė. Subject matter is topical as research related to families raising children with disabilities have only recently begin in Lithuania, the literature found little substance in the subject. Purpose of stadies – to explore parents emotional experience and the nature of the birth a disabled child. The study included eighteen mothers raising children with some form of disability. Using the structured interview method was studied: parents, who are raising disabled children, their expectations and reactions before the birth and afterthe birth of a disabled child; disabled children: their interests, opportunities, character features; parents attitude towards the disabled child's education and training opportunities and respectives, plans relating to their future; parents, who are raising disabled children, organization of work and leisure opportunities; brothers / sisters, the public attitude to the disabled family member; family situations, parental relationship between a disabled child.
