Ce travail de thèse présente des analyses isotopiques Lu-Hf par MC-ICP-MS combinées de zircons ignés et de roches totales d’une importante collection de granitoïdes archéens appartenant à la suite des Tonalite-Trondhjémite-Granodiorite (TTG) afin d’apporter un regard nouveau sur la croissance de la croûte continentale et tout particulièrement dans le début de l’histoire de la Terre. Nos données indiquent un bon accord général entre les zircons ignés, mesurés par ablation-laser et par solution, avec leurs roche-hôtes. Nous démontrons que le rapport Lu/Hf intégré dans le temps de la source mantellique des TTG est près de la valeur chondritique et n’a pas significativement changée au cours des 4 derniers milliards d’années. Par conséquent, les continents se sont formés à partir d’un matériel primitif non fractionné extrait du manteau profond par l’intermédiaire de panaches qui après fusion partielle ont laissés un résidu appauvri dans le manteau supérieur. Les cristaux de zircon extraits des TTG ont des compositions isotopiques en Hf cohérentes au sein d’une même population alors que le système U-Pb, dans les mêmes grains, est souvent perturbé résultant ainsi en l’obtention de valeurs d’εHf initial erronées. Ce problème est endémique aux cristaux de zircon détritiques archéens et en accord avec des résultats expérimentaux sur la mobilité préférentielle de l’Hf en fonction de celle de l’U et du Pb au sein du zircon. Nous suggérons que ce problème biaise l’enregistrement détritique archéen en faveur de valeurs d’εHf initial négatives qui contrastent avec les valeurs obtenues pour les TTG mais peuvent être expliquées par l’utilisation d’âges 207Pb/206Pb non-magmatiques. Si l’on considère les cristaux de zircon de Jack Hills au vu de ces résultats, la source des continents serait restée inchangée depuis 4,3 Ga. / This PhD thesis presents combined whole-rock and single zircon MC-ICP-MS Lu-Hf isotope data for a large collection of Archean granitoids belonging to typical Tonalite-Trondhjemite-Granodiorite (TTG) suites. The data were collected in an attempt to shed new light on early crustal growth. Our data display overall good agreement between Hf isotope compositions of igneous zircons, measured by both laser-ablation and solution chemistry, and their host-rocks. It is shown that the time-integrated Lu/Hf of the mantle source of TTGs is near-chronditic and has not significantly changed over the last 4 Gy. Continents therefore most likely grew from nearly primordial unfractionated material extracted from the deep mantle via rising plumes that left a depleted melt residue in the upper mantle. Zircons extracted from the analyzed TTGs have Hf isotopic compositions broadly consistent within populations, whereas the U-Pb system in the same grains is often disturbed, causing spurious initial εHf values. This problem is endemic to the Archean detrital zircon record and consistent with experimental results bearing on the relative retentivity of Hf vs. U and Pb in zircon. We argue that this behavior biases the Archean zircon record towards negative εHf values, which are at odds with the present TTG data set but can be explained by zircons having non-magmatic 207Pb/206Pb ages. If the Hadean Jack Hills zircons are considered in light of these results, the mantle source of continents has remained unchanged for the last 4.3 Gy.

O objetivo deste trabalho foi estudar os efeitos da administração parenteral de vitamina E no desempenho produtivo e na sensibilidade à insulina de cordeiros nascidos de ovelhas suplementadas ou não com vitamina E no 108º dia de gestação. Foram utilizados 28 cordeiros em delineamento de blocos casualizados, considerando o sexo dos cordeiros e tipo de gestação, se única ou gemelar; com planejamento fatorial 2X2, em que foram considerados cordeiros de ovelhas que receberam ou não vitamina E e cordeiros que receberam ou não vitamina E na dosagem de 60 UI/kg PV até 24 horas após o nascimento, distribuindo em quatro grupos: EE: Cordeiros e ovelhas que receberam vitamina E; EC: Cordeiros que receberam veículo oleoso (controle) nascidos de ovelhas que receberam vitamina E; CC: Cordeiros e ovelhas que receberam veículo oleoso; CE: Cordeiros que receberam vitamina E nascidos de ovelhas que receberam veículo oleoso. Para detecção da sensibilidade à insulina, aos 28 dias de vida (T1) os cordeiros foram submetidos ao teste de tolerância à glicose (TTG). Foram determinados aos dois (T0) e aos 28 (T1) dias de vida as atividades de CK, AST, GGT, SOD, GSH-Px; o status antioxidante total (TAS); a habilidade de redução do ferro plasmático (HRFP), as substâncias reativas ao ácido tiobarbitúrico (TBARs); as concentrações de ácido úrico, glicose, ácidos graxos não esterificados (AGNE), betahidroxibutirato (BHB), triglicerídeos, colesterol, cálcio total, cálcio ionizável, proteína total, albumina, ureia, creatinina e a concentração plasmática de vitamina E (alfa-tocoferol). Foram calculados os valores de RQUICKI e de RQUICKI BHB em T0 e em T1. Semanalmente foram acompanhados o peso e o escore de condição corporal dos cordeiros (ECC). Os dados foram analisados utilizando-se o pacote estatístico STATISTICAL ANALYSIS SYSTEM (SAS) e para todos os testes foi adotado o nível de significância de 5%. A administração parenteral de 60 UI/kg de vitamina E em ovelhas no 108o dia de gestação e/ou nas primeiras 24 horas de vida de cordeiros não influenciou as concentrações de cálcio total, proteína total, ureia, albumina, TAS, cortisol, insulina; as concentrações plasmáticas de glicose, colesterol, triglicérides, AGNE, HRFP; as atividades de AST, GGT, GSH-Px e SOD; e os valores de RQUICKI, peso e ECC. Foi observada diminuição da sensibilidade à insulina e concentração de alfa tocoferol no T0 para cordeiros nascidos de ovelhas suplementadas com vitamina E. A suplementação dos cordeiros melhorou o status antioxidante no T0 e a produção de BHB no T1. A suplementação com alfa tocoferol não influenciou no peso vivo e no ECC até a quarta semana de vida do cordeiro. / The objective of this work was to study the effects of parenteral administration of vitamin E on the productive performance and insulin sensitivity of lambs born from ewes supplemented or not with vitamin E on the 108th day of gestation. Twenty-eight lambs received intramuscularly 60 UI/kg BW of vitamin E or oily vehicle until 24 hours after birth and were distributed according to their sex and type of pregnancy (single or twin) into four groups using a 2x2 factorial design: EE: lambs and ewes treated with vitamin E; EC: Lambs that received oily vehicle (control) born from ewe treated with vitamin E; CC: Lambs and ewe that received oily vehicle; EC: Lambs that received vitamin E born from ewe treated with the oily vehicle. At 28 days old, all lambs were submitted to the glucose tolerance test (GTT). At 28 days old, all lambs were submitted to the glucose tolerance test (GTT) to detect insulin sensitivity. The activities of CK, AST, GGT, SOD, GSH-Px; total antioxidant status (TAS); the ability to reduce plasma iron (HRFP), thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARs); the concentrations of uric acid, glucose, non-esterified fatty acids (NEFA), betahydroxybutyrate (BHB), triglycerides, cholesterol, total calcium, ionizable calcium, total protein, albumin, urea, creatinine and plasma concentration of vitamin E (alpha-tocopherol) were determined at 2 (T0) and at 28 (T1) days of life. The RQUICKI and RQUICKI BHB values were calculated in T0 and T1. The body condition score (BCS) and the live weight were measured every week. The data were analyzed using the statistical package STATISTICAL ANALYSIS SYSTEM (SAS) and for all the tests was adopted the level of significance of 5%. Parenteral administration of 60 IU / kg vitamin E in sheep on the 108th day of gestation and / or during the first 24 hours of lamb life did not influence the concentrations of total calcium, total protein, urea, albumin, TAS, cortisol, insulin; plasma concentrations of glucose, cholesterol, triglycerides, NEFA, FRAP; the activities of AST, GGT, GSH-Px and SOD; and the RQUICKI, weight and BSC values. There was only effect related to the age of the lambs for these variables. Decreased insulin sensitivity and increased alpha tocopherol concentration was observed in T0 for lambs born from ewe supplemented with vitamin E. The supplementation of the lambs improved the antioxidant status in T0 and the BHB production in T1. Alfa Tocopherol supplementation did not influence the live weight and BSC until the fourth week of life of the lambs.

Protracted Magmatism within the North Caribou Terrane, Superior Province: Petrology, Geochronology, and Geochemistry of Meso- to Neoarchean TTG SuitesVan Lankvelt, Amanda L. 08 May 2013 (has links)
The North Caribou Terrane forms the core of Superior Province and records a protracted history of crustal growth and modification. At the centre of the North Caribou Terrane, lies the North Caribou greenstone belt, which is surrounded by granitoids of diverse compositions and ages. This study reports whole-rock geochemistry, zircon and titanite geochronology, and hornblende geobarometry on these plutonic rocks. Although zircons as old as 3132 ± 7 Ma were found, the main magmatic pulse occurred between 2880 and 2830 Ma, and geobarometry indicates tectonic thickening during this period. This was followed by widespread hydrothermal alteration and limited magmatism from 2760 to 2680 Ma, and shallow, brittle-ductile intrusions at circa 2630 Ma. From 2730 to 2630 Ma, intrusions were emplaced at increasingly shallow crustal levels. All of the rocks, except for the youngest pegmatitic intrusions, show similar patterns in major and trace elements, with a general trend toward more evolved compositions through time. These patterns indicate that the granitoids record mostly reworking of early intrusions, which is also consistent with patterns observed in the geochronology.

Dépistage précoce du diabète gestationnel / Early screening of gestational diabetes mellitusMahdavian, Masoud January 2015 (has links)
Résumé : L’aggravation de certaines caractéristiques cliniques des femmes enceintes (âge, poids) et l’augmentation de la prévalence du diabète gestationnel (DG) poussent à dépister le DG le plus tôt possible pour éviter chez la mère et le fœtus les complications à court et à long terme. Le dépistage du DG est recommandé à 24-28 semaines de grossesse, et le plus souvent un test de tolérance à 50g de glucose (TTG) est réalisé. Pour les femmes qui ont des facteurs de risque, ce test doit être effectué plus précocement, habituellement pendant le premier trimestre de la grossesse. Cette dernière recommandation est peu suivie, d’autant qu’il n’y a pas de consensus international sur le dépistage du DG pendant le premier trimestre de la grossesse.
Objectifs. 1) Définir au premier trimestre de la grossesse la valeur de la glycémie du TTG qui prédit le diagnostic de DG à 24-28 semaines avec une sensibilité et une spécificité optimales à l’aide d’une courbe ROC. 2) Déterminer si la glycémie du TTG au premier trimestre est un facteur prédictif indépendant du DG.
Méthodes. Étude prospective de cohorte. Les facteurs d'inclusion étaient : âge ≥ 18 ans et âge gestationnel entre 6 et 13 semaines après la dernière menstruation. Les TTG ont été effectués à la première visite prénatale. Une deuxième visite était programmée à 24-28 semaines pour faire une hyperglycémie provoquée par voie orale (HGPO) et donc un éventuel diagnostic de DG. Les critères utilisés pour ce diagnostic étaient ceux de l’Association américaine du diabète.
Résultats. Les TTG ont été faits à 9,1±2,0 semaines et les HGPO à 26.5±1.1semaines chez 1180 femmes (28,2±4,4 ans, IMC : 25,2±5,5 kg/m[indice supérieur 2]). Un DG a été diagnostiqué chez 100 (8,4%) participantes. La valeur de glycémie du TTG à 5,6 mmol/L a prédit le DG avec une sensibilité de 84,1% et une spécificité de 62,3%, tandis que la valeur prédictive positive était de 0,121 et la valeur prédictive négative de 0,985. Cette valeur de 5,6 était indépendamment associée au DG (OR=2,806, IC 95%: 1,98 à 3,97, p <0,001). Comparé à d'autres facteurs de risque, le TTG était le plus puissant prédicteur indépendant du DG (OR=1,767, IC 95%: 1,52 à 2,05, p <0,001).
Conclusions. Au premier trimestre, la valeur glycémie de 5.6 mmol/L du TTG prédit avec une bonne sensibilité et spécificité l’apparition d’un DG à 24-28 semaines. La glycémie du TTG au premier trimestre est le plus puissant prédicteur indépendant de DG. / Abstract : The changes in clinical characteristics of pregnant women and an increase in the prevalence of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) warrant the importance of screening as early as possible in order to possibly prevent short and long-term complications in both the mother and fetus. GDM screening is recommended at 24-28 weeks of pregnancy, using a 50g glucose challenge test (GCT) although women with multiple risk factors are expected to be assessed “early” in pregnancy, a recommendation poorly followed. Most importantly, there is no universal agreement currently in place for GDM screening, particularly during the first trimester of pregnancy.
Objectives. 1) To define the cut-off value of GCT during the first trimester in order to predict GDM diagnosed at 24-28 weeks of gestation with optimal sensitivity and specificity using ROC curve. 2) To determine if GCT during the first trimester of pregnancy is an independent predictor of GDM diagnosed at 24-28 weeks gestation.
Methods. This is a prospective cohort study. Women were recruited at their first prenatal visit. Inclusion factors were: age ≥ 18 years and gestational age between 6 and 13 weeks from their last menstrual period. GCT were performed at the first prenatal visit. The second visit was scheduled at 24-28 weeks for the diagnostic 75g oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT). GDM diagnosis was made in accordance with the American Diabetes Association guidelines. A variety of statistical analysis including multivariate logistic regression models and ROC curve were used to address the aims of the study.
Results. Participants (n=1180, age: 28.2±4.4 years, BMI: 25.2±5.5 kg/m[superscript 2]) underwent GCT at 9.1±2.0 weeks and OGTT at 26.5±1.1 weeks of gestation. GDM was diagnosed in 100 (8.4%) women. The cut-off value of 5.6 mmol/L predicted GDM with 84.1% (75.4-92.7) sensitivity, 62.3% (59.5-65.1) specificity, while the positive predictive value was 0.121 (0.091-0.150) and the negative predictive value was 0.985 (0.975-0.994). This 5.6 value was independently associated with GDM (OR=2.806, 95% CI: 1.98-3.97, p<0.001). Compared to other risk factors, GCT was the strongest independent predictor of GDM (OR=1.767, 95% CI: 1.52-2.05, p<0.001).
Conclusions. The cut-off value of 5.6 mmol/L has the optimal sensitivity and specificity for the GCT during the first trimester to predict GDM at 24-28 weeks of gestation according to ADA guidelines. GCT during the first trimester is the strongest independent predictor of GDM at 24-28 weeks of gestation.

Ce travail de thèse s'intéresse à l'événement transamazonien en Guyane Française. Le Transamazonien constitue l'événement géodynamique majeur structurant le bouclier des Guyanes entre 2.2 et 2.0 Ga. L'évolution de l'orogenèse transamazonienne est décrite en termes de croissance crustale, prenant en compte des processus de recyclage archéen ainsi que des processus d'accrétion juvénile et de réactivation thermotectonique au Paléoprotérozoïque. Notre travail axé sur une étude géochronologique (U-Pb et Ar/Ar) et une étude géochimique (éléments majeurs et éléments en trace) a permis de proposer un modèle d'évolution en quatre étapes : une première étape avec la formation d'une croûte océanique juvénile à 2.2 Ga, une seconde étape de croissance crustale, avec la formation de série TTG entre 2.18 et 2.1Ga. Cette seconde étape présente une évolution du contexte de subduction générant les TTG, le résultat est la formation de magmas type «sanukitoïdes». La troisième étape présente la formation de magmas calco-alcalins (2.1 à 2.08 Ga) résultant du «refroidissement» du contexte de subduction déjà initié lors de la seconde étape. Le stade final est caractérisé par la formation de granites d'anatexie crustale (2.1 à 2.06 Ga). Plus globalement, notre étude sur le Transamazonien s'intéresse à la question clé des domaines paléoprotérozoïques, qui est de définir quels types de processus étaient actifs à cette période ? Le Paléoprotérozoïque se situe à la transition entre la période archéenne dominée par des processus de croissance crustale dits «archaïques» et une période récente caractérisée par des processus de croissance crustale dits «modernes».

Previous issue date: 2013 / CAPES - Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / INCT/GEOCIAM - Instituto Nacional de Ciência e Tecnologia de Geociências da Amazônia / Os estudos geológicos realizados no extremo leste do Subdomínio de Transição da Província Carajás demonstraram que a área estudada é composta dominantemente por associações tonalito-trondhjemito-granodiorito (TTG). De modo subordinado, ocorrem rochas monzograníticas deformadas, associadas aos granitos tipo Planalto, e gabros inseridos na associação máfico-enderbítica. Granitos isotrópicos e diversos diques máficos desprovidos de deformação expressiva seccionam os litotipos arqueanos mapeados. A associação TTG aflora na forma de blocos ou lajedos, geralmente em áreas de relevo arrasado. São rochas de cor cinza e granulação média, mostrando bandamento composicional ou, por vezes, aspecto homogêneo, frequentemente englobando enclaves quartzo-dioríticos. Apresentam-se intensamente deformadas, com foliação dominante segundo E-W e mergulhos fortemente inclinados a subverticais. Localmente apresentam estruturas NE-SW, transpostas por cisalhamentos E-W. Em algumas ocorrências, exibem feições miloníticas a protomiloníticas, registradas nas formas ovaladas dos porfiroblastos de plagioclásio ou de veios leucograníticos boudinados. São reconhecidas duas variedades petrográficas para esta associação: Biotitatrondjhemito e, subordinados, biotita-granodioritos, ambos com conteúdos modais variáveis de muscovita e epidoto. Essas variedades possuem aspectos texturais similares e mostram trama ígnea pouco preservada, mascarada por intensa recristalização, acompanhada do desenvolvimento de foliação milonítica incipiente a marcante. Análises por EDS efetuadas em microscópio eletrônico de varredura revelaram que o plagioclásio possui composição de oligoclásio cálcico (An27-19), com teores de Or variando de 0,6 a 2,3%. As biotitas são ferromagnesianas, com ligeira dominância de Fe sobre Mg (Fe/[Fe+Mg] variando de 0,54 a 0,59) e os epidotos analisados apresentam teores de pistacita que variam de 23 a 27,6%, situados em sua maioria no intervalo de epidotos magmáticos. Estudos litogeoquimicos identificaram duas composições distintas: uma de afinidade trondhjemitica (dominante) e outra granodiorítica e cálcico-alcalina. A primeira apresenta
características típicas das suítes TTG arqueanas. A última apresenta enriquecimento em LILE, especificamente K2O, Rb e Ba, quando comparada com os trondhjemitos dominantes, mas ainda preserva alguns aspectos afins das associações TTG arqueanas. Diferentes mecanismos são propostos para explicar a origem e evolução desses dois litotipos. Os dados geoquímicos são inconsistentes com as hipóteses de diferenciação desses dois grupos de rochas por meio de processos de cristalização fracionada a partir de magma tonalítico/trondhjemítico ou derivação dos granodioritos por anatexia das rochas TTG dominantes. Os tonalitos e trondhjemitos exibem afinidade com os grupos de TTG de alta razão La/Yb e Sr/Y da Província Carajás, sugerindo que foram derivados de fontes à base de granada anfibolitos em altas pressões (ca. 1,5 GPa), ou no mínimo apresentam uma evolução magmática controlada pelo fracionamento de granada, fato normalmente admitido para os TTG arqueanos. O estudo comparativo apontou maiores similaridades entre os TTG estudados e o Tonalito Mariazinha e o Trondhjemito Mogno, do Domínio Rio Maria, e com o Trondhjemito Colorado e, em menor grau, Trondhjemito Rio Verde, do Domínio Carajás. As características geoquímicas particulares das rochas granodioríticas podem ser devidas à contaminação de magmas ou rochas TTG a partir de metassomatismo litosférico ou à assimilação de sedimentos oriundos da crosta oceânica em subducção durante a gênese do liquido trondhjemítico. Em ambas as hipóteses, haveria a preservação de parte das características de associações TTG. As associações arqueanas identificadas neste trabalho implicam existência expressiva de rochas TTG no Subdomínio de Transição. Esse fato tende a fortalecer a hipótese de que o Subdomínio de Transição representa uma extensão do Domínio Rio Maria, mas afetado por
eventos de retrabalhamento crustal durante o Neoarqueano. Na porção leste da área ocorrem pequenos corpos monzograníticos alongados segundo E-W, claramente condicionados por cisalhamentos. Suas rochas apresentam texturas miloníticas, caracterizadas por porfiroclastos de feldspatos com formas amendoadas, contornados principalmente por micas e quartzo recristalizados. Apresentam assinaturas geoquímicas de granitos tipo-A reduzidos e são similares aos granitos da Suíte Planalto, da área de Canaã dos Carajás. Rochas máficas afloram restritamente na porção centro-norte da área na forma de blocos. São rochas com textura dominantemente granoblástica, com arranjos em mosaico, constituídas basicamente por anfibólio e plagioclásio, com quartzo e biotita subordinados. Na porção norte da área mapeada foi identificado um corpo de granito isotrópico, sem deformação expressiva, com texturas rapakivi localizadas. Apresenta relevo de colinas suaves, com padrão morfológico distinto dos granitóides arqueanos. Este corpo granítico foi correlacionado aos granitos tipo-A paleoproterozoicos, representados no Domínio Carajás pela Suíte Serra dos Carajás e pelo Granito Rio Branco. Esses granitos não são objeto desta pesquisa e, portanto, não foram estudados em maior detalhe. / The eastern border of the Transition Subdomain of the Carajás Province is constituteddominantly of Archean tonalite-trondhjemite-granodiorite (TTG). Deformed monzogranites,
similar to the Planalto granite suite, and metagabbros inserted in association mafic-enderbitic
also occur. Paleoproterozoic isotropic granites and mafic dykes devoid of significant
deformation crosscut the Archean lithologies. The TTGs are exposed as blocks or as flat
outcrops in areas of low relief and commonly include quartz-diorite enclaves. The TTG rocks
display gray colour and are generally medium-grained, showing compositional banding or,
sometimes, homogeneous aspect. They show commonly a NW-SW to E-W trending foliation
with vertical to subvertical dips and were submitted to NE-SW stress. Locally, it was
identified a NE-SW foliation transposed to E-W along shear zones. In some instances, they
exhibit mylonitic to protomilonitics features, registered in the oval form of plagioclase
porphyroclasts or boudinated leucogranitics veins. Two petrographic varieties are recognized
for this association: biotite-trondjhemite and subordinate biotite-granodiorites, both have
similar mineralogical and textural aspects and are characterized by a poorly preserved igneous
texture, partially overwritten by an intense recrystallization.
EDS analyses revealed that the plagioclase is a calcic oligoclase (An27-19), with Or
ranging from 0.6 - 2.3%. The biotites are ferromagnesian, with dominance of Fe over Mg (Fe
/ [Fe + Mg] ranging from 0.54 to 0.59) and the analyzed epidote presents pistacite contents
ranging from 23 to 27.6 % and plot mostly in the range of magmatic epidotes.
The trondhjemite shows all typical characteristics of Archean TTG suites. They have
high La/Yb and Sr/Y ratios, suggesting they were derived from the partial melting of garnet
amphibolite sources at high pressures (ca. 1.5 GPa) or, at least, that their magmatic evolution
was controlled by the fractionation of garnet and possibly amphibole, without significant
influence of plagioclase. The studied TTGs show similarities with Mariazinha tonalite and
Mogno trondjemite, of the Rio Maria Domain, Colorado trondhjemite and, in at a lesser
degree, to the Rio Verde trondhjemite, of the Carajás Domain.
The granodiorites display a calc-alkaline signature and shows LILE enrichment,
specifically K²O, Rb and Ba, when compared to the trondhjemites, but still preserving some
geochemical features of the TTG. The geochemical data indicate that the trondhjemite and
granodiorite are not related by fractional crystallization. An origin of the granodiorite by
partial melting of the TTG rocks is also discarded. The granodiorite could, however, result of
contamination of TTG magmas by lithosphere metasomatism or assimilation of sediments
from subducted oceanic crust along trondhjemite liquid genesis.
In the eastern portion of the mapped area, it was identified a small, E-W trending
granite stock clearly controlled by shear zones. The rocks have mylonitic textures,
characterized by ovoid-shaped feldspar porphyroclasts, wrapped by recrystallized quartz and
mica. These granitic rocks have geochemical signatures of reduced A-type granites and are
similar to the Planalto granite suite.
Boulders of mafic rocks crop out locally in the northern portion of the area. These
rocks show a dominant granoblastic texture, and are mainly composed of amphibole and
plagioclase, with subordinate biotite and quartz.
In the northern part of the mapped area, it was identified a body of isotropic granite
without significant deformation and showing locally rapakivi textures. This granitic pluton
was correlated to the Paleoproterozoic A-type granites, represented in the Carajás Domain by
the Serra dos Carajás suite and Rio Branco Granite. These granites were not studied in detail.
The geological and geochemical aspects shown by the Archean granitoids identified in
the eastern part of the Transition Subdomain implies in the existence of significant TTG rocks
in the Transition Subdomain. This reinforces the hypothesis that the Transition Subdomain
could represent an extension of the Rio Maria Domain, but affected by crustal reworking
events in the Neoarchean.
