Analysis of internal communication : case study Sandvik SMT Market Service

Kovac, Senad, Holmgren, Mikael January 2008 (has links)
Large scale companies have massive information flows in their administrative departments. This often creates problems when there is a lack of communication both internally and with internal partners such as sales units. Sandvik SMT Market Service (SBMS) is no exception in this case. They got big problems with their communication with the sales units especially when it concerns the mail traffic and routing of information. Today SBMS have three regional mailboxes where the SU’s (Sales Unit) send their mails depending on which region they belong to. This structure does not function as intended and creates an overload which leads to long response times. Therefore the market service manager Jonas Hofvenstam wanted us to investigate this problem area with the possibility of segmenting the mailboxes including a tagging system and to perform a review of the sales tools portal in order to shorten the response times and decrease the mail traffic. The outcome of this paper was suggestions/proposals regarding how to structure the common mailboxes, illustration of a tagging system for the mails and suggestions of how to improve the sales tools portal. We also made recommendations on how to take these suggestions into action including step by step instructions to make it easier when performing an implementation.

GWAP design for a mobile geo-tagging system with confident verification

Yang, Tai Rong Unknown Date (has links)
(Android Phone)。 / Human Computation is popular recently and have become one of the hottest research topics, therefore Location-based service also drives a lot of issues. Due to collect information always cause too many manpower- wasted in tradition , so we hoped that the users to complete the things which we want by play game’s way .In this thesis, we based on the concept of ‘Games with a Purpose’(GWAP) to develop a mobile geospatial tagging system, system adopt player share self nearby scenic spots information and then through another players come the same place do the verification, allowing the player to play the game in the side of the process of collecting the relevant geographic information, on the other hand to achieve the purpose of scenic spots information is reliable. However, how to choose topics for player verification can effectively evaluate the system performance, to solve these problems we propose three different selection strategies on the task assignment algorithms, then through a series of simulation experiments designed to prove that our system can indeed achieve good performance on the topics, finally we take into account real life situations and implement in the smart phone (Android Phone).

Tagging et folksonomies : pragmatique de l'orientation sur le Web / Tagging and Folksonomies : pragmatics of orientation on the Web

Crépel, Maxime 30 November 2011 (has links)
This research proposes an anlysis of tagging systems uses on the Web. Tagging is not a simple personnal tool of web ressources categorization but classifications emerging from free tags indexation, named folksonomies, allow Internet users to create physical and interpretative supports which produce new forms of social navigation. Those tagging networks give the opportunity to Internet users to navigate and to act in the complex and abundant Web universe, but they are also coordination supports with other Internet users. Tags appear as conventionnal supports which allow coordination of actions in variable-geometry collectives. In those more or less identified and large collectives, members share common vocabulary and interests. Based on a socio-technical approach, we study coupling between conception and uses of tagging systems. We explain that tagging proposes an under construction and alternative way to architecture and accessibility politics of the Web ressources
