Durante este período, o Quartinho foi o espaço, onde realizei diversos trabalhos artísticos e também pesquisei algumas linguagens como: fotografia, desenho de computador, desenho de observação. Alguns tipos de impressão digital também foram experimentados, em papel fotográfico, em papel algodão, em adesivos, papéis de cores, gramaturas e tamanhos diversos. A minha intenção, a principio, era a observação de um espaço vazio e como as mudanças ocorrem no decorrer da passagem de tempo em um período, em um espaço determinado. Com este propósito, a busca artísticas foi realizada. As principais preocupações foram as perguntas: Que espaço é este? e Qual seria diferença entre espaço e lugar? Neste sentido a prática e as elaborações conceituais foram feitas. Visando esclarecer alguns pontos, dois artistas - Gordon Matta-Clark (1943 - 1978) e Giovanni Battista Piranesi (1720 - 1778) - foram estudados em seus pontos de atuação, levando em conta o contexto histórico de cada um, procurando similitudes e diferenças entre suas buscas artísticas e a que fiz neste no Quartinho, objeto de estudo aqui apresentado. Um ponto que me pareceu comum às práticas artísticas dos artistas citados, foi a interpretação que cada um fez do espaço tridimensional na bidimensionalidade, sobretudo Gordon Matta-Clark, utilizando a fotografia e Piranesi, e fez uso da gravura e do desenho / Abstract: This papers shows my experience occurred during one year in a small room that was a part of a large house situated in Simpatia Street, Vila Madalena, west of the city of São Paulo. During that period, I produced several works and studied some forms of art such as: photography, computer drawing and observation drawing. I tried different types of digital printing on photographic paper, cotton paper, adhesives and ordinary paper in a variety of colors, weights and sizes. At first my intention was the observation of an empty space and how changes occur in a period of time, in a particular area. For this purpose, I performed my artistic search. My main concerns were: "What place is that?" and "What is the difference between space and place?" Have these questions in mind, I performed the practice and conceptual elaborations. In order to clarify some points, two artists - Gordon Matta-Clark (1943 - 1978) and Giovanni Battista Piranesi (1720 - 1778) - were studied in their points of action, taking into account their historical background, looking for similarities and differences between their pursuits and mine, in the small room, object of the study presented here. Throughout its development, the notion of craftwork is discussed through its articulation with the ideas of work and art. In this sense, the time element was introduced as a reference from which the craft activity is analyzed. To do so, it performs a brief summary on the distinct conceptions of the concept of time along history (step that fulfills the role of evidencing the non-natural disposition of the concerned category), and afterwards, it discusses the role of time in creational process. Having accomplished the dialogue between the guiding theories of this study, this work follows the presentation of the empirical research. Settled in studies of qualitative basis, the research intends to hear what a group of artisans from the city of Juazeiro do Norte – CE has to say about their activities. The responses of the artisans are analyzed through a Sociological Analysis of Speech and an ethnomethodological approach. We conclude emphasizing the existence, in our society, of a great imbalance concerning time experience and assigned value of craftwork. We suggest, thereafter, a reflection able of thinking about our social organization under different parameters than what prevails today. / O presente trabalho versa fundamentalmente sobre duas categorias, quais sejam, tempo e artesanato. Ao longo do seu desenvolvimento, problematiza-se a noção de artesanato por meio de sua articulação com as ideias de trabalho e de arte. Nesse sentido, foi introduzido o elemento temporal como referente a partir do qual a atividade artesanal é analisada. Efetua-se, para tanto, um breve apanhado sobre as distintas concepções do conceito de tempo ao longo da história (etapa que cumpre o papel de evidenciar o caráter não natural da categoria em questão) e em seguida discute-se o papel do tempo no processo de criação. Depois de efetuado o diálogo entre as teorias que norteiam este estudo, parte-se para a apresentação da pesquisa empírica. Ancorada nos estudos de base qualitativa, a pesquisa propõe-se a ouvir o que um grupo de artesãos da cidade de Juazeiro do Norte – CE tem a dizer sobre suas atividades. Por meio da Análise Sociológica do Discurso e de uma aproximação da etnometodologia analisa-se a fala desses artesãos. Concluímos enfatizando a existência, em nossa sociedade, de um enorme desequilíbrio no que diz respeito aos quadros temporais e ao valor atribuído ao trabalho artesanal. Sugere-se, a partir de então, uma reflexão capaz de pensar nossa organização social sob parâmetros diferenciados dos que hoje imperam.

Inicia com o tempo e sua aceleração através do desenvolvimento das tecnologias e também da necessidade do homem de representar o que vê para poder entender o mundo em que vive. Na fotografia, no cinema e na televisão o tempo é representado de maneiras diferentes. Na fotografia, o tempo é passado, o instante capturado pelo fotógrafo. No cinema, o tempo é o da projeção na tela em sala escura que, além do passado do registro pela câmara, simula o tempo real que é sentido pelo espectador. Na televisão, temos o tempo ao vivo das transmissões diretas, o evento acontece, e o espectador o vê ao mesmo tempo em que ele ocorre. This research has the intention to show how the time can be represented in photography, in cinema and in television. It initiates with the time and it‘s acceleration through the development of the technologies and also of the need of man to represent what he sees to be able to understand the world where he lives. In photography, in cinema and in television the time is represented in different ways. In photography, time is on the past, the instant captured by the photographer. In cinema, the time is that of the projection in the screen in dark room that, beyond the past captured by the camera, simulates the real time that is felt by the spectator. In the television, we have the time that is live, the one of the direct transmissions, the event happens and the spectator watch it at the same time that it occurs. The inspiration of this research begun from the idea of two transmissions, which occur simultaneously, in two different means, by satellite and by optical fiber, and the difference of time between those two ways
