Opinion Mining for Song LyricsShu, Hanjie January 2010 (has links)
The thesis presents an opinion mining system for song lyrics, which can fetch objects of interest and opinion words about them. Finally, opinion mining result is analyzed in terms of time information and musical genre. In the process of constructing the system, many previous works are reviewed and some of them are applied to the thesis and different methods are compared for reaching a best solution (e.g. explore how to fetch objects f interest). As well, the evaluation of the system has been done by running experiments with a collection of song lyrics containing hundreds of documents. The result from the system is compared with manual identification. The evaluation result shows that the system basically can present topics of one song lyrics and opinion words about them. Finally, opinion mining result from a collection of song lyrics can be analyzed and some interesting things are presented, e.g. fetching most common topics, presenting the number of polarity words for each musical type or different year, opinion change on some common topics as time changes. Besides, we develop a program in Java for collecting song lyrics on Internet from one website. The program can help us collect thousands of song lyrics and search information of song publishing year or musical genre on Wikipedia.org. The work in opinion mining for song lyrics is few at present. The thesis finishes an exploration in the subject and the exploration is valuable and useful for future wok.

MultiPhase Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generators for Offshore Wind Enegy System : Control of six phase PMSG- six leg converter systemAyehunie, Nahome Alemayehu January 2011 (has links)
The three phase permanent magnet synchronous generator with full scale converter arrangement has gained significant market share in win energy turbine topology. This is because of the advancement in production of superior magnetic properties and steady decline in price of the magnets. Permanent magnet synchronous generators are of compact in size and light in weight. They become attractive for offshore wind application. But offshore wind energy system has to be not only light weight and compact in size but also reliable operation. The majority of failures of wind turbines are the electrical systems. To increase the reliability of the ordinary three phase wind energy system, a six phase wind energy system is proposed: a six phase permanent magnet synchronous connected to six leg converter. To harness the maximum energy from the wind, the viable option is using variable speed wind turbine. Variable speed operation of drive is achieved by suitable control of generator-converter system. This project deals with the design, simulation and implementation vector control of six phase permanent magnet synchronous generator-converter system. Step by step approach is used to tackle the problem. First the dynamic modeling of six phase permanent magnet in different references frames is studied. Then the time average and switching model of a six leg converter is presented. The different modulation technique of six leg converter is studied. Last the design or tuning of control parameters for the speed and current controllers are done. Dc link voltage control design is also done. After having the theoretical base, the majority of the work is done in preparation of laboratory setup, understanding of FPGA platforms and fighting with sporadic practical problem. Finally, it is of great personal success to be able to model, and control in the laboratory a low speed Non Standard Six Phase PMSG having 33.27 degree separations between the phase groups.

An Research on Time Allocation for the On-the-job Master Programme Studetns in the National Sun Yat-sen UniversityTsai, Janice 27 June 2004 (has links)
In Taiwan, people accepting a higher education are increasing day by day, most of the persons who take an advanced study with the graduate schools. In recent years, the implementation of the recurrent education policy, offer to individuals return to school with the chance to receive a higher education. But as to on-the-job master programme students, it makes students' social role tend towards pluralism and complicated. To participate in receiving an education, they must give consideration to the roles, such as family , working and learner ,etc¡K. Effective time allocation to them becomes relatively important.
The purpose of this research lies in understanding that on-the-job master programme students daily activities and time allocation include the sleep, housework, work , child care, sports, prepare lessons, school commute, attend classes ,etc. And understands the conflict state of gain and loss analysis after them start to study in the curriculum of graduate school, and probe into a difference situation change produced by different individuals to analyse the influence main factors of the time allocation and the conflicts.
Probe into the basis of obtaining the theory via documents first in this research, and then adopt questionnaire investigation method , have with National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU) on-the-job master programme class , master class and class of master credit students as the target, total and elect 327 students and carry on the survey as studying samples, get 302 effective questionnaires. The data we use the statistics methodology to carry on quantitative analysis, and discover that, sketches it as follows:
First, the on-the-job student's sample of the master of NSYSU takes the majority with management college , master's class , male , married , with more than one children , full-time-job workers under the age of 40.
Secondly, to sum up that on-the-job students¡¦ time allocation , sleep time is 6.50 hours on average every day, housework spend 1.10 hours, spend 8.71 hours at work, child-bearing is 1.19 hours, sport time spend 0.38 hour, prepare lessons time is 1.62 hours; spend 9.45 hours in classes, and spend 3.93 hours for communication to school per week .
The third, studying in the gain and loss after attending the graduate school, the on-the-job students showing differences about losses in various fields. They think the most loss is the recreation time; secondly is the loss time of family life , the third are personal health and working time , the least loss is the incomes.
The fourth, ¡§time allocation¡¨, ¡§gain and loss¡¨ and ¡§time conflict¡¨ will be different to some extent when changing factors in different backgrounds.

Rotational hysteresis in single domain ferromagnetic particleLu, Chi-Lang 10 July 2000 (has links)
A ferromagnetic particle with single domain, at some
kinds of applied field (at some angle or strangth), the
particle's free energy would be two state model. The
rate of barrier crossing could be solve by Fokker-Planck
equation .And use master equation to find out the Total
rate between two potential well.
In this thysis, we use the upper method to simulate
particle's magnetic moment under time varying magnetic
field at fixed angle or fixed magnetic applied rotate
the particle.
In numerical method, we use the back Euler method
to prevent the divergence of the calculation.

Studies of polarization-independent Fresnel liquid crystal lensHuang, Shian-Yi 24 July 2008 (has links)
This study proposes a polarization-independent liquid-crystal Fresnel lens using the twisted nematic liquid crystal (TN-LC). At the high voltage state, the TN-LC behaves as an optically anisotropic material which makes the proposed LC Fresnel lens possess a polarization-insensitive characteristic. Two kinds of LC Fresnel lens, photoresist type and patterned electrodes type, are prepared in our experiment. Experimental results reveal that the photoresist type has a high diffraction efficiency and a good polarization-independent characteristic. However, its diffraction efficiency cannot be switched off. Contrarily, the patterned electrode type has the characteristics of the switch-off and good polarization-independent with a moderate diffraction efficiency
