Obrábění těžkoobrobitelných materiálů / Machining of hard-to-machine materials

Varhaník, Matúš January 2018 (has links)
General perspective of this diploma thesis was aimed at machining of hard-to-machine materials. Theoretical part contains division and specification of these types of materials. Ways of classification and evaluation were also listed. Causes of worsened machinability were defined with the design of possible technological solutions, which eliminates these features. The main target of experimental part was turning nickel-based superalloy Inconel® 718 with the purpose of increase process productivity. Knowledge about appropriate types of cutting tool material and his coating were necessary for process optimization. It was achieved by replacing reference cutting tool material (coated carbide inserts) with SiAlON ceramic. Cutting tool edge was tested with an intention to discover appropriate deal between tool life and volume of material removed. Measured cutting forces, generated by machining of reference and optimize technology, were processed by using simulation software. Total deformation of workpiece material was statistically evaluated. The conclusion of diploma thesis is technical-economic evaluation of both options.

Industrializace a vývoj obrábění v oblasti výroby jaderných komponent / Industrialization and Development of Machining in Nuclear Components Manufacturing

Kolmačka, Jan January 2019 (has links)

Tool Life Characterization in Refill Friction Stir Spot Welding

Belnap, Ruth Guadalupe 20 June 2024 (has links) (PDF)
As light-weighting becomes a priority for the automotive industry, refill friction stir spot welding emerges with enormous potential to supplement or replace conventional spot joining processes. This thesis addresses the limitations of current tooling options by examining materials beyond steel for use in RFSSW. Contained herein is an analysis of weld quality as a function of tool material, a production evaluation of RFSSW using various tool materials, and an assessment of long-term performance of a tungsten carbide tool. Over the course of this research, tungsten carbide emerged as a viable candidate for long-lasting RFSSW tooling.

Integrace metody "párování materiálu nástroje a obrobku" a monitorování obrábění pro optimalizaci výrobních nákladů / Integration of the “tool-material pair method” and monitoring of machining for optimization of production costs

Cahen, Guillaume January 2016 (has links)
This master thesis work concerns monitoring implementing methods on cutting operations for high cost part in the aeronautics and space fields. The final goal is to set tools to support industrial implementing but even more sustain acknowledgments and methods beyond the mission. This mission covers both a technical and a project management issue with related human factors. In this report, the following axis will be developed: • Monitoring on cutting operations stat of the Art. • The developed simulation function to secure monitoring. • Technical modifications at Numerical Command (NC) programming level and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) level to obtain a simplified use of monitoring and reach the targeted production functioning. • The obtained results and expectations.

Obrábění těžkoobrobitelných materiálů soustružením / Machining of hard-to-machine materials by turning

Švorc, Josef January 2019 (has links)
The thesis is focused on machining of hard-to-machine materials. In the theoretical part hard-to-machine materials are divided and characterized. Furthermore, the thesis specifies hardened steels and their heat treatment, machinability and mechanism of wear and chip formation. There are tool materials and their classes suitable for machining hardened steels. The practical part deals with the influence of the cutting conditions on the roughness of the machined surface when turning hardened steel.

Zvýšení produktivity a kvality vybraných vyráběných dílů / On the increase of productivity and quality of selected manufactured parts

Siclon, Léonard January 2011 (has links)
This document is about the work conducted during four months in the company Poclain Hydraulics. The aim was to improve the productivity of the turning operation on the cams MK04, in a factory environment but with the support of a laboratory. Was also in mind to improve the quality of the part and diminish or eliminate the unbroken chips. In that purpose the trajectories have been analyzed and modified, the cutting conditions studied and adapted, some tool changed, etc. The final result was an improvement of productivity to 140%, an amelioration of the chip breaking and of the part’s quality, leading to significant savings on the process.

Nástroj pro modelování a simulaci technologických procesů / Tool for Modelling and Simulation of Technologic Processes

Skydánek, Libor January 2009 (has links)
This thesis focuses on the problem of technological process modelling and simulation. It is based on the realistic requirements of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, where they lacked an extensible and open simulation tool with the ability to model biomass processing. In this work we explain the main concepts in the field of (physical) chemistry, the systematic approach to process modelling and simulation and we discuss various problems of simulation methods. We also describe the differences between simulation and design specifications and give reasons for choosing the sequential modular approach. An important part of the work is aimed at the design of the simulation tool's architecture, where the main emphasis is laid on the extensibility of future application. The tool has been implemented and it is now sucessfully being used at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.
