Dekasegis, descendientes de japoneses retornando a la tierra de sus ancestros: procesos aculturativos e identitarios de los migrantes nikkei peruanos en el Japón (1990 - 2000)

Los objetivos de esta investigación fueron describir y analizar los efectos psicosociales en la identidad de los peruano japoneses a partir de su experiencia como dekasegis durante el período de la década de 1990 - 2000. Para esto, se llevó a cabo un estudio de naturaleza cualitativa, con enfoque temático, en el que se realizaron entrevistas individuales semiestructuradas. Se entrevistó a ocho personas (cuatro mujeres y cuatro hombres) con nacionalidad peruana y ascendencia japonesa, que hayan sido dekasegi dentro de dicha década. En cuanto a los resultados, estos fueron presentados y discutidos desde los dos ejes de la investigación: 1) Motivos y razones de la migración; y 2) el proceso de aculturación en la sociedad japonesa y su relación con los procesos identitarios. Los hallazgos indican que los participantes reivindican su identidad peruana con emociones y autorrepresentaciones positivas a partir de su experiencia migratoria. / The objectives of this research were to describe and analyze the psychosocial effects on the identity of the Peruvian Japanese from their experience as dekasegis during the period of the 1990s - 2000s. To assess these effects, a qualitative study was conducted, with a thematic approach, in which semi-structured individual interviews were carried out. Eight people (four women and four men) with Peruvian nationality and Japanese descent, who had been dekasegi within the previously defined decade, were interviewed. Analysis of the interview content is presented according to the two objectives of the investigation: 1) Motives and reasons for migration and 2) the acculturation process in Japanese society and its relationship with identity processes. The findings indicate that participants affirm their Peruvian identity with positive emotions and self-representations based on their migratory experience.
