Many pedagogical coordinators assume this function, even when they lack specific knowledge on the area. Therefore, training and education to qualify their actions have become a great need. The theme of this dissertation refers to the education and training of the professionals who educate and train teachers: the pedagogical coordinator. The specific objectives are: to present a brief history of teachers education in Brazil and the role played by pedagogical coordinators in this field; to investigate conditions to improve their education and training; to contribute to an educational system that plans actions to support their work. In order to achieve these aims, the research has been bibliographical (to establish a theoretical support), documental (to understand the history of teachers education and training in the chosen city) and has involved data collection, through interviews and questionnaires. The research subjects were pedagogical coordinators of ENSINO FUNDAMENTAL I in the city of Santo André - SP, who held this position in 2012 and the City's Education Director in 2013. The results show that continuous education is essential to the pedagogical coordinators professional development, since they are in charge of teachers education and training. The dissertation analyses characteristics that the education and training of pedagogical coordinators could have and the contents needed for this development, such as strategies of coordinators education and training, the guarantee of practical appliance of theoretical contents, later thinking, the exchange of knowledge between colleagues, homology of processes, among other elements which favor pedagogical coordinators education and training / Esta pesquisa de natureza qualitativa tem como problema central investigar a importância da formação do coordenador pedagógico aliada à inquietação: em que condições a formação pode ser oferecida para contribuir na atuação desse gestor? Muitos coordenadores pedagógicos assumem esta função, mesmo sem conhecimento específico sobre como formar professores e necessitam de formação para qualificar suas ações. O tema dessa pesquisa de mestrado refere-se à formação do formador de professores: o coordenador pedagógico. Apresenta como objetivos específicos: resgatar um breve histórico sobre a formação de professores no Brasil, compreender a função do coordenador pedagógico para a formação dos professores, investigar condições para sua formação e contribuir com sistema de ensino, visando o planejamento de ações para a formação do coordenador pedagógico. Para alcançar os objetivos propostos, foram realizadas pesquisas bibliográficas para a apresentação do embasamento teórico, pesquisa documental para levantamento do histórico de formação do município pesquisado e coleta de dados por entrevistas e questionários. Os sujeitos da pesquisa foram coordenadores pedagógicos do Ensino Fundamental I do município de Santo André SP, atuantes nesta função em 2012 e o diretor de educação do município em 2013. Os resultados obtidos apresentam a formação continuada como essência para o desenvolvimento profissional do coordenador pedagógico, que atua na sua função como formador de professores. Esta pesquisa aponta características que a formação dos coordenadores pode apresentar para contribuir com sua função e os conteúdos necessários para o trabalho em formação, como as estratégias formativas dos coordenadores, a garantia da aplicação na prática dos conteúdos formativos, para reflexão posterior, a troca entre os parceiros, homologia de processos, entre outros elementos que favorecem a formação em serviço do coordenador pedagógico

Research in training and development at organisations has produced important results in the previous two decades. The results indicate that higher motivation and satisfaction levels of employees are the result of training and development effectiveness with relation to work and employees’ productivity. The aim and purpose of the study was to investigate the effectiveness of training and development in enhancing organisational productivity. The researcher wanted to determine whether training and development did in fact enhance the productivity of employees. A non-probability sampling method was employed when conducting the research. The research methods used were a combination of observations, a questionnaire, a workshop, a survey and interviews with participants. A qualitative research approach guided this process in order to accomplish the aim and purpose of the study and was based on data collection and analysis of information, documents and interviews to determine training and development for performance improvement. / Human Resources Development / NM. The relationship between learning potential, English language proficiency and work-related training test results

Continuous change and competition in the working environment necessitate increased efficiency and productivity which require different and enhanced skills and abilities. It is therefore important that the right people with the right skills are selected and employees are developed to enable them to meet the organisational and national demands of the future. This dissertation investigates the relationship between learning potential, English language proficiency and work-related training test results to establish why some production employees perform better on work-related training test results than others. The results indicate that there is no significant relationship between the work-related training test results and either learning potential or English language proficiency. There is, however, a significant correlation between learning potential and English language proficiency. It might be worthwhile exploring the availability and adequacy of assessors as well as the motivational level of the production employees as factors that influence the progress made with work-related training test results. / Industrial and Organisational Psychology / MCOM (Industrial Psychology)

Title: The analysis of competitors' physical preparation OCR (Obstacle Course Racing). Objectives: The aim of this thesis was to provide the analysis of physical preparation used by the competitors of the obstacle course races. The analysis was completed for all major competitor ability-based classes and then compared among the categories. Methods: For data collection quantitative research was used, provided by the survey method. Its form was an online questionnaire. Results: The research has shown that the competitors of the enthusiast class - recreational athletes mostly value the experience and the adrenalin the obstacle course races bring them, overcoming own maximum, looking for new challenges etc. Those are the type of athletes who do not have high performance expectations, they are not oriented to perform at their highest of abilities. Although, they are still capable of winning. They win over themselves, happy when they manage to overcome own fears. They consider as winning not only expanding own physical and mental capacities, but also just the actual finishing of the race. Performance athletes, compared to the recreational ones, are able to plan their training sessions much more effectively and with better training goals.
