”Vi går ju in och skyddar ett barn när vi placerar” - En kvalitativ studie om upplevda försvårande och underlättande faktorer vid LVU-placeringar

Nassef, Dawud January 2020 (has links)
The study's ambition is to investigate which factors make it more difficult and easier in an investigation process linked to investments based on Law (1990: 52) with special provisions on the care of children. The aim is also to highlight how children and parents are affected by an investigation where forced placement is relevant based on the experiences of social workers. A qualitative approach from a phenomenological perspective provides a rich material and increased understanding of social workers' experiences in the investigation process. To reach the knowledge that social workers possess based on their own world of life and perception, semi-structured interviews have been used. The results show that there are structural challenges during forced placement that make social work more difficult for children and affect children and parents. Further results show that there are several factors that make it more difficult for an investigation where forced placement is relevant for the child.
