DIGITAL RECORDING SYSTEMS FOR UNDERGROUND NUCLEAR TEST DATA

Bryars, John, Smith, Gregory S. 10 1900 (has links)
International Telemetering Conference Proceedings / October 26-29, 1992 / Town and Country Hotel and Convention Center, San Diego, California / A Digital Output Recorder (DOR) system was developed by JAYCOR under contract to Defense Nuclear Agency (DNA) for the recording of high-speed digital data from test hardware exposed to radiation during an Underground Nuclear Test conducted at the Nevada Test Site (NTS) in 1991. Electronics hardware for the system is based on the well-supported Versa Module Europe (VME) bus which has become an industry standard for digital process and control systems. The system collects, identifies, and telemeters the data from several interfaces using the VME bus to a common data collection point above ground. The system was designed with built-in flexibility and expandability to meet digital data recording requirements on future underground tests (UGTs).

The “Modi Effect”: Investigating the Effect of Demonetization on Currency Demand and the Size of the Underground Economy in India

Sankaran, Sanjana 01 January 2017 (has links)
Demonetization is an economic tool used to reduce the size of an underground economy. Though studies on the effectiveness of demonetization have increased over the past 50 years, there is little literature on the ineffectiveness of demonetization and subsequent factors that could explain a lack of change, or an increase, in illegal activity. This paper examines past cases of demonetization to determine the effectiveness of demonetization, and investigates the incentive for foreign currency substitution as a mechanism for criminals to circumvent regulatory scrutiny. Major findings of this paper include a positive but statistically insignificant correlation between demonetization and growth in the shadow economy, and a statistically significant positive relationship between exchange rate appreciation and demonetization. Finally, this paper applies these findings to test the “Modi effect” of Indian Rupee (INR) demonetization.

Podoby české undergroundové scény / Forms of the Czech underground scene

Šulcová, Andrea January 2015 (has links)
Resumé The diploma thesis is dedicated to the forms of the Czech underground scene on the basis of the analysis of two samizdat literary journals - Vokno (1979-1989) and Revolver Revue (1985-1989). The thesis studies analogous and distinct tendencies in both magazines which became the platforms of the different underground generations. Vokno is connected with the first underground generation that was formed at the beginning of the 1970s. The second underground generation debuted at beginning of the 1980s and later united around the Revolver Revue magazine. The next part of the diploma thesis focuses on the symptomatic features of the poetics of four central writers that shaped the appearance of the journals. The analysis arises from the texts published in both Vokno and Revolver Revue magazines.

Beredning av distributionsnät Myren-Torseröd i Tanum / Preparation of distribution grid between Myren-Torseröd

Andersson, Christoffer, Andersson, Pontus January 2016 (has links)
This report will focused on how the preparatory work between Myren-Torseröd in Tanum will proceed.
