The research project Afforestation implement on public streets, phenology, physical and social aspects suggests a sustainability model in urban forestry. It was deployed on Dr. Vital Brasil Avenue, in Botucatu city, São Paulo, Brazil. The project was divided in three parts that complement themselves in the process of planning and implantation, named as phenological, locational and social aspects. The specie Jacaranda mimosaefolia was planted in the flower-bed of the avenue and the specie Tibouchina mutabilis on the sidewalks. For the phenological aspects, it was used an industrial residue, substituting the calcareous dolomitic, and the sewage sludge residue, an urban residue, instead of the cattle manure. For choosing the species and the place of planting, it was used a specific methodology, combining the work of students coursing the subject Urban Afforestation at the Agronomy College, UNESP University, in Botucatu. The involvement of the local community and the government was very important for the achievement and success of the project. As a phenological result, it was confirmed that it is possible to substitute the organic fertilizer for urban and industrial residues. The project had good results on the seedling plantation, in which the results showed that it is very important to have a preview local study and community involvement

A stone memorial park : a temporal quarryscape in Lei Yue MunYeung, Man-chin, 楊文展 January 2012 (has links)
This thesis is mainly about how we read city as whole. City is a simple word with
extremely complex information that interacts to each other. City is where we live.
Though this thesis will not be in touch with some deeper topics about city, we can
still read city in an unusual way. And this is the purpose for this thesis. / published_or_final_version / Architecture / Master / Master of Landscape Architecture
