Objetivou-se analisar as transformações do uso e cobertura da terra entre os anos de 1975 a 2015 através das mudanças produzidas pelo homem; apresentar as áreas de preservação permanente dos canais fluviais da bacia hidrográfica; identificar os problemas ambientais; e, por fim, apresentar propostas para atenuar os problemas ambientais. Utilizou metodologicamente a aplicação das tecnologias da informação através do sensoriamento remoto e demais levantamento de dados e informações, produção e (re) elaboração de mapas e cartas, confecção de tabelas, sistematização e agrupamento de elementos do uso e cobertura da terra. As análises e resultados identificaram a diminuição das áreas de vegetação, aumento da área urbana, mudança do uso da pecuária para a agricultura extensiva, os problemas ambientais identificados atualmente, as propriedades que estão se inseridas no Cadastro Ambiental Rural, bem como as propostas mitigadoras visando a conservação e preservação ambiental da bacia hidrográfica do Ribeirão Taquaruçu. Dessa forma, as transformações na paisagem contribuem com subsídios para o planejamento ambiental e gestão das águas. / Research summary is continuity to the undergraduate studies conducted in the watershed of Ribeirão Taquaruçu, located in Pontal of Paranapanema, São Paulo State, to subsidize the environmental planning and management of water. The objective was to analyze the transformations of land use and land cover between 1975 and 2015 through the changes produced by man; present the permanent preservation areas of the river channels of the river basin; identify environmental problems; and, finally, to present proposals to mitigate environmental problems. It used methodologically the application of information technologies through remote sensing and other data collection and information, production and (re) elaboration of maps and charts, preparation of tables, systematization and grouping of elements of land use and coverage. The analyzes and results identified the reduction of vegetation areas, increase of the urban area, change in the use of livestock for extensive agriculture, the environmental problems currently identified, the properties that are inserted in the Rural Environmental Register, as well as the mitigating proposals aimed at The conservation and environmental preservation of the river basin. In this way, the transformations in the landscape contribute with subsidies for environmental planning and water management.
