Kultūros paveldo statinio virtuali trimatė rekonstrukcija / The virtual tridimentional reconstruction of the building of cultural inheritance

Zabulytė, Renata 30 May 2005 (has links)
The objective of the work is to make the virtual tridimentional reconstruction of the building of cultural inheritance. The virtual model of the real object will help the visitors of the museum to familiarize with lost or dilapidated objects of cultural inheritance and will be utilized for student’s education. The Department of Cultural Values is interested in virtual reconstruction of objects of cultural inheritance, which can lead to decisions such as, is it worth for the restorer to project a real restoration of the object, what is the most appropriate material, and how much will it cost. The object of cultural inheritance, for which the model was created, is the fetch house of Muriliskes, owed by San Petersburg (not far from Zarasai). The virtual model allows us to view the object from different sides and to make a journey around this complex. We are using: personal computer, the operational system Windows 9X/ME/2000/XP, Internet Explorer 5,0 version or higher, adapter, for example, The virtual model Cortona Client was made by using Archicad programmable package and VRML computerese.

Um estudo de utilização de equipamentos de realidade virtual imersiva associados a um sistema de apoio no ensino de poliedros convexos / A study on the use of equipaments of immersive virtual reality associated to a suport system in the teaching of convex polyhedron

Bergamaschi, Marcelo Pereira 30 August 2005 (has links)
The objective of this study is to demonstrate the potentiality of Immersive Virtual Reality (IVR) techniques in computer based teaching/learning process, through the development of virtual educational environments. This research aimed at providing a human-machine form of interaction that would be more familiar and motivating for the user in the context where it took place. This work has as its main objectives: 1) to identify specific devices which better support the development of an educational and immersive virtual environment and 2) to investigate IVR techniques that allow a more natural and intuitive interaction between the user and his study objetc. To evaluate the proposed techniques, a prototype system was developed as a case study, which permitted the user to visualize and interact with the polyhedron surfaces inside a virtual environment making cuts in these surfaces through plans. To reach the interaction proposed in this system, this research identified the need to integrate VRML language and JavaScript in order to explore the positive aspects of both languages and reach the proposed level of interaction. After making the system available to potential users, they were able to do some experiments and confirmed that the techniques proposed are satisfactory and helpful in the learning process and in the visualization of surfaces from 3D cuts, thanks to the IVR proposed techniques.

Realizace simulační úlohy s prvky virtuální reality / Realization of a Simulator with Elements of Virtual Reality

Šimčík, Patrik January 2018 (has links)
This work deals with the design and realization of a task with the elements of virtual reality, namely the simulation task for driving a vehicle. As a programming tool, Matlab/Simulink is used. The aim of the thesis is to create a simple simulator for the purposes of measuring the driver's response to standard stimuli and the description and evaluation of the driver-vehicle interaction. The individual chapters describe the VRML language, the Matlab/Simulink 3D Animation Library and cooperation with the blocks in this library. The realization of this work is the description and modification of the 3D model of the vehicle used for this purpose, as well as the description and construction of the dynamic model for driving the vehicle with subsequent implementation in the form of a vehicle simulator in the Matlab/Simulink environment. The conclusion of the work is to verify the functionality of the management simulator with the possibility of data recording.

Towards a definition of virtual objects with Partial Differential Equations

Ugail, Hassan, Sourin, A., Sourina, O., Gonzalez Castro, Gabriela January 2009 (has links)
No / We propose an efficient alternative to commonly used parametric surfaces such as NURBS surfaces for definition of complex geometry in shared virtual spaces. Our mathematical model allows to define objects by only providing coordinates of the section curves in 3-space. The resulting parametric functions allow fast calculation of the coordinates of the points on the surface of the objects. We devise an algorithm which evaluates the coefficients of these functions in real time. Given the small size of the resulting formulas and interactive rates for their calculation, we are able to efficiently use such PDE-based models for making virtual objects in shared virtual spaces. We describe the modeling framework and illustrate the proposed theoretical concepts with our function-based extension of VRML and X3D.
