82	Místo ve středu města? Brno – Lokalita Veveří - Žerotínovo náměstí / Inventure of the City Center ? Brno – Veveří – Žerotínovo náměstí Holá, Martina January 2014 (has links) The main subject of the thesis is a revision of current area framing northwest part of Žerotín Square, that nowadays consists of so called White house (center for children health care and a seat of a medical school). The design is based on theoretical situation concerning the removal of White house and therefore it uses the newly existing place as a subject for new architectural solution. The solution emphasizes the completion of current block of buildings with large courtyard and corner between Žerotín Square and Veveří street, which is very important for traffic. The thesis is focusing on finding the right form, scale and functional content which would reflect the importance of the location, especially focusing on the Brno’s ring road that goes directly to Denisovy sady and accessibility of this city’s part. It also respects the design of the back side of the Red Church. The design uses the newly existing place as a location for new apartment building that reflects the scale of similar buildings in Marešov and other nearby streets and it also proposes administration building as an architectural solution for this location, which would be used as a seat for both municipal and national institutions.
83	Středoevropské forum Olomouc / Olomouc Central European Forum Kašpárková, Eliška January 2015 (has links) The presented diploma thesis was elaborated as an architectural study of a Central European Forum in Olomouc (SEFO). Campus SEFO will be created as an reconstruction of the Museum of Modern Art (MUO) in Denis street and building in a neighboring vacant lot. The proposal involves urban, architectural, operational layout, design and material solutions objects in spatial context. Within SEFO and MUO they are created each operation - stand-alone units. Objects SEFO and MUO are interconnected. It is necessary to respect the separation of publicly accessible areas of compartments accessible only by employees. Architectural study includes space for exhibitions, library, multi-purpose space with facilities, vestibule usable for exhibition openings and other cultural activities, chamber music performances, as well as facilities for education, technological facilities of the building, the depositary (transport and central), photo studio restoration studio, office space, locker rooms and restrooms personnel. SEFO specific aim of capturing the diverse manifestations of visual culture of Central Europe after World War 2, the building's permanent exhibition, acquisition activity, temporary exhibitions, including larger medium-shows (eg. 84	Veřejná prostranství města Brna - teoretická práce / Public spaces of the city of Brno - theoretical work Lelkes, Ivana January 2015 (has links) Master´s thesis adresses the issue of public spaces of inner city of Brno. These spaces have good prerequisities to become attractive places for everyday use or for spending a good free time. These prerequsities include for example compact city structure, well defined public spaces, walking city distances, presence of public and commercial facilities and distinctive genius loci. But public spaces in these localities often do not fulfill their own potential and stay as average free space inbetween buildings. Thesis suggests a detailed system for categorisation of squares and streets in the inner city of Brno and examines the reasons for potential non-fulfillment on these typologies, it tries to find out the problems of public spaces and how they can be solved.

Very little relates the two chapters apart from the ligands. The first chapter addresses diastereoselective homogeneous copper catalyzed cyclopropanation reactions. Cyclopropanation of styrene and ethyl diazoacetate (EDA) is a standard test reaction for homogeneous catalysts. Sterically bulky salicylaldimine (SAL) ligands should select for the ethyl trans-2-phenylcyclopropanecarboxylate diastereomer. Steric bulk poorly influences trans:cis ratios. Salicylaldiminine ligands do not posses the correct symmetry to affect diastereoselectivity. The SAL ligand belongs to the Cs point group in the solid state. Other ligand motifs are more effective at altering the trans:cis ratios. The second chapter addresses the general route toward successful copper(II) ethylene polymerization catalysts. Catalytic activity of the copper(II) complexes is very low. Polymer chain growth from a copper catalyst is very unlikely. Copper-carbon bonds decompose by homolytic cleavage or C-H activation.
