The master’s thesis focuses on three selected films by a Dutch filmmaker Marleen Gorris (A Question of Silence [De stilte rond Christine M.], Antonia, and Mrs. Dalloway). The text examines the way the film female characters are depicted, their relationship to the patriarchal society they live in and the forms of their possible resistance to a given social order. An ideological analysis used for that purpose enables to explore both values, beliefs or prejudices of a certain content, as well as motivation and power relationships the content is based on.

A pharmacist is also very often the last link in the chain of healthcare professionals involved in the treatment of a patient and thus has a unique opportunity to detect any potential errors or risk of a given therapy. Regarding the self- medication, the pharmacist is often the only person, with whom the patient consults his therapy. Objective: The aim of this thesis is to analyse dispensing activities provided by pharmacies in Hradec Kralove. Methodology: Analysis of a dispensing activity of a prescription-only drug and over-the- counter product. The list of pharmacies was identified through the SÚKL database. The data collected during the visits were from the 32 pharmacies in total. The data collection tool was mystery shopping that followed thoroughly prepared scenario. The aim of this thesis is to introduce the concept of cross-language mediation, which is well established in some countries abroad but is not widely used in the Czech environment, from various points of view. The work tries to show that cross-language mediation is an engaging, effective and interesting activity preparing the learners for real-life mediating situations employing both mother tongue and English. The work is enriching for its battery of mediation activities designed for the Czech context, mediation assessment criteria and a survey among Czech and foreign teachers summarizing their attitude towards mediation and its role in EFL lessons. - The Issue of Pre-trail Detention in Criminal Procedure This diploma thesis deals with the problems of pre-trail detention. The issue of pre-trail detention is a current and widely discussed topic due to two main reasons. First is the very nature of pre-trail detention as a means of procedural criminal law, with which the law most intensely interferes with the personal freedom of the individual. The second reason is its development and anchoring in the Czech legal system. Pre-trial detention has very specific characteristics because it interferes with personal freedom of an individual whose guilt has not been determined by the court. Consequently, there is a conflict between the human right to personal freedom and the need for the state to ensure the proper conduct of criminal proceedings and investigation. The thesis is divided into seven chapters. The first chapter deals with the concept of criminal detention itself and its role in criminal proceedings. The next chapter is dedicated to the development of the law of detention from 1873 to the present. The historical overview of the legal regulation of pre-trail detention is important for the understanding and interpretation of its perception today, and shows a gradual increase in the level of protection of human rights. (Mistake in civil law) The submitted diploma thesis deals with the problematic of mistake in civil law as a form of vitiated consent. Pivotal provisions are present in § 583-585 of the act No. 89/2012 Coll., civil law. In the introduction of the thesis we can find general issues of legal action, with more detailed description of will, its characteristics, manifestation of the will and their relation to each other, as these essentials of legal actions are instrumental for the purpose of this thesis. Next chapter focuses on the main issue, mistake as it defines it in two separate ways, that is discrepancy between the genuine will of the acting person and manifestation of the will, secondly as a defect of the will. Main focus of the thesis lies within the latter case, discrepancy between genuine will of the acting person is only mentioned briefly. Afterwards the thesis focuses on different types of mistake as corresponding to the provisions in the act No. 89/2012 Coll., civil law. Special focus is put on the term decisive circumstance, necessity of participation of other party and excusable mistake, as well as extract about the mistake induced by deception. The diploma thesis deals with an interpretation of a scenic movie environment in eighties of the twentieth century. In the beginning, I tried to recognize the cultural and historical context of the eighties that introduce us to the optical perception of this time. For a full picture serves listing movie frames with typical visual representation of these years. Particular attention is given to four feature films that could serve as a scenic genotype, which can be applied in the design of movie scenes of post normalization Prague environment. The greatest extent of the thesis is devoted to the performing processing of screenplay "Wenceslas Square" by Christopher Marcus and Stephen MrFreely, which was created by the story of Arthur Philipse. It is an unconventional love story, set in Prague in the eighties of the twentieth century and ending with "Velvet Revolution", over which no one of the protagonists is enthusiastic. Attached is a draft screenplay point of each scene, including indicative floor plans and reference photos.
