Automated retrieval and extraction of training course information from unstructured web pages

Xhemali, Daniela January 2010 (has links)
Web Information Extraction (WIE) is the discipline dealing with the discovery, processing and extraction of specific pieces of information from semi-structured or unstructured web pages. The World Wide Web comprises billions of web pages and there is much need for systems that will locate, extract and integrate the acquired knowledge into organisations practices. There are some commercial, automated web extraction software packages, however their success comes from heavily involving their users in the process of finding the relevant web pages, preparing the system to recognise items of interest on these pages and manually dealing with the evaluation and storage of the extracted results. This research has explored WIE, specifically with regard to the automation of the extraction and validation of online training information. The work also includes research and development in the area of automated Web Information Retrieval (WIR), more specifically in Web Searching (or Crawling) and Web Classification. Different technologies were considered, however after much consideration, Naïve Bayes Networks were chosen as the most suitable for the development of the classification system. The extraction part of the system used Genetic Programming (GP) for the generation of web extraction solutions. Specifically, GP was used to evolve Regular Expressions, which were then used to extract specific training course information from the web such as: course names, prices, dates and locations. The experimental results indicate that all three aspects of this research perform very well, with the Web Crawler outperforming existing crawling systems, the Web Classifier performing with an accuracy of over 95% and a precision of over 98%, and the Web Extractor achieving an accuracy of over 94% for the extraction of course titles and an accuracy of just under 67% for the extraction of other course attributes such as dates, prices and locations. Furthermore, the overall work is of great significance to the sponsoring company, as it simplifies and improves the existing time-consuming, labour-intensive and error-prone manual techniques, as will be discussed in this thesis. The prototype developed in this research works in the background and requires very little, often no, human assistance.

Problémy trestního soudnictví nad mládeží / The issues of juvenile criminal justice

Vincík, David January 2018 (has links)
This diploma thesis The issues of juvenile criminal justice focuses on the area of juvenile criminal law which is a specific area of criminal law due to a necessity of a particular attitude towards youth. The legal regulation of the juvenile criminal law is incorporated particularly in ActNo. 218/2003 Coll. on the Responsibility of Juveniles for illegal Acts and on the Justice of Youth. Within the theme, the work seeks to capture especially the deviations that are special for the juvenile criminal law as opposed to the criminal law of adult offenders and to present a comprehensive overview of criminal justice over youth. The most extensive part of the thesis deals with the juvenile proceedings, attention is also paid to the substantive aspects of the juvenile criminal law and a considerable part discusses the proceedings in the affairs of children under fifteen. The introductory chapter defines the basic concepts as applied by the Act on the Justice of Youth, especiallyterminologically definesthose that are subject to special treatment. The following two chapters give an overview of the criminological aspects of juvenile delinquency and also outline the development of the legal regulation of juvenile justice in the Czech lands and present the form of the current legal regulation including its...

Chov a využití zvířat ve výuce v pražských základních školách / The popularity of having animals in Prague primary schools

Jirásková, Veronika January 2019 (has links)
This thesis deals with the subject of keeping and using animals in primary schools. The theoretical part of this thesis reviews various scientific studies into the impact of animals on pupils during education and the possible benefits of animal breeding in schools. Furthermore, the conditions for safe breeding and the most frequently kept animals in schools are discussed as well as the risks and difficulties that their breeding and daily maintenance brings. Moreover, it discusses the need to evaluate the welfare of school animals and legislative precautions on the subject in the Czech Republic. The practical part of this thesis details investigations into the number of Prague primary schools where animals were kept in the school year 2017/2018. Through interviewing a representative sample of schools, it was found that 37 % of Prague's primary schools kept an animal. Furthermore, the different species of animals kept in the schools, their location within the schools, the person bearing responsibility for the animals and the usage and the frequency of it within the curriculum were studied. It was found that 52 % of teachers do not use the school animal more often than once a month. Another subject of the research was to find out the reasons for the absence of animals in schools; 92 % of respondents...

The conditioning preparation of a modern player in top football is an essential part for his excellent sporting performance. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on conditioning preparation of the player in football, his motor skills and abilities. The thesis focuses in detail on very important skills in this sport, such as speed and speed endurance. The practical part will deal with collecting the speed data of the football player. These data will be processed in both factual and statistical terms. The aim of the research will be the evaluation of the measured data. The results will be compared between the autumn and spring parts of the league, depending on the player's performance. Player data will also be compared with another player on the same position. The conclusion of the thesis is to point out that speed is often a decisive factor in many football situations, and to confirm that while improving the speed abilities, the performance of the player will also increase parallelly.

Mannic, Tiphaine 29 October 2009 (has links) (PDF)

Valente, Sylvie 20 December 2012 (has links)

Sidibe, Adama 14 December 2012 (has links) (PDF)
