Conhecimento do enfermeiro sobre as a??es de vigil?ncia epidemiol?gica no Hospital Universit?rio Onofre Lopes, Natal, RN

Ribeiro, Luciana Melo 07 October 2010 (has links)
Made available in DSpace on 2014-12-17T14:46:47Z (GMT). No. of bitstreams: 1 LucianaMR_DISSERT.pdf: 3077063 bytes, checksum: 33dba30f3f983ca2c3893ca88edc953a (MD5) Previous issue date: 2010-10-07 / This is an exploratory descriptive study with quantitative approach, aiming to verify the nurses' knowledge concerning the epidemiological surveillance activities at the Onofre Lopes hospital (HUOL), in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte. The study was performed with 63 nurses from the hospital and the data were collected through a questionnaire. All data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results were discussed and organized into four sections: nurses' knowledge on hospital epidemiological surveillance; procedures of the professional nurse through compulsory notification diseases; difficulties found by nurses to register the compulsory notification diseases and suggestions of strategies to joint epidemiological surveillance service with the care practices of nurses. The results showed that 55.55% of nurses know the main action of epidemiological surveillance, compulsory notification of diseases, and that 42.86% reported to the Hospital Epidemiology Center , while 57.14% did not allocate the information for this service. Most nurses found it difficult to perform notification for not knowing its flow; for the surveillance service does not operate 24 hours and for vagueness on diagnostic of disorders. Suggestions of strategies to improve the quality of epidemiological information are focused on training of nurses in hospital epidemiological surveillance; working in partnership with the surveillance center; diffusion of information on surveillance and conducting a daily active search. It comes to conclusion that most nurses don't notify the Surveillance Center about Compulsory Notification Diseases and it wasn't observed the incorporation of integrality values between the hospital surveillance and all nurses, since this principle guides the actions of health services based on dialogue, listening, ethical commitment, sharing of knowledge among professionals of various services and respect towards other professionals. Therefore, the integrality gap in the actions of the nurses studied, as well as in the surveillance service does not mobilize the potential of such services to changes in the sense of achievement of practices aimed at a special attention model that combines preventive and corrective actions, proposed and desired by SUS. Through the difficulties presented, it becomes important to recommend educational processes with strategy to transform the conducts, besides proposing actions under the principle of integrality provide responses agile and effective, as the purpose of VE hospital emergency care by the current epidemic / Trata-se de um estudo descritivo explorat?rio com abordagem quantitativa, com objetivo de verificar o conhecimento dos enfermeiros sobre as a??es de vigil?ncia epidemiol?gica no Hospital Universit?rio Onofre Lopes (HUOL), no Munic?pio de Natal, Estado do Rio Grande do Norte.

No. of bitstreams: 1 AlineCMM_DISSERT.pdf: 1984168 bytes, checksum: cdfabc6da5b0a2c127bfdcc6151e09a1 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2010-10-08 / The Hospital Epidemiology Nucleus (NHE) is a structure that has a specific organizational climate, which influence the level of job satisfaction among professionals working in it. This is a descriptive study with a quantitative approach, aimed to identify the relationship between organizational climate in the NHE regulated in the city of Natal / RN and the job satisfaction among its professionals from the perspective of theoretical issues about Organizational Development. The research was carried out in 13 hospitals with different kinds of sponsorship, 9 public, 3 philanthropic and 1 private. Data were collected using the instrument "organization in hospitals: issues relating to climate and job satisfaction , with 33 professionals appointed and active on NHE. This study obtained an appropriate consent of the Research Ethics Committee of the Hospital of Pediatrics Professor Heriberto Ferreira Bezerra, from the Riograndense Northern League Against Cancer and the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte. Data collected were organized and treated with simple descriptive statistics. It was observed that from 33 of surveyed people, 93% was female, had an average of 40 years old age, with activity duration between 1 and 2 years (84.9%). Furthermore, 45.5% of industry professionals were nurses. It was identified that professionals working in NHE perceive and experience its work environment as an Organization Structure in construction. It was found that with the exception of the aspects "working life", "socio-cultural" and "organizational culture , the other internal and external factors to the NHE does not have strong expression in the forming of an organizational climate conducive to the development of the sector. It was found that 70% of interviewed perceive the organizational climate as favorable for the industry's progress. Regarding the job level of satisfaction, respondents feel fairly satisfied with the organizational structure. Therefore, the results of this study are suggestive that there is some factor that is greatly contributing to a healthy organizational climate that encourages the industry team members of the NHE present behaviors that identify them as actors committed and satisfied with the work, even face of all obstacles to implementation of epidemiological surveillance. Thus, it is suggested for futures studies to seek to determine how the organizational culture, while significant internal factor, influencing the organizational climate establishment of NHE and therefore the level of job satisfaction and well-being of each members of the team / O N?cleo Hospitalar de Epidemiologia (NHE) constitui em uma organiza??o que apresenta um clima organizacional espec?fico, o qual contribui para o n?vel de satisfa??o laboral dos profissionais que nele atuam.

The Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) is one of the most common factors used to analyze the health situation of a population. Therefore, the mortality investigation has been used as an instrument to identify the risk factors related to it in order to assist in the action planning which aims to restructure and improve child and maternal assistance, with the objective to reduce deaths and contribute to the qualification of health information. In light of this, the present study which has a descriptive nature and used a quantitative approach, aims, in a general way, to analyze the quality of infant and fetal mortality investigations in the city of Caic?/RN and as a specific objective, to identify the proportion of investigated and notified infant and fetal death, on the Mortality Information System (SIM) from the Municipal Health Office of Caic?/RN; calculate the average number of days until the conclusion of the process of investigation of infant and fetal death; analyze the completeness and consistency of the data found on infant and fetal death certificates (DO) as well as on the investigation files; classify infant and fetal deaths according to the Brazilian Evitability List; and compare, taking into account the evitability potential, the classification of infant and fetal deaths according to the Brazilian Evitability List and the results obtained after the investigation carried out by the municipality. As participants of the study, it was included all infant and fetal deaths (N=55) from residents of the city concerned, which were notified and investigated on the Mortality Information System (SIM) in the period between 2010 and 2015. It was used secondary data about infant and fetal deaths which came from the death surveillance sector of the city and of the SIM. In order to achieve a better analysis of the investigations, the study followed some dimensions: Completeness, Consistency, Evitability Classification and Time of Investigation, each one of these with its corresponding variables. The data was analyzed through absolute and relative frequencies using the program Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) in the 22.0 version. The results showed a low percentage of the investigation (45, 3%), with the predominance of the investigations occurring after 120 days (82,7%). Concerning the completeness of the data of the instruments which were used in the investigations, the worst ones, for the stillbirth, refer to out-patient files (78,2%) and home interview (78,4%), whilst for the deaths of children under one year old, they are represented for hospital files (70,1%). 75,7% of the fetal cases and 92% of infant cases which were analyzed, showed factors which compromised the consistency of the investigation. Considering the total of infant and fetal deaths, it was predominant in this study (64, 8%) the causes which are evitable by the health care services and only 13, 7% were in accordance when compared to the results based on the classification of the Brazilian Evitability List and the ones obtained in the investigation carried out by the city in question. In general, the study highlighted the fragility of death surveillance in the city of Caic?, in special at the end of the investigations. Therefore, it is important to acknowledge the fact of the relevance of the investigation to be aware of infant and fetal mortality, this way being an important tool for the management of decision making and monitoring infant death with the objective to transform this reality. It is necessary to reinforce the role of the investigation committee and mobilize the managers and health teams to overcome the problems which were found.
