To achieve this goal, a mapping of the prostitution spaces used by transvestites in the city of Campina Grande was carried out, a contextualization of the conditions under which they experience the prostitution, as well as the understanding of the meanings of transvestite, prostitution and violence in their speeches, in order to identify the strategies and tactics used by transvestites prostitutes in face of the violence experienced on the streets. Therefore, different methodological strategies were used such as the field visit, field diary, participant observation and semi-structured interviews. The results obtained from the reports confirm that the destabilization due to its gender performance makes transvestites the favorite victims of transphobic violence. As a way to react to violence, the strategy most used by transvestites is to walk together, to be in a group, having as a purpose the fear of their aggressors, because "beating a transvestite when being alone it is easier for the transphobic, but if they are together it would be a way of imposition against them". The travestites researched respond in different ways to the violence to be able to experience their performances of feminine gender, in order survive exercising the prostitution activity. / A presente dissertação teve como objetivo problematizar os discursos das travestis acerca das Reações às violências perpassadas pela travestilidade e prostituição na cidade de Campina Grande - PB. Para atingir tal objetivo, foi realizado um mapeamento dos espaços de prostituição utilizados pelas travestis na cidade de Campina Grande, uma contextualização das condições em que as mesmas experienciam a atividade prostitucional, além da compreensão dos significados de travestilidade, prostituição e violência em seus discursos, de modo a identificar as estratégias e táticas utilizadas pelas travestis prostitutas perante as violências vivenciadas nas ruas. Para tanto, foram utilizadas diferentes estratégias metodológicas como a visita a campo, diário de campo, observação participante e entrevistas semiestruturadas. Os resultados obtidos a partir dos relatos confirmam que a desestabilização por sua performance de gênero faz das travestis as vítimas prediletas de violências transfóbicas. Como forma de reagirem às violências, a estratégia mais utilizada pelas travestis é andarem juntas, estarem em grupo, tendo como finalidade por medo em seus agressores, pois “bater em uma travesti sozinha fica fácil para os transfóbicos, mas se tiverem juntas já seria uma forma de imposição contra eles”. As travestis pesquisadas reagem de maneiras diferenciadas às violências para poder vivenciar suas performances de gênero feminina, de maneira que possam sobreviver exercendo a atividade prostitucional.
