Domain-Specific Language for Learning Programming / Domain-Specific Language for Learning ProgrammingKlimeš, Jonáš January 2016 (has links)
In the scope of this thesis, we designed a language for programming education. At first, we described eight existing tools for learning programming and identified key features in the learning process. Second, we designed an educational domain-specific language Eddie. Eddie is suitable for teenagers and adults who want to learn programming. It uses a domain based on Karel the Robot language, where users can control a robot character in a two-dimensional grid. We implemented a prototype of Eddie using the MPS Language Workbench and its projectional editor. The Eddie language gradually introduces loops, conditionals, variables, functions, and objects. Eddie programs can be created, executed and visualized in the Eddie Studio IDE. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Development and evaluation of a 6DOF interface to be used in a medical application / Utveckling och utvärdering av ett 6DOF gränssnitt för användning i en medicinsk tillämpningLarsson, Ulrica, Pettersson, Johanna January 2002 (has links)
<p>This thesis was performed at the research centre CINECA in Bologna, Italy. An interface with six degrees of freedom, 6DOF, to be used in a virtual environ- ment for the positioning of medical components was developed in co-operation with IOR, one of the most important orthopaedic hospitals in Italy. The main reason for doing this was to find out whether or not a virtual en-viron-ment and 6DOF interaction could make the pre-operative planning of an ope-ration more efficient compared to other techniques. Is it easy to posi-tion an object using stereovision and a 6DOF tracker tool? Further-more, the interface might also be used in other applications and areas in the future. </p><p>Described is the development of an interaction class especially constructed for the use of a tracking tool called a stylus pen. This tool takes advantage of all 6DOF, i.e. it recognises movements in the x, y and z directions and likewise the orientation of the tool around the three axis. Moreover, an application which uses the interaction class was created in order to evaluate its usefulness. The application enables the user to load, save and position objects within a virtual environment. The result of this evaluation is then described and discussed. </p><p>In the evaluations it was shown that the stylus pen with 6DOF is an intuitive in-ter-action tool which works well for positioning. The stereovision also seems to further improve the users ability to position objects. However, the created interaction class needs to be further developed before itcan be implemented in a pre-operative planning tool.</p>

Domain-specific languages / Domain-specific languagesJasný, Vojtěch January 2009 (has links)
The topic of the thesis are domain-specific languages (DSL) and their use in software development. The target audience are developers interested in learning more about this progressive area of software development. It starts with a necessary theoretical introduction to programming languages. Then, a classification of DSLs is given and software development methodologies based on DSLs are described, notably Language Oriented Programming and Intentional Programming. Another important piece in construction of domain-specific langauges -- the language workbench is also described. In the next chapter, several important tools for DSL creation are presented, described and compared. Each of the tools represents a different possible approach to designing DSLs -- textual, projectional or graphical. The last chapter of the thesis contains a practical example of a DSL implementation in the Meta Programming System by Jet- Brains and Xtext from Eclipse. A domain-specific language for the description of questionnaires is designed from scratch and a code generator for that language is created. A comparison of the DSL based technique to traditional software development techniques is given and the tools used are compared.

Teplotní analýza synchronního stroje / Thermal analysis of synchronous machineBartoň, Petr January 2013 (has links)
The master’s thesis deals with analysis of warming and cooling of synchronous machine. The warming is caused by the machine’s losses resulting from the conversion of electrical energy into mechanical energy. There then can be achieved high values of temperature on the machine, which can lead to destruction of the machine. The transient thermal analysis, working on the finite element program Ansys Workbench, is used for thermal analysis. As an appropriate instrument, which serves for flow calculation, a module CFX in the program Ansys Workbench may be used. In the practical part the model for unhampered alternator with current in the field winding only was measured and after that, the measured values were compared with the results of transient thermal analysis. Speed and progress of air flow through machine were analyzed with CFX module.

Návrh vysokootáčkového motoru 350kW 40 000min-1 / Design of high speed induction motor 350kW, 40000r.p.m.Karásek, Ladislav January 2016 (has links)
This thesis deals with the problem of the high-speed electrical machines. In the introduction summary of the high-speed machines are discussed. Induction machine with squirrel cage winding and solid rotor is chosen as suitable solution for given requirements. The multiple types of designs of the induction machines with solid rotor and problematic areas are discussed. Main part of this thesis is an electromagnetic design of the machine with respect to mechanical stress. The designed machine is analyzed with the use of finite element method in ANSYS Mechanical and Maxwell software.

Weapons service table / Vapenvårds bordEskilsson, Tom January 2023 (has links)
One of the weapons used on the Visbykorvett is a machine gun (KSP 88). The machine gun need’s regular maintenance and that is usually done on the floor at shooting platform or the weapon is carried down into the ship to a suitable location. This is both unergonomic and impractical, which is why the Swedish Armed Forces have built a prototype of a weapons service table. This prototype does not meet all the requirements, but it was used extensively and it confirmed that a weapon service table is needed. That is why the Swedish Armed Forces, the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration and the company Mildef have created this opportunity for a master thesis. In this project, two research questions have been formulated that’s going to be answered: How can a table be designed to handle heavy loads while still being portable? How should a table be designed to be transported by one person? To answer these research questions, several concepts were developed and two of these were worked on for a longer period of time. What became clear towards the end of the project was that there was an optimal design for each research question and the requirement to handle high load was given the highest priority when design was chosen.
